| Okay if I was BSB I would be so freaking pissed off with the Judges. All five of the guys are amazing vocalist and not just pretty boys. They all can out sing Harry and JLO I just want to slap all the judges. For their critique of the guys,(D and M), wasn't cool Hated Trent and La'Porsha's duet! Missed Sonika and Avalon Tristan and Lee I actually liked it but somewhere when the music was to change something wonky went on with the music it was weird. Poor guys got chewed out when they tried just like Dalton & Mac and again not their pick. It was chosen for them. I don't like the duets cause they are not putting the people with the right partner. Plus the judges get mean and nasty. Shannon | |

| I am having lots of problems with my laptop tonight. It's going so super slow and the pages keep crashing when I try to watch the videos from the show. I have seen the duets minus Tristan and Lee. I thought they were good. I thought Mac and Dalton did just fine with IWITW though I was hoping for more. Avalon and Sonika were a surprise. They sounded good together. Trent and LaPorsha were good but the arrangement was too jumpy for me. I have also seen solos from Dalton, Mac and Trent all of which I really liked and enjoyed very much!! They each did such a great job. The rest I'll have to catch up with later or tomorrow. | |

| Wrote about Duets in my last post. Still ticked at the Judges over the comments for the duets. BSB tweet the judges and give them a piece of your minds!!! *************** Solos: ****** La'Porsha: What the heck was she wearing? Not flattering at all. Did not like her performance at all. Give me Kris Allen singing this song any day or course give me Beatles version. Mac: Beautiful sweet performance! Trent: Good song for him; nice performance! Tristan: Loved the performance; One little hiccup towards the end but she went for it with all she had and I give her props for doing so. Diana Degarmo and Jordan Sparks are the only two I know of who were able she really hit that note that Tristan had the little hiccup on. I just watched Diana's performance of the song and I honestly believe Tristan's performance was better on the whole minus the one note. Diana soared on the note but wasn't as strong throughout. Her performance was good but put it next to Tristan's you really see it. Diana is my girl so I don't say that lightly cause Diana does amazing on so many songs. Dalton: Don't like the song at all but he did well. Loved the ending. Avalon: Not her strongest performance Lee: Bless his heart he put all the emotion in that performance and I felt it but it was not his best and being in the bottom three he needed to be spot on. Sonika: Took a huge chance singing a Whitney song and also a song that Jennifer Hudson totally made magic with Season 3. She tried but like Lee and Avalon it was not her best she is lucky she got the save. ***** Nicks song was okay but sounded like another song out there. He was for sure sampling a song cause the lyrics in the chorus were for sure from another song. Loved the songs they flashed back to. Loved Seeing Kris,(worth watching the show just to see that little glimpse of him singing "Aint No Sunshine" !!!!! Was sad they didn't show a bit of Anthony Fedorov doing "I Surrender". He was great on it like Kelly was. People on other sir=tes are wondering why Philip hasn't been shown in any of the little past song snippets or past years. Is Idol still mad at him? ************** Sooooooooooooooo sorry to see Lee gone I will miuss that sweet guy. Again Teddy so sorry about Avalon! Next week will be special for me for sure Seeing Adam on tv on Thursday and then having Kris's new cd on Friday!!! Can't wait till next week!!! Off to vote!!! Shannon

| I'm not surprised Avalon is gone. Good voice but I never really liked her solo song choice and sorry but she needs to maybe play the game a bit mre. She dressed like she's oing to the skate park or hanging with frends. She is very pretty and looed good when she wore her hair loose with a bit of makeup/ Yep I think Sonika has to have a stellar performance next week to stay in the competition.
Love Dalton, Mac, La Porsha this week on the solos. Liked La Porsha and Trent, Mac and Dalton and Sonika and Avalons duets.

