| I find that JFK theory a little out there I never would have gotten that from the show. I bet if you go to ebay you could find that Barbie! That is exactly what I think. Sally thought her grandpa came back as her little baby brother. I am so glad that Jared Harris is coming back to Fringe!! Badger - if you find any good spoilers be sure and post them here!! Just be sure to use the spoiler box in case Aerwin doesn't want to see them! I myself love spoilers!! | |

| The other JFK imagery people are talking about is the blood on Joan's dress which is like the blood caked on Jackie Kennedy's pink Chanel suit.
I'll post spoilers if I can find any, FC.

| I guess it's because it's 1963 and everyone who's watching the show knows the assassination is coming. | |

| Yes, and I figured they would write it into the show somehow rather than hidden symbols. But I guess maybe they would do that. Flew right over my head though if that was what they were going for | |

| I watched it in real time last night! I was so anxious to see who was lying on the floor. Bit of a let down really. It was good - but not all that exciting like last week What do you think will happen with Peggy and Duck?? Don and Hilton?? What is up with Bets and that antique seat?? Is she a little off since the baby? I just KNOW Don and Sally's teacher are so going to hook-up!! | |

| Yeah, Don won't change. Betty does seem a bit off. That antique seat represents escape to a simpler time. Peggy may go to work for Duck. I think he was trying to seal the deal.
I'm not sure what to make of Connie, though.

| I can't decide whether Duck is really attracted to Peggy or whether he's just trying to get her to change her mind about joining Gray. And what's going to happen if and when Pete finds out?
I think this is like the first episode where Don didn't come off as the golden boy. He got rolled by a couple of kids in a situation that anyone could have seen coming. It was very similar to the "Joy" episode only with a much less satisfying ending for him. And then he was forced into signing the contract which means his main leverage at Sterling Cooper is now gone. It looks like Bert Cooper might be a lot sharper than people gave him credit for.
I don't know if Don is going to have a fling/affair with Sally's teacher. It seems he has a strange attraction to people and situations that aren't conventional:beatnik girl in Season 1, the jet set idle rich in Season 2, picking up the hitchhikers this episode. At the same time, he likes what he has and doesn't want to upset that.
I think Connie represents what Don wants to be. He's a man who came from nothing and is now immensely rich, successful and powerful. I think he sees the Dick Whitman in Don - the poor kid who wanted something more - because that's who he was and that's why he gives him the kind of advice he does. He's telling him, "If you want what I have, you need to do thus and so." It's very similar to how Bobbie Barrett and Joan gave advice to Peggy on how she could get ahead.

| What is the deal with Don and Roger? When he signed that contract he said he wanted nothing to do with Roger. Is it all because he married that secretary. I hardly think he has room to judge.
The thing that made me cringe was Peggy going to bed with that dog abuser Duck. Yuck . Puke. I saw that comimg and did not even want to see it. I hate him. Don was beyond cruel to her. She is too good for that company. Yeah Don was showing the many chinks in his armor this episode. I think basically he does not know who he is. He is attracted to beatnik lifestyle but can't give it all up.I don't think he is going to sleep with the teacher. Boy she assumed a lot didn't she? she automatically thought don wanted her. That put me off her. I do however think Betty will sleep with that guy. I loved that fainting couch. I think JJ is a very very good actress. I always feel for her. She is a terrible Mother. But in many ways she is clueless. I think she sort of regrets not pursuing her career.

| If I remember, Roger made a pass at Betty back in Season 1, so Don probably wasn't too happy when Roger called and told Betty about the contract either. FTR, I think Don sees Jane as a cheap common gold digger who was only looking to bag a rich husband. She also wasn't very discreet and Don values discretion.
Yeah, I wonder what happened to Chauncey. Hopefully, a nice family found him and gave him a good home.

| Did anyone beside me think that Betty looked quite a bit like Marilyn Monroe in that last episode--the hair, in particular. | |

| Last night's episode was a bit dull for me. It was nice seeing Bets and Don have some great romance together though!
I was shocked to see Joan working at the store - but she looked great with her hair down like that! Just never thought of her as being in retail.
Do you think Pete is going to be accused of raping the au pair? He was rather creepy last night I think.
Anyway, I missed all the office stuff!!

| Probably not. I think the au pair's boss was kind of giving Pete a warning though. It did seem like he was more upset about her not being able to do her job than concerned about her wellbeing though. That could all change if she ends up pregnant like Peggy.
Speaking of pregnant, didn't it sound as if Trudi doesn't care about having a baby anymore?
And who knew Betty spoke fluent Italian? Last episode we found out she has an Anthropology degree.

| Yes, I was also surprised about her speaking perfect Italian and that she had a degree of any kind! Interesting.... I got that impression from Trudi also and it seemed strange. I thought she was pretty anxious to have a baby. I was also wondering if the au pair was going to end up pregnant. | |

| Betty was quite the regal woman of the world in Rome--and the dull curmudgeon at home. We have here a bored housewife, and who knows what mischief she will get into out of boredom. The guy from the governor's office? Well, we shall see what we shall see .... | |

| Oh I so agree about the board housewife. I think Bets and the guy from the gov's office are very much going to happen sometime this season. | |
