Aw, I just don't think JD thinks before he speaks. I bet he didn't mean any disrespect Lukas and his wife with the "opening" comment and it just came out wrong.

Not sure how much time JD spends at the fanboards and I think he just always thought of 448 as the major fanboard. I don't think I even know of any other ones :scratch: 448 and RockBand.

I just wish him luck, peace, health and some happiness.

No, he doesn't, but for him to tell Lukas to be the opening act for him was a bit arrogant. He should have just accepted Lukas' offer of help in anyway and left it at that.

There are A LOT of JD fan forums. I know he went with the well known one and the one with the right name, but he has no idea what he has done. He'd have been better off just leaving it alone.

I should Google JD forums and see some other ones and what all is being said there.

So what I can gather about all of this is JD served out his contract.......1 CD and a tour. According to Kirk's Journal, which he writes in daily, their last concert was in Asia and the Hong Kong airport would have been the airport to use. JD had to have known the contract had been fulfilled. JD never used the word "fired" but ET Canada and various news items used the word. JD just hadn't heard from INXS for 2 yrs., so that should have been a clue. JD might have been contracted to sing for them again? We'll never know, will we? JD needs a gag order on himself. My biggest problem with him is he says he's clean now for almost 2 yrs. but still he drinks and uses pot. He led the life style of a rockstar and I hope he learned a little bit more so if he gets another chance he'll survive.

Sadly, I guess because he stopped using cocaine (which is great) he thinks of himself as clean Oh how I wish someone could knock some sense into him. I hate to think he blew his chances for some more work with INXS. What can you do though I just really hoped for so much more for JD than what he is left with.

I do wish that even though INXS didn't need his services for the last two years that they would have at least stayed in tough with him as friends/family would do. Perhaps JD's state of mind and situation would be much better had he at least felt he still had them in his life.

I think he chooses to live out of his truck, for now, and stays with friends. Everything has been spent trying to get his CD out. I'm glad he's trying to make a career for himself and I wish him lots of success. INXS is an old band, I didn't and don't see them going on tour again, perform somewhere maybe but not tour.

That's what I meant - a performance here and there. It would be nice to know he had that option. Don't think he does now. It would have been a little extra cash and some fun for him.

TORONTO — If J.D. Fortune wasn’t kicked out of INXS before, it appears as though he is now.

The Canadian singer recently told Entertainment Tonight Canada that his bandmates unceremoniously dumped him at a Hong Kong airport after a 23-month tour, leaving him to live in a truck.

But INXS creative director Chris Murphy has now disputed Fortune’s story.

"Not only are we shocked by the claims, even the place the supposed incident was to have taken place is a mystery to the band," Murphy told the Daily Telegraph.

Fortune also has troubles at home.

A legal action has been started against the singer in Nova Scotia Supreme Court. The Royal Bank of Canada is suing Fortune, also known as Jason Bennison, for $72,489.51. In court documents filed Friday, the bank alleges that the debt is from a Visa account and that Fortune is in default.

No defence has been filed.
Fortune shot to stardom when he won the TV reality contest Rock Star: INXS in 2005 and became the new frontman for the Aussie rock group. A song he wrote on the show entitled Pretty Vegas became a popular single off the band’s subsequent album, Switch.

Murphy told the Daily Telegraph that the other band members — Andrew Farris, Jon Farris, Tim Farris, Kirk Pengilly and Garry Gary Beers — hadn’t decided for certain whether Fortune would return to the group.

"The band has always stated to me that Fortune’s services could potentially be contracted again when INXS next tours," he said. "In fact he was next on my list to call regarding a very big recording project I am putting together for INXS at present.

"I guess I have no reason to call him now."

It’s not the first time Fortune has been down on his luck.

The singer, who spent much of his childhood in New Glasgow, made headlines when he auditioned for Rock Star, saying that he’d recently been sleeping in his car and panhandling to raise cash to feed his dog.

Just before he was crowned the winner, Fortune said his time on Rock Star had helped him turn his life around.

"(This show) has changed me in a really profound way," he told The Canadian Press in 2005. "There is something to be said for being pushed to your limit all the time. You become really focused."

But last week, in the ET Canada interview, Fortune admitted to heavy cocaine use while on tour, which may have played a role in his ouster.

That is so sad! I remember seeing JD when INXS brought their show here and I thought he was a perfect lead singer for the group. I hope he can get himself straightened out. He's blown up his dream!

JD looks a bit better now with his hair cut and combed! LOL

His music is really very good. INXS has been wrong in leading the public and their fans along and letting them think that JD is a member of INXS while all along he was a singer under contract only. JD makes some valid statements in this segment.

He looks good in the car with his hair combed - in fact he looks gorgeous, but the whole rest of the interview is just heartbreaking.

Oh, and I think INXS is full of shit! AND, how horrible of them to "act" so brotherly and like JD was "such a part of the band and family" if they only saw him as "someone who won a contest". Just terrible. What a bunch of phony money grubbers!

And wasn't it their last singer, Jon Stevens?, that warned JD?

I believe so - and at the time I took it as sour grapes I am really pissed now! JD has always appeared to have a "fragileness" about him when it comes to relationships. I know how much JD ADORED the band and loved them so much. How it must HURT like hell to find out they just thought of him as part of a contract Like he was not a human with feelings. I cannot imagine how tough this all is for JD. It is so hard to be on top of the world for a few years and then have it all come crashing down around you like that - especially finding out "your brothers" saw you as nothing more than a two year meal ticket

Me too. I am actually very worried about him If he can't get this CD selling well then I think he will really be in a bad place Because really, between his age and and losing INXS and no money, I just do not know what will become of him. It is scary.

I can't view Youtube at work and will pull it up when I get home, but I thought the band members said JD was just what they were looking for and was an equal partner in the band. Sounds like they were just looking for someone to resurrect their own careers and JD was the ticket. "Phony money grubbers" is right!

Yes, he WAS just what they were looking for! A hot lead singer to bring in a ton of female fans for a two year tour to get them some money and fun and relive their "rockstar days". Then they tossed him out like an old shoe when they were done with their fun and made some extra money! Poop on them! :x
