| Yeah, that's the one Sky brought over that I hesitated to bring for Angel's sake. But what can we do. A lot of the reviews favor Adam over Kris and some reviewers do like to get nasty | |

| Holy Cannoli! Adam got a bad review (Long Island show on Tues., 8/11)!! How in the world did that happen?! (Oh, OK! It was written by a guy!! ) Kudos to Kris though! 'IDOL' WAVE NEEDS MODERN TOUCHBy DAN AQUILANTE AMERICA was right -- kinda. Judging from Tuesday's Nassau Coliseum concert, Kris Allen, not Adam Lambert, is in fact the rightful winner of the 2009 " American Idol" contest. Lambert, who many believed was robbed of the "Idol" title, came on strong with a sledgehammer cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." Looking like an Elvis Presley mannequin, he was all wails and bombast, but that drearily fizzled as he slogged his way through Muse's "Starlight" and the Gary Jules/Michael Andrews "Donnie Darko" version of "Mad World." He was at his worst in a cringe-inducing David Bowie medley that Simon Cowell surely would have deemed below cruise ship entertainment. Besides "Whole Lotta Love," the only other time in Lambert's set where he mined gold was when he sang a duet of Foghat's "Slow Ride" with Allison Iraheta -- and she was the one who made it rock. Kris Allen isn't a performance wiz either, but his set was unforced and had the kind of honesty needed to rescue a cover of The Beatles' "Hey Jude" and Matchbox 20's "Bright Lights" from elevator wreckage. He had heart throughout his set and even injected some blue-eye soul into Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine." Surprisingly, everyone sounded pretty good live. Maybe it's how sound gets compressed when sent over the airwaves, or maybe it's the crappy little speakers on most TVs, but for sure, there's never been a single "American Idol" broadcast that had the clarity or sonic depth that this live show had. That said, the tour could really use some work. The production lazily uses a countdown format, opening with this year's 10th-place finisher and working its way to top man Allen. Michael Sarver's "Love With a Girl" was like starting with a bathroom break. A wiser sequencing would have had Lambert, Allen or Iraheta sparking some fireworks upfront. The show also needs to rethink its geezer set list from classic rock and the power-ballad songbooks. The excess of moldy oldies made the event seem dated. http://www.nypost.com/seven/08132009/entertainment/music/idol_wave_needs_modern_touch_184247.htm | |

| I am skipping the review that was labled Kris fans don't read. But I see your guys post and I see that means it was mean and nasty to my baby :( :( :( The one where Kris got a pretty nice review yay for that but boo to not saying good stuff on Adam. I tell ya when someone doesn't praise adam and may praise kris; it gets Kris hated on more and it gets some adam fans saying the review is totally invalid cause it was a kris fan writing it :( I wish a review would praise both of them!! | No - I don't have links. I've read so many reviews and I just do not post them all. Some are blogs, on-line papers etc. But I have read comments like "Adam is the star attraction, but Kris is also very good". Stuff like that. | |

