| So who watched and what did you all think of it??!
The beginning confused me a little  I guess that was his birth/mother's story?

| I watched it. Yes, that was supposed to be about Don's birth.
I guess we finally have confirmation about Sal's sexual orientation. Not that it wasn't perfectly obvious before.
You know the airport they mentioned (Friendship) was only about a mile from my grade school and many a time we had to wait until an airplane had flown by before we could continue a conversation in school or before a teacher could continue a lesson. And the restaurant they went to in Baltimore really does exist.
I really want to know what's going on with the whole Pete and Peggy situation. He was so funny doing that dorky little dance when he found out he was being made Head of Accounts.
I loved the scenes between Joan and Mr. Hooker. She didn't allow him to pull rank on her especially since in a way they both have very similar positions.

| Yes, I laughed out loud at Pete's happy dance!! Joan is my hero on the show!! I am dying to see what happens with Peggy and Pete. Somehow I missed Don and his wife getting back together | |

| Based on the reports here, I watched the show for the first time last night. I rather liked it, even if I didn't completely understand all the dynamics. I guess they will become clearer as the season progresses. | |

| Oh yes - you will like it NN! You should see if there is a way to catch-up on the previous seasons! Maybe watch on-line or something! FWIW - I find the show gets better as the season goes on. Last season the first episode was rather boring but the season just got soooooo good!!! | |

| I agree that if it's at all possible, you should try to see the first 2 seasons. It'll be easier to keep up with the characters that way. | |

| LOVE JOAN! She really put that blowhard in his place. Hey FC Remember that guy Jared Harris was on FRINGE last year as Mr. Jones. He is Richard Harris's son. He makes a great villian.
Man that scene with Sal. No way is don going to say anything because on down the line he will get something on Don and not be able to tell.
I think Pete is my favorite. He just fascinates me. My fav line last night "Why can't everything good happen all at once" YES, WHY !

| Oh - I knew that guy was Mr. Jones from Fringe - but I did NOT know he was Richard Harris's son!!! COOL! He makes an awesome villain! I don't think he could play a leading man - he really is scary I get a huge kick out of the way the actor portrays Pete. I keep thinking to myself - that cannot really be the same guy who was Angel's son!! | |

| I just love Vincent Kartheiser. He is great as Pete. I hope he and Peggy have more scenes together as the season goes on. | |

| The Project Rungay guys did a blog about Sunday's show and they said what happened with Sal was pretty much how it was for gay men of his era - furtive sex with strangers that might or might not end satisfactorily. And yes, there is a double meaning there! Anyway, they seem to think that now that the genie is out of the bottle, Sal will be exploring his sexuality more and going to some "interesting" Greenwich Village bars.
FWIW, I don't think Don would ever say anything about Sal. He was just telling him to be discreet because remember back then gay sex was a crime.
Pete is such a smarmy little boy but he means well. But I wonder if Duck is going to be back this year. He wasn't in the series premiere.

| SPOILER POST! Screencaps From Leaked Mad Men epHere's a link to the original post that talked about an accidental leak on the iTunes store - basically, this ep entitled "My Old Kentucky Home" (screencaps below!) isn't slated to air until two weeks from now. And because some of you need it spelled out: this post is image-heavy. The dapper Don Draper invites you in: The new Mrs. Sterling (as referred to by the ladies) and his former flame have a very delicious exchange at the Sterling Cooper office. The confrontation is nothing short of genius. Of course the heavy blows are thrown in couched and controlled dialogue, but their disdain for each other is more than palpable. Despite the fact that most of Sterling Cooper is attending the garden party, Smitty, Paul Kinsey, and Peggy Olson find themselves working the weekend away on a Bacardi campaign, but with a little inspiration and assistance from an enlightening substance. The couple celebrate Derby Day in style, with recognizable guests including Mr. Cooper, Don and Betty Draper, and Harry and Jennifer Crane. The real belles of the ball, however, are the Campbells, with Pete and Trudy performing a show-stopping number on the dance floor. | |

| I don't think Peggy was looking for love. I think she was looking for a "good time". | |

| I don't think this was the best episode. Why would Betty's brother listen to what Don says? But Man have they opened a can of worms now letting her Dad move in. The brother was right. I was just still disappointed in this episode. | |

| HA! Doesn't it figure that I would be the gay guy since I seem to love gay guys No - that was the only one I did so far. Justin and I have been baby proofing the daycare room since the big kids have gone back to school I am moving the baby stuff downstairs. I was on a little break and did that one. I will do more a little later. Clearly I will choose Betty! | |
