AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 14

It is sad for sure.  I adored the show for years.  It's been fun for us to discuss here.  I cannot imagine it being gone.  What will become of Idol boards etc.....  A couple of us here watch The Voice and we will still have that. 

But this year lost a lot with the changes.  With next season being even more scaled back - I just can't imagine.   So sadly, it just is time. 

I sure hope they make it a point to have all the previous winners and runner-ups, judges, and others from the 15 seasons on the show.  It would be so awesome to see them all together.

It's time. The show has run its course, as all shows eventually do. Fifteen years is a long run. They tried a lot of things, but it's just time to be over.

Yep.  And I just read confirmation from Scott that the contestant in 3rd place (probably Jax) will be eliminated at the start tomorrow and not get to perform at all.  THAT SUCKS!!  She is rehearsing her butt off on 3 songs and will not even get to do a thing!  So if this is how they are running the show - or even worse next year.  Goodbye indeed!  Horrible thing to do to any of those kids!  At least Rayvon got to perform all his songs last week before getting cut.  All the kids did.  They could at least let the 3rd place finisher do one song before getting the boot!  Asshats!

Let's wait and see what happens.

Well, Scott should know.  He said all the songs would be on iTunes but only the top 2 would battle it out performing.  I hope he is wrong, but I would think he would know exactly what is going on.

I am shocked he is worth more than Daughtry!!  I am surprised Clay is only worth 6 million.   I guess the lack of work the last several years has eaten up money.

If Adam's new album takes off he could make even more!!  And he has more Queen gigs!!

Back to AI...........I've always wanted them to do an All Star season......like have all the runners up and any controversial early exits (ie. Daughtry, James ..........)  I know it probably wouldn't work because some couldn't/wouldn't come back (like Adam probably being on tour next year).  I definitely would like to see them go back to the old format (like Season 8) and NO SAVES.  Once you're gone, you're gone.

I am not surprised by the numbers except for Cook as he isn't signed isn't performing.

This is about net worth. Taylor made several million last year in Vegas. He was 5th on the list of Idol income last year.

Where is Jax and Clark?

I found them at IDF. Love Jax's song! Very current. Not like a coronation song. Clark's is the most coronation like.  It is a lot like No Boundaries.  Between the title and the lyrics it would work best for that sporting event the winner's song will be used for.

Jax sounded very Gaga like.

BING now has Jax safe and Nick in danger. Lord I would be thrilled if they are right.  I want her to be in the finals so bad....

I liked Nick's and Jax's songs. Didn't much like Clark's. As FC said for much sounds like earlier coronation songs.
