| They can be very fun FC and just like described in the blurb Sky brought over they can be extremely extravagant. It's quite a thing to see. Also very beautiful! More so than you could imagine. | |

| LOL, FC! You do have to kind of commit to watching the DVDs since they're all at least 5 hours long. | |

| Hello everyone- Stanley is about the same. This is the third day that he has spent at the animal hospital being monitored for blood glucose levels. He comes home at 8 PM and goes back at 8 AM. I get written orders regarding what time and what to feed him. He does not cooperate, though regarding this or anything. He is a very difficult dog. I am just hoping that the doctor can come up with the right dose of insulin that will keep him level. I am very very nervous about the whole situation. But there is nothing I can do. | |

| Continued prayers for Stanley I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. When our kittens were in the hospital being spayed - I was a wreck! I hated that they were not home with us and I worried about what they were thinking and if they were scared. I would guess that is all going through your mind also. | |

| FC- Yes, I do worry what Stanley is "thinking" if he does do it on that level. Especially since he has been in so many different homes. Plus, the change in time schedule has been difficult for us as my husband is retired. Now the vet say we can gradually get his time to fit our schedule, but very gradually. I am wondering how I will go to see Adam. I am just nervous. Plus, something is happening to my computer today where it keeps going offline so a tech is coming tomorrow. Now I just found out that the vet wants to see us tomorrow the same time as the tech is scheduled. It is just a very nervous time for us. Plus I wonder if the diabetes itself has hurt Stanley in any way. You can tell by the way I am talking that I am like in a panic. | |

| AIH I know what it is like to be in a panic. In the last few years I've had to deal with a lot of stuff. Just hang in there - it will all come together and work out! | |

| Today Stanley came home at 4 PM after being instructed again by the vet and the vet tech. I was embarrassed and nervous as I had been giving the insulin wrong, it seems. Now we are on a 9 am 9 pm schedule and it must be given at that time. I wish I was not so stressed, but this whole thing came as a big shock to me and my husband. We are now more or less bound by Stanley's schedule. I have started to think about selling my Adam tickets as I don't know how I can leave my house by 6:30 PM and be home by 9 PM. If any body knows when the show ends, please let me know. | |

| No need to apologize..............if your son is always late, tell him an earlier time to come, then hopefully he will be there on time! I do that to hubby all the time, but in reverse. He is ALWAYS early, so if we're invited somewhere, I tell him the time we have to be there, but tell him a half hour's difference so that we arrive on time. Maybe Stanley could stay at the Vet's that night? | |

| Sky- Thanks for the recommendation. The vet closes at 8 and he has to have the shot at 9. I wonder what others do | |

| Sky - I used to have to do that with my parents! They would ALWAYS come about a 1/2 hour early! I'd be rushing around trying to get things ready for a party or doing my hair and sure enough - 30 mins. before I told them to come the doorbell would ring! So if I wanted them to come at 3:30 - I would tell them 4:00. Worked like a charm! AIH - you never have to apologize for venting here Hope you can make it all work out | |

| Does your Vet board animals as well? Someone must be there at night for when they have patients to watch. I would just hate for you to miss Adam. | |

| FC and Sky- Yes, the vet does board animals but nobody is there overnight. The animals stay by themselves!!!!!!!!!!! But someone does come in every couple of hours. Maybe that would work out. FC- I felt bad about complaining because so many people have worse troubles than my getting used to caring for a diabetic dog. | |

| But...........a dog is a member of your family and he's just as important as any other family member.
Having Stanley spend the night, of course it will cost you, at the Vet's just might be your answer. Or find someone willing to come over to your house and administer the shot to Stanley....... | |

| Sky- I would have to teach my son how to administer the shot, which takes some doing. I know he is a member of the family, but some people may not look at it that way. The cost is really not an issue. It has cost me a load of money so far to have Stanley diagnosed and treated. | |

| Then I would inquire to see if he could stay at the Vet's that night. Plead with them if you must. I know if Stanley was there, you would not worry about him. | |

| That sounds like a really good idea Sky. AIH, I think you would have more piece of mind if Stanley was at the vet's that evening.

| Then I am wondering why she didn't suggest it when I told her about my dilemna. She started talking about pet sitters in my area and my son, who had volunteered to do it. | |
