I was so bummed when he didn't win Wimbledon!

So happy for Andy Murry!!!!!! Yes it is not winning Wimbledon but he got a Gold medal at the Olympics and the Tennis matches were held at Wimbledon and he did it in front of an adoring crowd who have claimed the scotsman as a son to their country. He pretty much got a bit of revenge. He was so upset when he didn't win Wimbledon so winning this and beating Roger has to feel damn good.

Eta: Murry also has a Silver medal. He helped win that with his Mixed doubles partner. Bryan/Raymond won the bronze and Mierney/Azaranka won Gold!!!! congrats to all!

Boo to Venus and Serena winning the womens doubles. You can't deny their talent but attitudes get me. Venus is less annoying than Serena but ugh

Congrats to the US indoor Volleyball team on their win against a very tough turkey team. I hope the girl injured for the US will be okay

I remember watching that at Wimbledon right after the match. I was in tears. He is bearing the burden of a nation on his shoulders. Hopefully winning the Gold medal will ease some of that but sadly I believe the Brits will have a short memory when it comes to Andy winning Wimbledon.

Yes, I saw this video at the site I was reading about him winning the gold medal. He sure wears his heart on his sleeve. I am so happy for him today! I hope his country is so proud of him!

So happy for Misty and Keri on winning their quarter final today against Italy. One more step closer! The other women's beach volleyball team of April Ross and Jen Kessey also won today!

Major for the women's indoor volleyball team, the women's basketball team AND the women's water polo team!!!

Yep that's the one! .......and I tell you, I saw a piece on the rivalry tonight and wow these girls do not like each other! No offence, the but US girls seem rather arrogant. I sure hope our girls put it to them!!

I used to like the soccer team. Not much these days.

i have no clue who is on the American soccer team except for Hope Solo. If this team is arrogant then that is to bad cause when the team had Mia Hamm on the team they were not that way.

Still rooting for a tie between the US and Canada. Don't want to see either team lose.

Oh goodness. My heart is breaking for the Canadian girl in the vault final in women's gymnastics. That was painful to see happen.

Thank you for posting the video Teddy and it was very cute. When Missy Franklin was being interviewed they showed part of it. I will say of the videos I have seen of people doing the Call Me Maybe song this one is in a three way tie with collide conference,(the one Kris is part of),one and the Staple Center staff, teams cheerleaders,team fans and sports announcers one. I would say the three are the most fun.

Congrats to MaKayla on her silver medal. Hope the young canadian girl is okay after her fall when trying to stick her landing of the vault.

I thought gymnastics was over?? I mean the team won and Gabby won all around so I thought that was it. Like I said I don't watch - just read results or catch some highlights. So what all happened??

No, gymnastics is not over yet. They are doing individual apparatus now. I think Gabby is slated to compete in 3 more events so she has a chance to win more medals. Jordyn is also going to be in at least 1 event but I'm not sure of the others.

The only guy I know who won't be competing in any other events is John Orozco.

Lordy they seem to go on forever! I obviously don't follow gymnastics either.

I have no idea. I didn't watch it.

McKayla was the overwhelming favorite to win Gold in the vault individual final. She ha the highest score overall from qualifying and she's the current World Champion. She hit her first vault extremely well aside from a hop on the landing. The second vault she ended up sitting on. She was under rotated and didn't get the height she needed. When someone sits down on a vault it's an automatic whole point off. She got hammered in her score. It cost her the gold but not by much.