| The 'American' Dream Gay 'Idol' Adam Lambert became a break-out star on a reality sing-off show - but how's he handling it? And why's he crying? By Joshua Miller Originally printed 8/20/2009 (Issue 1734 - Between The Lines News)
Every TV you turn on, every magazine you read and everywhere you turn, everyone is talking about Adam Lambert. Before securing the runner-up spot on "American Idol," he worked the club scene, tearing up the stage with his androgynous sense of style, vocal power and a range that would make Mariah Carey jealous. He's also been a Rolling Stone coverboy - on which he came out (finally!) - and was totted as one of People Magazine's "Hottest Bachelors." Lambert, who's been recording his debut album, is currently performing on the "American Idols Live! Tour 2009," which stops at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Lambert spoke with Between The Lines about handling the sudden fame, drag queens and the songs that make him cry.
After years in Los Angeles trying to "make it" you hit the big time with "American Idol." You must be on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. What is the hardest to cope with?
The hardest part has to be maintaining my friendships. I'm so busy, and I don't want my friends to think that I've forgotten them. It's also difficult because old acquaintances now want to be my new BFFs, and it's so obvious why. It's flattering, but difficult to read people's true motivation.
It seems that so many contestants on "AI" crumble under the pressure. How did you stay so focused?
The pressure is definitely intense, but I've always enjoyed feeling busy and fired up to do projects. The extra expectation helps me deliver a stronger performance. I tried not to see the show as a competition, more as an opportunity for exposure and experience. That helped keep me less intimidated.
What can we expect from you on the "American Idol Tour"?
Expect sickening wardrobe and eye makeup. I'm also closing my set with an amazing David Bowie medley that gets disco-house at the end.
Is there one song that you have heard that you connected with on such a level that you wish you had written it?
"Eclipse" by Robyn - heard it for the first time and wept. It reminds me of my ex and I. Also, "Come Home" by One Republic made me cry as well. It was written about an army wife missing her man, but to me it meant asking for love itself to come to you.
Any advice for struggling artists?
Those auditioning should find a way to set themselves a part from the crowd. Think commercially though - this is the music business. If you sing well, they are gonna be more interested in how to market you. Consider the type of artist you'd be, and bring all that to the audition. Your song choice, look and presence are just as important as your abilities as a singer.
Give us five words that would accurately describe an Adam Lambert performance.
High. Fierce. Beat. Horny. Fun.
a d v e r t i s e m e n t s
What was the last song that you listened to that you honestly enjoyed?
"Lose You" by Peaches
You have said you would love to work with artists like Lady Gaga and Madonna. If you had to pick one artist to sing with dead or alive who would it be?
I would be honored and so intimidated to sing with the late Freddie Mercury.
Who is your favorite drag queen?
Out of fairness, I can't pick one. I love drag queens for the bravery, expression and attitude they bring to the scene.
Describe your music-making process.
I am a team player. I enjoy co-writing where a couple people sit around and throw ideas out and everyone picks the best lyrics for the song. I also make suggestions for the production of the track as well. As long as I am involved in the creation of the song, I am thrilled.

However I love the song Come Home - but then I love One Republic. The lyrics are good for the Robyn song but i am not much into her voice. She makes me think of Bjork and i am not a fan of her. I would love to hear one of my favorite female artist sing this. I love the song Come Home. I have finally heard it from One Rebublic and it is good but Adam's version is amazing and so moves me. | Oh my gosh....the lyrics to Eclipse - Quote :
There's an eclipse in your eye where I used to shine
Every secret untold is a planet aligned
Don't need prophets or preachers to make sense of the signs
when the buried and hidden can be seen by the blind
You're right
Some words are best unspoken
So right
Then it all just falls apart-
the day I break your heart
I caught my reflection
in the corner of your eye
You said don't even ask the question
and I won't tell the lie
When there's no accusations
there's no need for denial
If you hadn't heard that whisper
there'd be no need to wipe tears from your eye
You're right
Some words are best unspoken
So right
Then it all just falls apart-
the day I break your heart
I never took no advice
not the foolish not the wise
all the truth that I needed was right there in your smile
Every prophecy written of what's going to be
All beginnings and endings
they're about you and me
You're right
Some words are best unspoken
So right
Until it all just falls apart-
the day I break your heart
What the heck did Brad do to our Adam???????? And how the heck are they still friends??

Those are the million dollar questions. They broke up less than a year ago didn't they? I was surprised to see Adam thank him in the notes in the tour program. Those lyrics make me so sad for Adam....... :(

| Well Angel - I doubt Adam will record songs with titles like: "Diddle My Skittle" She has recorded some weird sexual stuff. Her newer stuff seems better though. No idea what happened with Brad - but he did indeed break Adam's sweet little heart. Surprised they are still friends today.

Those lyrics make me so sad for Adam....... :( Yeah - seriously. Using that song as indication then Adam's heart must have really gotten stomped on. It blows my mind how he could possibly even have any contact let alone a close loving friendship type of relationship with someone who hurt him so badly. It's crazy. How does that work? I mean I know it's not out of the question because it happens, but only once in a blue moon. Really how many relationships do you know of that ended that badly (based on the song) where the couple remained close? I sure as heck don't know of anyone. When Angel had told me Adam thanked Brad in the tour book and read it off to me the day she was here I couldn't believe it. I was like "What?" Oh well....all the power to the two of them!!!!! I must say though Adam strikes me as someone who is and can be far more vulnerable and emotional than he lets on and it appears to the outside world. He might be this real funky glam rock guy who stretches people's limits and pushing boundaries, and is sexy as all get out, but all that aside I think he's a real sweetheart with a huge loving heart. So knowing, to a certain degree, that he got hurt makes me feel very sad.

This is exactly how I feel! Sky - her earlier stuff seems so much worse - she was like the white Lil'Kim Maybe she is attempting to go a little more mainstream with the new CD.
