AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 10 TOUR

I can't wear heels period. Never could. I have flat feet so I've always stuck with flats or low wedges.

I am very curious about the show tonight, are they making any changes?........is Lauren performing?

Aw............she's being a good sport about it! Looks like Adam got hold of her boot!

I bet she will perform. She may have to sit during the numbers but I can't see her not singing. When Diana had her cast on during the season 3 tour she sat for a few times and then would limp around at times. when she got that cast off she wore tennis shoes the rest of the tour. Lauren should stick to her cowboy boots or pull a Diana and do tennis shoes when that heals.

Everybody is saying what a trooper about Lauren for performing last night, I think is very foolish with that kind of sprain she shouldn't be putting any weight on that ankle period, all she is doing is prolonging the healing process, she needs to have her foot elevated as much as possible.

I totally agree FY. The healing comes first. She should just sing her songs from her wheelchair with her foot elevated. Forget the group numbers. Besides, the others having to help her get around ruins the flow of the routines anyway. People will understand her staying seated.

It can’t be good for the healing process having her walking on that ankle so much so soon.

She shouldn’t be doing so much so soon. She could be risking some permanent damage if she does.

Okay, now this is one of my pet peeves. The word is "trouper", not "trooper." It's from when troupes of actors would travel all around the United States doing various plays. The overlying attitude was that short of your own death, you were supposed to make every single performance although of course, this was more the goal than actual reality. So when someone went onstage despite being ill or injured, etc., people would marvel "What a trouper!" "She has a sprained ankle and she's in terrible pain, yet she performed for the whole show!"

I guess I'm one of the culprits there Badger! I never knew about that. Thank you!

I'm surprised Lauren could even stand last night let alone hobble around the stage. They probably had it frozen or something. Her mother ought to be raising cain with TPTB and telling them her daughter's health comes first. I realize there are probably contractual obligations but there has to be a way for her perform without her being on her feet all the time. They need to get her a stool or a little scooter that she can buzz around on. That would be kind of neat. Good for her for trying, but it was obviously too much. They have to figure something else out for her.

Badger is very knowledgeable. I assume because she reads so much. It's amazing the things she knows! The only thing she doesn't know is what a great guy Adam really is!

It's not a spelling mistake, it's a case of using the wrong word. "Trooper" is a military/police word.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Adam. :-)

Oh goodness. I guess they're going to have to figure out something else for Lauren. If she was in that much pain last night afterwards that's just not good. They need to be more careful with her.

I'm so sad that I won't get to see them live this time around as I dragged my feet and tickets to the Raleigh show sold out quickly!! Anyway, I'm still going to keep trying to get tickets right up until the last minute just in case they decide to release any! I could get lucky, who knows!
