GOLDEN GLOBES SHOW DISCUSSION/PARTY THREAD!

I know Johnny has won a couple of times in the past, but it still sucks when he's nominated so much because is one of the BEST out there and yet he doesn't win. They do the same thing to Leo too especially when it comes to the Oscars. They ALWAYS snub him. Just ticks me off!

Johnny has only won one Golden Globe - 2008 for Sweeny Todd. He has been nominated 9 times.

Haven't seen any of it! I just have one question of great importance. Was Sandra there with Ryan Reynolds? They're on the cover of both People and US this week. Apprarently they're on item now.

Sandra is denying they are an item. I never saw Ryan tonight.

It ended exactly on time! Shocking! SO glad it did though. Wish The Oscars wouldn't go on longer than life!

Has anyone seen Social Network? It's won a lot of awards. That Andrew Garfield is a cutie!!

Thanks for the clarification about Johnny. I knew he had one previously I just couldn't remember what for and if it was once or twice. It makes me incredibly sad for him.

Only one win out of 10 nominations and he wasn't there in person to get it because he was out of the country filming. So upsetting...

Yes I remember him not being there.

I have to wonder if they snub him so to speak because he doesn't live in the US and doesn't partake of the Hollywood scene. It's the same for Leo is it not? They are two of the greatest actors of this time who have not been recognized as they should be.

I'm not exactly sure where Leo calls home. I always thought it was somewhere here in Cali but perhaps not. There are quite a few other actors though who have been recognized and they don't live here or are even from here. If that is part of the reason then it's a completely ridiculous one.

I've seen "The Social Network". It was a good movie but neither hubby or I think it was great enough to win...........

I have not seen Social Network and I have no desire to either. That might not give me the right to say so but I think many other movies were more deserving of the Golden Globe.

I haven't seen the other movies, but judging by what they showed.............I think other movies were more deserving.

I would have loved it had The Fighter or even Black Swan had won.

I feel so bad for Matthew Now it is not beating Alec Baldwin anymore it is that guy from the Big Bang theory Jim Parsons. Matthew is so talented I just want him to get one thing he is nominated for whether it be a Tony or a golden globe or whatever. I pray his time will come

I have read nothing but a ton of praise for Social Network and that it would be a big winner at award season time. Seems pretty popular with the movie going public too. I think I will rent it. Black Swan doesn't look my cuppa, but I like Natalie a lot. The Fighter looks really good though and so does The King's Speech.

I am pretty sure Leo is Calif. Maybe Johnny's not hanging with the Hollywood crowd does effect him come voting time. I do believe he will win an Oscar one day! He has to. He is the actor of our generation if you ask me.

Lots of talk about Ricky Gervais today. Who here liked him? I didn't. Not just mean spirited but for me simply not funny. RDJ was waaaaaaaaay funnier in just his short bit that Gervais was for me all night. Travolta just lost a son he adored. Can't people leave him alone? The jabs at RDJ truly bugged me. He has been clean for years and beautifully turned his life around from serious addiction. Ugly humor and hit way too close to home for me. I find him hugely overrated.

I love Ricky Gervais but his humor is definitely not for all tastes.

I didn't watch the show but I will probably catch the rerun tomorrow on BRAVO. I'm pet sitting again then too.

From what I am reading he wasn't to a lot of people's taste last night. Even many of his fans thought he just was not funny.

I am reading an article right now and I won't bring it here until I know it is legit - but it states that the bigwigs for the Hollywood Foreign Press have already told him he will not be invited back. Lots of talk about he was gone from the show the entire second hour and when he finally did return he was much more subdued. I know I wouldn't mind if he didn't host it again.

I didn't watch last night I was busy watching the Australian Open but I saw some this morning and wasn't pretty, he was obnoxious and mean spirited anything for a cheap joke.

I don't like him or his humor besides he isn't very attractive and has some ugly teeth.