| Teddy did you get to see the other performances yet? Also did you still vote? Martina McBride tweeted Tristan ************** @martinamcbride Beautiful job @tristanmcintosh! *************** May be a bit mad at Keith still cause of the critique on Mac and Dalton and the jab at my BSB who are all amazing singers but he is the one I can't stay mad at,(JLO and Harry are the two who I want to smack the most. As I said Every member of BSB could out sing Harry and JLO). He always tweets the contestants after the show with such kind tweets it just makes me love him again. Also I love how he promotes his friends music. He did it with Vince Gill cd last week and this week he did it with Martina Mcbrides. He is a good guy! | Canear - I don't go looking for haters! I always read the Discussion Thread at IDF for the performance shows. It is posters posting along to the show live just like we do. I love seeing what other people think compared to me (us) about all the singers. I keep both tabs open and since there are only a few of us here posting it is easy to keep up over there were there are many more posters and opinions.
I was just surprised how many people there didn't like Dalton's performance and I was surprised how many people there did like Mac's. He is certainly not adored over there. And I certainly do see hate and negativity about Mac and I deal with it just fine! You took a jab at him last night and I didn't jump on you. I don't expect everyone to like him, just like everyone didn't like Adam or Clay. I can deal with it. As I said, I do not expect Mac to win or even make final 2. I am prepared for that.
I just like to see the opinions of people who are NOT fans as that gives me some idea how the general population might feel and how they might vote. Those who vote based on that week's performance. Those who are not diehards of one particular contestants. It's interesting. I won't learn anything about how Mac is really doing if I just read his FANS' opinions. Fans tend to love everything one does. Like you and Hathor love every single thing about Dalton. I can't learn anything about how Mac is being seen if I only read his fans fawning over him. I like the broader perspective.
Ruben send a tweet to Mac that if he recorded the song like that it would be a hit! How sweet of Ruben! Keith sent Mac a tweet of praise also. I feel pretty confident that Mac will be safe for one more week at least.
Teddy - sorry your laptop was being a pain. Hopefully it is better now. Sorry about Avalon. I do agree with Kate. I think Avalon did need to play the game a bit more.
Angel - I knew the glimpse of Kris would make you happy! No idea if Phillip will be on, but they have talked about him and showed him during auditions/Hollywood so I think things are OK there.
Can't wait for Adam next week! Best contestant ever!! I wonder what the theme is???

| FC question did you or did you not like Daltons performance? You never said.
When did Canear take a poke at Mac? She said he sang well? IMO I was glad to see her compliment.
IMO both Mac and Dalton should be safe. Sonika and Trent should b 2.
Thankfully Dalton is 2nd behind LaPorcha on MJS for best performance. That is not a Dalton loving crowd.

- He did awesome!
Yes I did!! THAT is my post from the second he was done performing!! People just don't read my posts sometimes But, to be completely honest - I think the arrangement and spectacle aspect was great. He was fun to watch. I do not think vocally it was great. I just do not find his voice special or interesting. HE is interesting. But not his voice. I thought he sounded rather flat. Could be continuing effect of the sinus infection. But it was great performance to WATCH. Canear made the comment "will he ever come out from behind the mic". She didn't leave it at he sang well. And no I don't think he will because that is not who he is. He is singer/songwriter like Sawyer (who also didn't come out from behind the mic and won) and he is never going to put on a spectacle like Dalton did. It would probably be laughable if he did. Clearly she is not a fan of Mac and that is fine. I am not loony for Dalton and that it fine too. I like him, but I am not loony for him. I am leaning towards Trent as my second fave after Mac followed by Dalton. Couldn't care less about any of the girls left. They all can leave. I loved Jenn, Olivia and Avalon. All gone. So just don't care for the girls left - even though I know LaP is a sweet and very talented lady. And I am pretty sure one of the final 2 spots will go to her.... I will be happy if Mac, Trent or Dalton wins. Any of the girls left winning will be disappointing for me. And I know dang well Mac isn't going to win. He is not a powerhouse or unique or a showman. But if he makes the tour (if there is one) I will be thrilled and if he gets to number 3 and the hometown visit I will be over the moon for him.

| Thank you FC. I guess I did miss that or didn't realize it was your comment about Dalton.
I disagree about Daltons voice. I enjoy it. I agree he isn't the best vocalist but IMO he is a Star.
I am not a Trent fan. But I have been hoping for a Dalton Mac finale since day 1.

| Well I would love a Mac/Dalton final 2 but I have no delusions that Mac will make it. Dalton has a good chance though.
Only time will tell if any of these kids will become a star after the show. I honestly have my doubts. There have been people from both Idol and The Voice and even America's Got Talent that I thought would be stars and yet - they didn't. So I just have no idea if this final season of Idol will produce one.

