Hey, I don't blame you for saving the super secret family recipes for Christmas or the appropriate holiday or gathering. That spread you did at your daughter's looked very labor intensive and beautiful!
Making the turkey and all the fixings is enough work on it's own. What desserts will you be making on Thanksgiving?

I generally do the Greek feast for Greek Easter and once in a while just because of a special gathering. I may make the Spanikopita as it's my favorite or the Tyropita (cheese triangles) and Meat rolls as both my sons love those!
Oh, we'll have pumpkin pie for dessert!!! My son loves pumpkin pie!

I can finally post something in here. I was on facebook today and was just checking to see if people had approved my friend request and while doing that I notice out of the blue someone that I have been wanting to talk to for over 15 years came onto chat. The person it was is the one guy in my life,(other than guys in my family or close friends), that I have not been able to forget about. I have dated a few guys but they pretty much have gone from my memories, but one is always there and when the holidays role around he is there in my memories more cause that is when I met him,(met him a week before Christmas in 1992. He is just the one special guy who stays in my heart). Well today he came onto chat and we got to talk a little; it was very nice and and made me very happy. What made me very happy was he gave me his home address so i could send a Christmas card to him when I send them out. I didn't think he would give it to me but he did. I am so psyched For the coming year I am bound and determined to reconnect with my Friends from High school and from other things. One of the people I want to reconnect with is Tony,(the special guy). I know we could never be in a relationship again but if me and him could get to a friendship area then I am all for it. Tony had always been someone I trusted and could talk to about things. Even when things were not so good he could read me. It was Tony who helped me make the decision to move to where I live now and go back to school to get my teaching degree. He just said things to me that made total sense :) He is such an awesome guy and I would give anything to have him back in my life somehow.
Sorry if this is a crazy post but It made me happier than I have been in a long time just getting to talk to him for just the few minutes we had to chat. I couldn't stop smiling like for an hour,(he has that way of making me smile)
Teddy by the way has seen a pic of him :)

Love the decorating your family did for your BD Sky! Very clever idea! Your grandkids are precious too! I seriously need that witch siggy though....
Angelwings: How nice he contacted you out of the blue! It is funny how Facebook allows people a safe way to make contact with people from the past that otherwise would'nt call.

What an intelligent, well thought out & thought provoking speech! How right is she that as a child she doesn't have the answers, but us "adults" don't have the answers either....but still manage to break everything!!! I hope this young girl remains as principled & world aware as she grows older.
Thanks for posting that Sky :D
