SAY HELLO!!

I love lamb but the price has gone through the roof. Every store here has sales of turkey at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas that make it cheaper then ham or lamb so it is the new thing for holiday meals if you have to feed a crowd and don't want to break the bank (unless you want fresh but that is still cheaper or the same as ham. The size I bought it like a big chicken so will be able to get a few left overs.

FC that looks like a lovely wedding. 100 is still a good crowd. I think we had 50 but a few people didn't show up so probably 40. It was outdoors in August and the day was perfect. I hate getting my photo taken too. I think part of it was that my dad was ALWAYS taking our pics when we were kids.

Easter is all done. Everything was perfect. Turkey nice and moist.
Girls loved their bags. The Easter Bunny left me Foster the People Tickets and a nice necklace.

Pooped but all warm and fuzzy. My Mom was well enough to come and she loved everything.

Terry loved the dark chocolate, photo mug of Abascos and Christmas Ornament.

We gave Matt Titlist Pro Golf Balls decorated with Easter Colored Paper and dark chocolate.

Stanley is doing okay for a dog his age. He is between 13 and 14, possibly more. We don't know exactly since we adopted him. He has many health issues. Collapsing trachea, diabetes, blindness. But he manages each day. He has alot of spunk. I hope Cupcake gets better soon.

He sure does have spunk AIH!!

Dinner was great! Nice time with family.

Glad you had a wonderful day Hathor.  We stopped with Easter Gifts when the boys got out of HS.  We just get them goodies like Cadbury Eggs etc. 

Eric helped so much with the housework today and he and Justin did the rest of the grocery shopping for me after dinner.  Such a help!  Justin bought some fruit I never had before -



They are great!  You yank off that nipple and they peel real easily.  The come apart like Cuties.  Really juicy. 

Well, back to work early tomorrow morning.  It was such a nice 3 day weekend.....

Glad everyone had a good day.  I had a nice quiet day.  Got all the laundry done.  It was nice and peaceful at the Laundromat.  I was the only one there!  I guess Easter Sunday is a good day to do laundry.      I made my chicken pot pie for dinner and it was yummy as usual and will be good for lunch the next couple of days.

Yep, back to grind for me as well tomorrow.  

BTW Hathor, when do you get your new countertops?

Hathor that sounds like a nice Easter. I just bought everyone a chocolate bunny and a card.
Hadv a turkey with steamed veggies, Greek salad, garlic mashed potatoes. cranberry sauce and gravy. Bought a Swiss Roll and had t with ice cream.

DD still has tomorrow off but hubby and I are working. Then I am off until Sunday.
Going to make some stock with the turkey carcass on Tuesday. Then make some soup.

Easter was great here today. Both our brunch and dinner were fabulous and delicious! Dessert was the yummiest! We had angel food cake with cut sugar coated strawberries and whipped cream with a little glass of amaretto! It was wonderful!

canear, good that you got that laundry done and that it was easy to do being the only one there! I hope you and Hobo had a good dinner!

Hathor, congrats on The Foster The People tickets!! When is the show going to be? You'll have to tell me how they are in concert!

Kate, I'm glad and the family had a wonderful meal and day together.

AIH, Stanley definitely has a lot of spunk! No matter what gets thrown at him and he gets through and handles it like a real trooper!

FC, the wedding looks it was beautiful. The pictures are all great. The bride is lovely and the groom handsome. Way to go on having that bar right next to your table!

Cupcake was up and about quite a bit today. She was up walking around much of the day and hung out in the kitchen. It was good to see her feel up to being active especially considering last night was the roughest we've had since last weekend. Mom dropped little bits of cheese on the floor for her earlier on during the day when she was making the au gratin potatoes and Cupcake didn't let any of it go to waste! It did my heart some good to see her up. I think part of it too was that she knew today was a special day.

Thank you all for your well wishes for her and please keep them coming.

Eating is always a good sign Teddy. So glad that Cupcake was up and about.

I am out of here as I have all 5 kids from 7-7:30. I am tired from cooking and cleaning all weekend.
Now begins the unpacking.

Oh I forgot to mention Saturday I saw a Blue Herring. OMG what a beautiful bird.

Good morning ladies.....as if.  It is Monday!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!      Sucky weather too.  75 degrees but rainy all day they say.  Oh well, it was perfect Saturday and gorgeous yesterday  78 and sunny!  So I guess we have to be grateful.  Lots of rain in the coming week they say so April will be living up to it's reputation.

No Bryce today.  Ty, Jake, Cru and Maley and then all the after schoolers.  Bryce will return tomorrow.  A very busy Tuesday and Wednesday this week with all the kids coming.

Hathor, good luck with the unpacking!!  Sounds like a long day ahead for you

Hathor, sounds like you could use another vacation already!  Goodness, don't know how you do it!  I get tired just reading about it.  
 
Teddy, glad you enjoyed your Easter and that Cupcake is doing better.  She's a tough little cookie as well.  I bet she and Stanley would be good friends.

Yep FC, we need to be glad that it's finally warm.  I will not complain about the rain that is coming......I swear I won't!   

HA!  I bet we do if we can tons and on our days off!!!  Like I have 4 hours Thursday afternoon free - noon until 4:00. And for now they are predicted thunderstorms      I can rain today, tomorrow and Wednesday but please be nice Thursday afternoon

UGH!!  I just learned how to use the zoom on my smartphone camera!!  Now why didn't I figure this out before the wedding??!!
