| So, hubby was out on our deck putting together a new deck table when a truck pulls up and parks on the side of our house/fence and the driver then proceeds to pull out his 'kit' (needle, syringe, whatever) and shoots up! He can't see hubby watching him and taking a vid and calling the police. Of course the police didn't get here before he left, but they did catch him down the street!!!!! My hubby the block watch hero! Our neighborhood is not a bad neighborhood, but it's quiet........... | |

| Oh goodness. I feel sorry for the guy. Probably an addict. I hope he gets help. I know your hubby did the right thing - but you know I am going to feel for the guy. It's a very difficult way of life.... Sadly, this sort of thing goes on all the time and all places. There is no neighborhood safe from drugs.. Our town is 99.9% white and very upscale and there isn't a drug my kids couldn't get their hands on if they wanted them. | |

Yeah for your hubby! So many people would just look the other way and not get involved.

| I know, FC. Maybe he can get some help now. I know drugs are everywhere and it's so sad they are so readily available. My hubby is always 'watching'........ We do have a block watch program, so I guess it's working, huh? | |

| Had a bad day. Hubby Louis went away for the day so I was in charge of Stanley. He refused to eat and I have a 15 minute window where he has to get the insulin. I took out everything I have in the refrigerator, the kitchen was a mess and I was about to cry. Finally he ate something and I gave him the shot. He has to eat BEFORE the shot. Anyhow, when my husband came home I was in a terrible state, screaming and crying. What is the solution? He is the most frustrating dog ever. | |

| Oh no... Poor Stanley ...poor AIH So hard to get an animal to eat when they just do not want to. Does he have any favorite treats? Would treats be OK to eat before the shot? Continued prayers going out your way.... | |

| AIH, I am so sorry and I wish I had a solution you wanted to hear. If I was in your situation, I'd be reacting the same way. You must come to some point or your health will suffer because of the stress. | |

| He likes one thing on day and the next, it is no good. I have bought so many things that he once liked, but no more does he eat them. I am so frustrated. Last night he ate 2 10 ounce Cesar breakfasts that he never ate, but I am sure that if I gave them to him today, he would no longer want it. | |

| Hi AIH, so sorry you are having such a hard time with Stanley.
By choice I don't have any pets so I can't be of any help to you with any advise.

| They say not to switch foods on your pets, but I think I'd get bored eating the same thing everyday, so who knows. I'm sorry you have to go through all of this. | |

| I try new treats with Alice and Lexi all the time! Like every week we get new treats for them. Most are a big hit. Alice LOVES Dingo Anchovies!! Lexi prefers the moist Pounce treats. They always sniff through all the bags when I get home from the store. I just know they are thinking "What treats did mommy buy for us today?!" | |

| Tonight he ate about 2 ounces of the best steak ever. It was a boneless sirloin. I cut it in half and fed it to him. But when I gave him more steak, he acted like it was poison. I got someone to watch him when we have tickets for Adam: his regular sitter, a lady whose husband runs the dog training place where Stanley went. She is a pharmacist and she says she has given many shots. I think I mentioned this all before. I am really going crazy!!!!!! | |

| Lucky dog getting steak! We had ribs tonight - I would have liked steak better myself - but the boys love ribs. That is awesome that you have a wonderful sitter for the night of the concert! I am so happy about that! | |

| FC- Yea, I lucked out on that one. I also got tickets to Tony Orlando at the same Staten Island venue. My husband really likes him. I, not so much. But the best thing is that I also got second row for this show, just like for Adam's show. Now I have to get someone to watch Stanley and this is on Sunday night. | |
