Finally some sun out today but it was freezing last night. Was hugging my stuffies to stay warm after hubby left for work.

Work a few hours then just going to relax. Tomorrow is busy as doing our taxes. Oh yes that is something I need to do as well. Mine don't take long and I don't get much, if any back, so I usually procrastinate.

It all looks much nicer in person, especially the dress.  I first bought the dress in blue, but the more I thought about all my accessories the more I thought I would like to go with the black.  So I have the dress in both colors!  I will wear the blue for other occasions, but I just felt for the wedding the black looked better with all the silver and sparkles.  All my jewelry is very sparkly in real life.  My camera just doesn't capture it. 

Rob bought new dress pants and a new dress shirt and got a nice haircut yesterday.  So we will look descent

FC you can never go wrong with a little black dress as Coco Chanel said. So easy to accessorize it. The Blue one is nice too but for the wedding I think you made the right choice. I have like three black dresses and one red one. I usually go with the black.

Hi AIH............how was Passover?

Ok, Canear. Very quiet. What are you doing for Easter?

Not much.  My sister is in Florida with her daughter.  I will be seeing them in a couple of weeks for my nephew's fiancé's bridal shower.  I sometimes go to my bil's to see my nieces but the one is still in England and her dad (my bil) was over visiting her and just returning on the weekend.  I've got lots to do around here.

We decided to go to the tax's next week as hubby works early morning and then we are going out in the evening so he wants to get some sleep in tomorrow. So DD and I will do some egg colouring and watch some movies, maybe Gene Wilder as Willie Wonka as that seems like a Easter movie to us.

Well, it is finally here! Wedding day!!  And it is gorgeous out!!  Sunny, 68 and no wind at all!!  Perfect day for a wedding and outside pix etc.!  So looking forward to it!  We are leaving at 9:00 AM and will be back this evening.

Nice and sunny here today.  I will be heading out to do some shopping for the bridal shower and I need to get some groceries since the stores are closed tomorrow.  Then I'll be home to watch more hockey tonight!

Last night Briah and Matt took Terry and I to a local singer songwriter concert.

So good. Not sure if Kate and FC will like them as they were not performers but rather
just stood and sang but we all love them all.

One of Briah's good lifelong friends Erica and her brother Jay are the duo Gideon Brown.
They sang at Briah's wedding at the church. They are so good and their phrasing and harmonies
so exceptional.

Just finished decorating the eggs while watching Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
Got the turkey defrosting in the fridge. Going to make some cranberry sauce this afternoon.

I like singer songwriters if they have a voice that connects with me. Like James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Jesse Roper (local blues rock singer).

Back from shopping.  Picked up a couple of gifts for the shower but I need to get some more.  I also finally used my giftcards for Pennington's, the clothing store I like.  I need to get some new pants but there was nothing I wanted so I picked up a nice sleeveless fuscia blouse with a white lacey coverup for work and I'll probably wear it to the banquet next week or the shower or both!  I also picked up a casual white shirt and black sweatshirt hoodie on sale.  So I did pretty good.  I then went to the grocery store since nothing is open tomorrow.  I treated myself to crab legs since they were on sale.....so that will be my dinner tonight with some rice and Pillsbury crescent rolls.

Even big stores are closed Canear? I think all grocery chains are now open for last minute or non-Easter people.

Yes, everything is closed here except stores in tourist areas.  Variety stores probably are open for emergencies though!

Cheesecake baking for tomorrow. Lamb for tonight marinating in olive oil, mint, rosemary and curry powder.

Serving roasted red potatoes with asparagus and chocolate mousse for dessert.

Tomorrow turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash casserole. sweet potatoes, and cheesecake.

Oh and fruit stuffed french toast for breakfast.
