| Thank FC. We watched down hill skiing from Kitzbuhl, Austria and free style from Quebec. Australia and China took top four spots in the freestyle. | |

| I used to watch almost every Olympic event I could. Now not so much.
Like the Skating, even speed skating and my boy Ono.
Hockey finals
Some skiing.
Definitely will watch the half pipe and other snow boarding events to see local hero and Briah's friend Scotty Lego.

| I will try to catch the hockey games with the USA. Speed skating is OK. Don't care about the skiing or bobsled or luge or any of that stuff. | |

| So it was made official a couple of days ago that Plushenko would be competing as the sole men's individual competitor for Russia. There were lots of stories coming out prior it would be him but it wasn't confirmed until late this last week. Unbelievable if you ask me.
I also read Ashley Wagner has changed her free skate to last season's program instead.

| Plushenko the only male skater for Russia. That is very odd. | |

| Just watching the news, it's so sad that the threat of terror attacks is overshadowing the talk of excitement for the games. They should never have awarded them to Russia. The NHL says if there is a significant attack before Feb 9th that compromises security, they will evaluate sending the players there. | |

| I AGREE!!!!!
WTF with Russia?????????? And after the Boston bombings and the connections to Russia??????!!! And all of Russia's other crap!!!!!!
I have been reading about tons of people who usually go to the Olympics NOT going this time and that many athletes have asked their families not to go! I am really afraid for the athletes!!
I have been debating not watching any of it as my personal protest for this decision!!
I read a post the other day and the woman said she is not going to watch any part of it live for fear of seeing some tragic thing happen. She is only going to watch things taped. I think that is a wise decision!

| I wouldn't go and I would pull my teams out. Russia has done very little to ensure that terrorist are held at bay. Not worth it IMO. | |

| It could still happen. The NHL in particular won't mess around. I hate to think of the insurance they have to pay on those players to send them.
I won't be watching live probably with it being there and the time difference but I can't totally boycott it.

| A lot of the NHL players have told their families to stay home. I will watch live if I can. I love CBC coverage and hoping we get good insight into how Russia is now compared to under Soviet control. | |

| THE USA has big air craft carriers stationed in case they need to get all the Americans out of the country. I really think TPTB feel something is going to happen. | |

| It will be strange with her not competing this time. I'm starting to get excited! I'm glad I have a PVR to record the events with the time change. It is 9 hours ahead of here. | |
