WOW oh WOW Pele the best soccer player ever made an appearance when they were doing the Rio part of the show.. The soccer players of all country's probably loved that.

I love this song from Take That,(minus Robbie Williams). Rule the World is a great song! Off again to Itunes to see if I can find it I can't buy the Take That song unless I buy the whole olympic cd

Yes each countries Olympic committee being able to take home their petal from the cauldron is quite special. Each petal has a countries name on it. What a lovely touch! That was a really pretty ending especially with that song from Take That.

Yeah, I don't understand why they had to cut the closing ceremony short to preview a new show. It just doesn't make much sense to me especially since the preview is at 11pm at night. They did the same thing a few nights ago ending primetime coverage at 11 to preview the new Matthew Perry show.

I tell ya I am soooooooo happy I watched the Closing ceremonies cause if i wouldn't have i would not of found out about Emeli Sande or Jessie J. or Take That and if i wouldn't of found out about them I never would of heard the gorgeous "Read All About It" from Emeli or the inspiring and beautiful "Rule The World" from Take That. Want to say my thoughts and prayers go out to Gary Barlow from Take That and his wife. Their daughter was born still born I believe last week I would not of had it in me to show up at the Olympic Closing ceremonies after a loss like that. RIP to their little Angel.

Well they only showed The Who, but it was well worth it. The ending credits from NBC with scenery of Great Britain as well as many highlights of competition made me misty eyed. My gosh that is some beautiful landscape. There were so many great memorable triumphs from these Olympics and some real heartbreaking loses too. These two weeks sure flew by. Dear London thank you for a job well done!

Did they play both George's songs on NBC? Sounds like they cut quite a bit. I'm glad I got to watch it live here in the afternoon. They cut some out here in the evening edition but we got it all in the afternoon.

I thought Jessi J did great last night.

Emelie Sande was part of the tribute to the victims of that terrorism incident in London which occurred shortly after it was announced it had won the 2012 Summer Olympics. NBC opted not to show it.

The song she's singing, "Abide with Me" is a Christian hymn which apparently has become very popular in the UK and is often sung at sporting events.

I bet if you watched any of Adam's performances with QUEEN you wouldn't have thought so much of Jessi J with them Heck, she even copied Adam's back bend with Brian
