AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 12

So the song arrangements for the tour are interesting. It breaks down like this.

Curtis, Paul, Devin and Aubrey each get ONE song.

Laz, Burnell, Janelle and Amber each get TWO songs.

Kree and Angie both get THREE.

Candice gets FOUR.

I don't know but it looks strange to me. It's certainly got a very different dynamic based off these numbers. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I so wish Janelle was getting three.........

Apparently there are a lot of group numbers. One of them being "GONE GONE GONE".

Angie hinted at singing another NEW original song in addition to "You Set Me Free".

Glad Angie is singing originals.

I would prefer Janelle had 3 songs as well.

But I will not be going anyway.

I will go see Angie when she tours on her own.

I hope there are a lot of group numbers because I would sure hate to be out on a tour and get one stinking song!!

No way I am going either Hathor. But then I never go to the Idol tour

I just read that UMG Nashville has passed on Kree.  She has not been signed. She is the first runner-up in Idol history to not be signed by the label associated with Idol. What a bummer for her.... She is done with her Idol contract on August 17th. Guess she will have to shop around and see what happens.

Man, they passed on Kree and Angie...

Interesting.

I guess they're being more cautious now.  There are so many that they sign that don't succeed they must just be giving the contracts to those who actually win.    I'm sure once Kree gets herself to Nashville in August there will be interest in her..........and I do think that Angie could go the same route that Colton did.  Time will tell.

I think Angie should seriously consider the Christian music label that Colton is on. Her second original she is singing seems very much along those lines.

Maybe Kree will be signed on an indie label. I think alt country may be a better fit for her as there is room for more diversity along the lines of Lucinda Williams. Her look is a bit different then the regular country singers. I guess alt country would what country folk was back in the day of Lind Ronstadt.

It doesn't help that the last two winners of The Voice are female country singers.

Janelle fits the country music mold more then Kree. Kree to me is more in the folk side of country. Hope she can find a good indie label and keep performing around Nashville.

I agree with all that.

What a bummer for Kree. I hope once she gets back to Nashville or even during the tour that other labels seek her out.

I feel really bad for this seasons group. They are in Sacramento tonight and the place is pretty sparce   I may not like a lot of them but I don't like to see their tour fail cause of people not wanting to see them. This is going to be the worst selling tour of all 12 seasons I believe and next year the group is going to get paid like crap cause this seasons tour is doing so badly.

Yeah, I bought tickets for the show tomorrow in LA but I really don't feel like going. However, not going means a waste of money so I guess I'm going anyway. I'll probably end up arriving late though due to some things out of my control.

Not at all surprised this tour is selling so poorly. I feel bad for them, but people are not going to pay good money for a show full of pretty uninteresting performers.  If I was going I would be arriving late and leaving after Kree    Sorry, no interest in seeing Candice at all.

The AI Tour used to be awesome. It sold out in seconds and to get close you got
scalped and paid 200+ a ticket.

Those days are done. The AI tour hasn't sold well since Adam.

I thought about going last year to see DeAndre and P2. This year I didn't even think about it.
I only like Angie and Janelle and sitting through the others NOT WORTH IT.

It sells well up here most every year.  There were excellent crowds in Toronto for last year and the year before.  It is usually because it is the only stop in Canada but Scotty, James and Phillip were exceptionally popular here.  I have not a clue about this year cause I do not care.

There has never been such a lack of buzz before, even with Lee DeWyze