| Well, it is what it is. I asked a general question. Phillip was basically a WGWG but he had IT for me and he did eventually change things up and moved around some even if awkwardly. He has now grown immensely. Mac just does not grab me at all. Dalton may not have the perfect voice but it is an interesting voice to me and I love it flaws and all. It makes his showmanship even more interesting to me. I won't comment any more on Mac.
A couple more thoughts from last night.........Lee posted this.........he is such a classy young man. I sure do wish him well in his future endeavours. In a couple of years, he might have been able to win this thing.
Lee Jean Jr 6 hrs · Thank You all for all the words of support, but keep in mind this to me at my age lol was an awesome experience and stepping stone to Great things...I'm not sad everyone has to go home, it's only going to be 1 winner lol God has bigger plans for me I guess...this is truly just the beginning for me...so many doors have just opened an I thank God for blessing me so...I really do appreciate all the love and support #teamleejeanjr #famiLEE #blufftonproud ....Im not sad so don't you be ...Its time to celebrate!!!!

| You can comment on him all you want. He ain't your cuppa and I get that. You asked if I would want to see negative comments about Mac and I said I see them all the time - even here. There is no one contestant every single person is going to love - except maybe Kelly Clarkson There is a thread at IDF saying how bad it would be if Idol ended with Mac/Dalton final 2. Yet some of us here would like that. Art/music/artists/songs all subjective. As long as nobody attacks Mac as a human being and the comments are about his voice/music it's all fine. | |

| I hate Sleezak. He is so boring, big divas and runs or singer songwriter. He loathed Adam. Loved Kris.
Yes FC music is so subjective. I have never been a wgwg huge fan. I like beautiful tone to a voice and Mac has that. I also want to be dazzled. Entertained.
P2 grew on me because he went so deep inside he became the music. The rest meh. To my ears Mac is an infinitely better vocalist than Kris Allen.
Dalton has a nice melodic voice. Medium range nice control. He doesn't do anything fancy but he doesn't need to.
I get very board if I attend an hour concert and the artist never moves.
I like a combination of dazzling performances and emotional moving ballads.

| I so agree about P2!! The music comes from every pore!! And his albums are still my faves of any Idol! I play his more than anyone's'!
Even though I do not always agree with Sleezak I always enjoyed him and his show and Melinda D. Very entertaining. He came around to appreciating Adam.
I love Mac's voice too and I love his original songs.
I too was always very fussy about who I paid money to see. But I did go see people like Jim Croce, Gordan Lightfoot (wonderful concert) Laura Nyro (just sat at her piano and was amazing) Steve Goodman, John Prine (loved him!!) Bonnie Raitt (saw her with John Prine) and other folks singers from the Chicago area.
But tickets were not so expensive and a wonderful evening for not a lot of money! Good times in downtown Chicago before it became the shoot out at the OK coral city it is now!

| If Dalton gets to stick around when they do 2 or 3 performances I hope he is over the sinusitis and sits his butt at the piano and shuts everyone the fuck up who hasn't taken the time to listen to youtubes and hear him well. Also to see what an exceptional song writer get is.
FC did you listen to Stop Daltons song that I pm you?
I love Mac original music. Roses and Heartbeat my favs.
Nothing are more than pretty faces and singers. They are multitalented.

| Well, it is certainly very depressing. But I guess it goes with his own personal health situation.
I am sorry, but I still do not think he is a great singer. Don't be annoyed with me for that. Talented stage performer though and song re-arranger.

| I don't think Dalton is a great singer. Good yes, great no. With his other exceptional skills he has all the is necessary to be successful. Not many can perform as naturally as Dalton does. Also his ability to set an entire stage, lighting, mood, arrangement etc. He leaves no stone unturned in the performance.
Stop speaks to so many young people and the pressure. Turning to drugs and cutting themselves, anorexia, bulimia. On and on. The pressures of the world today are just too much for many young people.

| Except for Adam, I do not enjoy perfect voicesense Canear. Jason Castro comes to mind. Hardly perfect but man he moved me. Daltons voice is perfect in its imperfection. Imo.
Stop if sung by say Adam would not be as moving. You know I have often felt that if Adam could loose some technical prowess and sound more vulnerable he would be more successful.

| Couldn't disagree more about Adam!! Mad World? Soaked? Who Wants To Live Forever? Just a few songs where his "perfect voice" easily shows pain and vulnerability! He could easily do the same with "Stop" which is really more talking than singing anyway. | |
