This was a recent concert in AU with INXS. I must admit, JD looks HOT! Sounds great!! I hope he has his act together! I'd still like to hear some new stuff rather than old stuff.

Yes, it's sad JD's solo efforts never took off. But if he can perform and stay clean and healthy then that is just great!

In case you notice the hideous tattoo on his neck.........I heard he had the tattoo done to cover up the 448 tattoo! There is a design and then below that, it says 'so long'! I think I'm liking it now!

A question we would all like to know the answer to

Two recent articles on INXS. INXS realizes JD is, or is hoping that he is, money for them. I think there still might be some fans of both of theirs still remaining, I'm not one of them.

This quote just has me shaking my head. Do they think just because a fan is now 40 that they aren't listening to current music or am I reading this wrong?

Aw, but I still love JD's voice and performance style. He is still very handsome. Not a fave song for sure.

I'm 'snickering' a little bit over this one...........
Ticket prices were higher but were dropped. I'm not sure if it was the change in venue or to get more people to the show.......... INXS, take note, you can't disappear for years, have problems with a frontman, don't write anything new and expect all your fans to still be there.

A switch from the concert venue Cunard Centre to the downtown Halifax nightclub The New Palace might not be great news for Australian pop-rockers INXS, on tour with Pictou County-raised singer J. D. Fortune, but the show’s promoter says the more intimate environment will provide a bigger kick for fans.

The band behind ’80s hits like Need You Tonight, and the more recent Pretty Vegas and Afterglow, was scheduled to play the harbour-side hall on Tuesday. But, due to what a Sonic Concerts spokesperson describes as "many variables," the group will now perform at the Brunswick Street club with a capacity of up to 1,400.
The upside, according to Sonic, is that fans can get closer to the band and enjoy a festive dance party vibe in a more convenient downtown location.

INXS last performed in Halifax for a packed Metro Centre in 2006, after recruiting Fortune a year before on the Rockstar: INXS reality TV show. The band originally called it quits in 1997 following the death of singer Michael Hutchence. The newly revived act enjoyed chart success with the 2005 CD Switch.

Although INXS parted ways with Fortune at the end of a lengthy world tour in 2009, the singer returned to the fold for its performance at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. On the latest INXS CD Original Sin, Fortune is one of several guest vocalists re-interpreting hits from the group’s heyday, alongside Ben Harper, John Mayer and Rob Thomas. In recent interviews the Salt Springs-raised singer has said he and the band have been working on new material for release later in the year.

Doors at The New Palace open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. The event is restricted to ages 19 and up.

Tickets are $49.50 in advance and $54.50 day of show (plus fees) at the Ticket Atlantic box office (451-1221), Atlantic Superstores and online at www.sonicconcerts.com.
