AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 14

I hate flying. It is just too difficult these days. Airports are gigantic, lines are unending. Then the airplanes are uncomfortable and the airline employees rude or rushed. Now the pilots are going nuts and killing the passengers. I worked as a flight attendant way back, and it was fun and relaxing. But these days it is torture. It doesn't seem we should have to pay to be tortured. The European airlines and airports have always been more sensible and efficient.

Ha!  Look at this!  Hope they're able to pull it off.  Wouldn't it be a hoot if these guys could do a tour and Idol itself doesn't do one?  Good for Riley, Trevor, Savion and Michael!!

All bias aside I just watched all the live episodes again because Ryan wanted to watch them. Knowing what happened, I wasn't nervous and paid attention to subtle things.

This week was the first week that Ryan actually said this is your bottom 3.

Scott has said things that I did not pick up before.

He wants an edgy American Idol. He think the one who wins will that they will not be the best singer.

Watching him watch and interact with the Idols, to me it seemed like he really likes Quentin and Jax.

He said Quentin is mesmerizing. That Jax's is totally unique.


He is always smiling watching them perform. Grinning like a proud papa.

He actually defended Jax's when the judges ripped her after her so so performance.

I hope I am right, that Scott signs them regardless of their actual finish.

Boy George thinks Jax's Clark, Quentin and Quassim are front runners.

HA!!  I WISH Qaasim was a frontrunner!!   But not from polls and not from almost going home at 11th place... 

Clarke is - but not in my book. 

I am all for Jax and Quentin though!!!

I think Clark is a sure bet for the finale.

My next guess would be Jax's

I would like Quentin to make it to the finale but I do not think he will. I would be happy, ecstatic if he reaches #4 like Chris and Jason.

For me a super cool, hip, now finale would be Jax vs Quentin. That would be something IMO. Very unique and different for Idol but I highly doubt either Q will make top 5 let alone the finale.

Nick could still pull a dark horse flying under the radar like Kris Allen did.

I think it is something just to be recognized by Boy George.

So Kudo's to those who he thinks should be in the front runners.

I would be happy with Quentin and Jax or Quentin and Joey.  Both would be unique finals!

Clarke being in the finals is just so typical and boring and he will not sell big.  He is NOT Phillip! He is not unique, interesting, artistic or exciting.  He is safe.  A safe choice.

That is what is interesting about this season FC.

They have some very different types of singers and performers.

If people vote as usual just for voice the top three will be Clark, Tyanna and Nick in some order.

If they want something edgier they will vote Quentin, Jax, Joey.

It will become interesting now to see who is voted out and who picks up whose votes.

Weird Choices.

They are all Kelly Clarkson songs. It's Kelly week on Idol. So they're singing from her songbook as she mentors them. She's also going to perform on the show as well.

Yeah, I know Teddy. Looking forward to seeing and hearing Kelly. But the songs picked seem wrong for who picked them unless they switch it up.

I think Quentin made a good choice. Nick too.

Daniel will be a trainwreck. There's no ifs ands or buts about that one.

Rayvon, at least he's doing a fast song? I don't know. He might be a trainwreck too.

Clark should be good though I wish he had picked something different.

Jax, it could work for her if she plays it right. I'm just glad she didn't go for one of Kelly's more upbeat songs.

Tyanna, I think will do well.

Qassim, I'm half in half out with. I do see him going full on showman with it

Joey, I'm also on the fence with but who knows? She might surprise us.

I think this should be fun!  Love Kelly and her songs!

Rayvon is the weirdest one for me.  Can't picture it.

And of course Daniel picked the one song from a Disney movie

I think Quentin and Jax picked wisely.

Quentin will be slammed by Harry for doing another mid-temp song.

The rest I have no idea what they were thinking.

Clark and Tyanna should be fine.

Well,  Quentin needs to show some versatility.  Think of all the versatility Adam brought.  Qaasim had to switch it up too and did.  Even though I personally miss the dancing.  As a performer in concert he cannot have an entire concert of slow dramatic songs.  I would love to see Quentin get a little funky.

IMO Rasta Blaster and Rolling in the Deep were upbeat and funky.

Has Clark done anything upbeat? No has he been slammed no.

No he doesn't, which is why I find him boring.  I think Harry mentioned it to him once.  But he plays instruments and perhaps they feel that shows some versatility.  They seem rather fond of Clarke. 

But they clearly like Quentin too.  They picked him for the wildcard and they do praise him.  I think they feel he can bring more.  I think they want him to stick around and maybe feel American won't vote for him if he doesn't switch it up.  If they see the polls they know Clarke is in this thing to the end.

I'm curious how their versions will compare to Kelly's.  She has such an awesome voice it could be difficult to compare.  I'll be Youtubing it this week since the Kings play tomorrow night.

I love my crooners so Clark's performance style suits me just fine.

I think Jax will do really well.  I think that is a perfect choice for her!

FC, IMO Quentin could have a perfect vocal, stand on his and spin and he wouldn't get America's vote.
They find him weird, scary, stalkerish etc. They called him Yeti.

He would have to change who he is and that is not what he should do.

If he changed his style of dress and intensity took out nose ring etc, but it is to late for that.
Only if he is the last black male standing and gets their votes will he last deep.

Like with Chris Daughtry many are likening his intensity to scary.

Well Nick should hit it out the park. I feel he is going to pull a Kris Allen and win hearts and votes.
He is a WGWG.

Voters love that.

Finale could very well be Clark vs Nick.

Oh I so hope not!!!!
