CC, I've watched him on Ellen 3 times now, and need to ask you a question. What did you think of his version of 'Falling'?

Michael can sing anything, and I liked his version of "Fallin'" but I'd much rather hear him do more bluesy songs and also his original music. His producer on the album is Don Was, and Michael said, in some little video clip that I saw somewhere, that Don had him singing more "rock 'n' roll." I'm not sure if I like that or not. (Michael seemed OK with it...in fact, he said he wished he'd thought of it himself!) I think what Michael sings and the way that he sings it is just fine the way it is, thank you very much! I know there are only 4 original songs on the new album, but I don't know anything about the rest of them, other than "Fallin'," which is the first single to be released from the album. I just hope Michael's signature bluesy sound stays intact! I am just a tad disappointed that the first single is a "cover!"

The only reason I'm even concerned about this is because I'm also a Mark Broussard fan, and Mark also has that bluesy, gravely voice. All of Mark's previous albums are incredible and true to his sound, but I understand that his new album, which comes out in June, has a more "pop" sound! I have not listened to them yet (there's an EP out right now on iTunes with a few of the songs from the album) but plan on doing so soon so that I can judge for myself and not take someone else's word for it.

I just want Michael to stay Michael, if you know what I mean! No reason to mess with perfection! I choose to stay positive about the album!
