| Peggy's character was really a standout in that show this past Sunday. When Freddy said "good-bye" to Dan in the cab, I thought that might be the last we see of him.
And how about Dan's secretary, Margaret? She's quite the adventurous lady, isn't she?

| Yes on both accounts! LOVE Peggy! Love Elizabeth Moss!
Dan's secretary is really something! I hope this won't be the last we see of Talia Balsam though. I was very fond of her when I was young and was so happy to see her again. She was married to George Clooney you know!

| Which one was Talia Balsam? Oh man I felt Bad for Freddy. Don DID try to stand up for him. She he will sometimes do things that are decent and then is a blow hard again. Man , Peggy let that slime ball Pete Have it. I am thrilled for Peggy. Ok back up did I miss something between Maragret and Roger? Did they show them having a relationship? Heh Don kicked her ass out though. And Betty in that housecoat. She is always picture perfect so that was unlike her. | |

| Talia Balsam plays Mona Sterling. The wife who came in at the end talking about her husband wanting a divorce because he is now in love with his secretary. | |

| Yes! I remember reading that now. I had forgotten. You know, I never liked John Slattery before. I guess it was that I never liked the parts he played (at least not the ones I saw) I hated his character on DH. But I really love him on MM! I have a great new appreciation for his talent AND his looks. This show and the part of Roger really suits him! | |

| I love his grey hair. I don't think I've seen him in anything. Did you know he and Maragret had a thing? I didn't. OHH Didn't you love that purple blue dress Joan had on? | |

| I also love the gray hair! But I like gray hair on men - salt and pepper is my fave! I think Joan always looks amazing! I love her FULL figure! See people, we all do not have to be skinny to be hot!! I think Bets rocked the housecoat! There should be a law against being able to look that good when you are suppose to be looking bad! I didn't know about the affair with Margaret either | |

| Actually, Don's secretary is named Jane. Margaret is Mona and Roger's engaged or newlywed (not sure if she's gotten married yet) daughter. | |

| I really like Elizabeth Moss's character Peggy and I think the direction the writers seem to be taking her is on a road that a lot of women can relate to. She is smarter and more capable than the men she works with, but it's an uphill battle.
There are so many stories in this one show. I love it!

| SO what did you guys think about last night's episode?? It had some really interesting and sad moments. Not one of my fave episodes, but I think it was leading up to some great stuff in the future. | |

You know, I'm glad someone else said this, because I thought it was just me. There were some very uncomfortable moments in that show Sunday night, too, especially the scenes with the little boy who ran away. They showed a clip of Betty talking with the boy's mom in the supermarket - was that from season 1 as I don't recall it?

| That whole bit with the boy that ran away was - well, kinda creepy :pale: I think that scene was from season one as I also do not remember it. Of course that could just be the perimenopause I was also bothered by the whole "adoption attitude". But I suppose there are plenty of people with that attitude. | |

| I remember hearing that adoption attitude right inside my own family. A grandmother was like that (don't adopt, it isn't your own) and as a result, I know of a family member who did not pursue adoption because of it. Hopefully that has gone by the wayside. | |

| We have had close friends adopt. A few couples we know actually. It's been amazing for them! Close friends of ours tried to adopt a little Russian girl. But there was too much traveling back and forth for approval and they couldn't afford to continue the effort. We were all so sad. But Rob's cousin was able to adopt a little girl from there (or one of those countries near by) and she is a brilliant talented awesome young lady! They were unable to have a child of their own - and let me tell you, you could not find two more proud and loving parents! | |

| Man what a witch Pete's mother is. NO wonder he is like he is. I can not believe people would actually say stuff like that. I wonder what he will do when he finds out about his on son. Peggy is on the ball , she is better and smarter than ANY of those men. That storyline with that little boy was last season. That kid is the writer/ creator of the show's son. Don thought he was going to get to come back home. Betty is in charge of that situation now. I felt very bad for her because of her Dad's sickness. I bet he really has Alzheimers. | |

| Yes, it was a very odd night, FC. I guess that group Don met up with are supposed to be swingers? His old identity is coming out. What a finish this season might have.
Peg's hair - nifty!
How about that guy Duck? he's a mover and shaker.

| You know when they first introduced Smith and Smitty on the show, I knew at least one of them had to be gay. That whole thing with the faux rich beautiful people was so surreal. It's almost like it was Don's fantasy about what it would be like to have no cares or responsibilities and just be able to do what you want. Oh, and the fact that you get to do it with beautiful people certainly is a bonus. Then he sees that damaged plastic cup and I think he realized that maybe the whole thing wasn't quite what it seemed. And maybe he realized that his whole existence as "Don Draper" isn't quite what it seems either. So maybe now he's going to see if he can be "Dick Whitman" again. It's amazing to me how much Jon Hamm actually looks like he belongs to that early 1960's era. Not just the clothes or the haircut but really just his whole being and aura. You could almost drop him into any movie or TV show of that time and he would not seem out of place. | |

| Oh Badger I was thinking the exact same thing!! He really truly seems to have just been picked up from the 50s and dropped into the 2000s!! I bet that is how he got the part! They must have felt like lightening struck when Jon Hamm walked through their doors!
Yes, you just knew one (or I thought both really) was going to be gay.
Oh, and I think Elizabeth Moss comes across like right out of the 50s also.

| Peggy reminds me of Shelley Fabares from when she was on "The Donna Reed Show". But then again, didn't all the teenaged sitcom daughters back then have that same curly bangs/ponytail hairdo? Actually, when Smith and Smitty came on, I thought at first they were supposed to be a gay couple. | |

| I still hate Duck. I hope he fails miserably. I will never forgive him for what he did to that innocent dog. I can overlook a lot of faults but cruelty to animals is not one of them.
I felt so bad for Salvatore after he heard the remarks his co workers made. I just love him. I can see though why he can never come out.
I think Don may be contemplating being Dick Whitman . Of course I know he won't or the show will end. But I do think that is what he is thinking. I love Peggy's hair.
