The rest of my thoughts.

It's too dang bad CB is such a douchbag. The guy is so talented. I enjoyed the groove of the song. It was another that made me want to dance. Qaasim was the best part of it for me, He was having an absolute blast!!

Quentin and Vance Joy were an interesting pairing, one that I wouldn't have imagined together, but somehow it worked. I really, really liked it. GO QUENTIN! I LOVE HIM!

I like Steven Tyler's new song. Jax and him together were rockin though a bit rough around the edges for me. Even so kudos to them because they completely went for it and had fun doing it.

The opening number was fun. Good way to start off the show!

Tyanna with The Jackson's was cool. I do wish she had gotten to perform something more youthful though.

Overall a great finale night!!! One of the best in quite a while. There was lots of great entertaining performances. Good music. Lots of diversity. I thoroughly and completely enjoyed it.

Why is IDF down so often lately?  It must be frustrating for those who belong there.

FC, I haven't seen any interview with Clark that indicates that (although I wouldn't blame him......he and Scott are like oil and water).  There is an interview with Billboard but nothing like that in it.

IDF has been terrible for over a week!!!!  And it has been having problems before that.  I read that many gave up and left the board and are posting elsewhere.

You know, it could just be that some Clark fans are interpreting that from the way he said something or a look on his face.  Who knows.  There are probably a ton of interviews floating around.   That is why I wish I could get on IDF because I am sure people are putting his interviews in his thread.

Teddy, I want Qaasim in a funk band so bad!!  That boy is such a performer/entertainer.

I thought Chris Brown was amazing and I hate myself for that......  So talented and such a dick!!

Yes FC. I agree regarding CB. And the performance.

CB is mega talented and both Briah and Kirah loved him before the Rhianna incident.

Now not so much.

I always thought CB has a beautiful and is quite the entertainer. But he is a monster.

I thought Daniel with New Kids was fun. 1D would have been better.

OK I am glad Nick's song is so good and I heard it on Kiss 108 today but still not Ghost Town.

Dear it is concurred. I am okay today, great show. However, it was blatant manipulation to oust Clark and the setup for Nick to win. Going last week after week with heavy praise and jabs at Clark. However, I saw an interview with Clark at 5am this morning on Fox news. I think part of the manipulation was from Clark himself. He did not want to be with Scotts' label. He said he thanks God that things worked out as they did and that they are like they should be. Nick is a very nice guy and can sing but, he has no originality so I do not think he will help Idol. He is a lot like PP and he did not help. I hope he can help though, I really do. Idol is my JAM!

Did MJ write that?  Of course Idol is her 'jam'.......it's her paycheque.  When idol goes bye, bye so does her blog for the most part.  Does she not realize that no person is going to save Idol now?  They crown an Idol and people move on to the next one.  Idol is dying because it is old and dated.....period.

I think she's putting words in Clark's mouth.

Clark gave some radio interview and said he didn't want to work with Scott. Lots of comments there about it,

Hathor it was me who asked about MJ. 

In the Billboard interview from what I remember he said exactly what he said during the show last night, about he will be where the Lord wants him to be, I'm taking that same thing from Billboard.  That said, like I said earlier, I don't blame him.  Scott wants someone who will say 'yes' to everything.  Clark isn't that guy.

I am quite sure Clark wanted to win. He is happy for Nick I am sure. But he wanted to win. I do think he would have been butting heads with Scott.

Clark will need to be willing to listen and learn if he wants a successful recording career.

I heard Taylor was like that too. Chris and Adam were willing to work with label and now both have good recording careers. Compromse is a good thing.

Yeah, Taylor threw a fit about having to record that god awful coronation song and sing it at all the follow up interviews.  

But who can blame him.  That horrid song was soooooooo not Taylor or even close to the artist he was.  That part has to be tough. 

Clark is very young and Scott is extremely successful and knows what he is doing.  I think most artists make compromises with the label etc.

It goes both ways.  Scott put on a good face but you could tell that Clark isn't the kind of artist he wanted to work with.  Sometimes it's for the best to not work with each other.  Compromise isn't always an option........look at Kelly and Clive.........Adam and RCA.  They both moved on and are better for it.

Canear, moving on after a year or two is preferable to walking away from being signed. IMO

Chris Daughtry has to go pop rock and he didn't want to. He had to have an entire new band and cut his long time friends and bandmates loose.

I guess it depends on how badly you want it and if you are willing to compromise and to what extent.

Kelly had way more success under Clive.

Taylor IMO cut his nose to spite his face as did Clay.

Now Phillip is waging that battle. Hope it works out for Phillip as I do Clark

But in today's tough music biz it is hard being signed. Other lables will hear that Clark is difficult to work with and be hesitant. Word travels fast.

I do believe Do I Make You Proud sold well and lined Taylors pockets.

For Clarks sake, I hope some Christian label signs him and is able to find common ground.

It would be great if Clark could meet Colton.  I think they have a lot in common and Colton has had great success in the Christian genre without having to compromise himself. 

There is no hard evidence out there that says Clark is difficult.  Assumptions are being made.  If he had won I am certain he would have given it his all no matter who he had to work with.  He didn't win.  He has the option of trying to find someone he is comfortable working with.   Only time will tell where it takes him..

Christian music appears to be hard to break into as well.
