| Have an awesome time Hathor!!!!!!! Be safe!! Take lots of sun screen!! I agree with Canear that I could NEVER go off line or away from TV etc. for that long, but everyone is different. Hope you can find some Wi-Fi while there and let us know you got there safely and post some pix!! All I can say is I have never ever had an issue with Kohls and I have been shopping there for over 30 years! Love it! And never a problem with a payment and I have been paying a Kohls card with them for over 30 year also Canear - Target's IN STORE clothes are total crap, but their ON-LINE selection and pricing is awesome!! I have gotten some of the cutest tops and pjs and boots from their on-line clearance sales!! Even the selection for men is bad at our Target. I too have gotten super cute jeans at Walmart and sometimes cute tops. I have gotten nice pants and tops for the boys there. Rob is fine with their selection for his jeans and tees. | |

| Wow I have always had success with Target clothes but sad they don't carry Cherokee in ladies and men's. Loved the casual tops and jeans. Bought my winter coat at Target before Christmas and love it. It was just heavy enough for here and such a good deal. Have many Mossimo clothes from when Zeller's carried them. No Kohl's here. I forgot to check Sear's for the Vanderbilt jean's yesterday. That's what I for taking hubby AND DD with me lol. Sear's had a lot of cute Spring dresses from what I could see as we wooshed passed ladies wear. I usually get my tops at Suzanne's a store that is in every mall. I wait until the clearance racks get marked down a bit as they are pricey but everything is made in Canada. | |

| Everyone, I will look for a hotel that has Wi Fi by mid week. I am actually looking forward to reading and relaxing. They have TV and we are bringing our small DVD player and movies. I will be fine. The teens not so sure about that. I will miss here most of all. | |

| There have been a few earthquakes here in SoCal the last couple of hours. There was a 3.6 just after 8pm and another about an hour later just after 9pm that was a 5.1. There apparently were some others too. The 5.1 was centered in La Habra and was widely felt as far south as San Diego to as far north as Simi Valley. There has been lots of damage reported in Fullerton water main breaks and power outrages. I did not feel anything but a friend that lives down the street no more than 5 minutes away felt it really good. Anyway I wanted to tell you all I'm fine and everything is okay where I am. | |

| Glad you are okay Teddy. some of my friends who live near the La Habra area have been posting about the earthquake. Friends who live in Victorville felt it to. So many earthquakes happening and it freaks me out wondering when and where the next one will hit Shannon | |

I like the tshirts at Walmart. They also sell Danskin workout clothes and Danskin is a good workout brand. I don't like going to Walmart though cause the last 6 or 7 times I have gone I have came out of there not feeling well. I seriously think there is something in there that I am allergic to. The new Walmart supermarket which is right next door to the normal walmart is very nice though. I prefer Target, Kohls, Ross and Sears. Haven't been to JC Penny's in a very long time. Haven't been to Sears for a while either but I still like the store a lot. Shannon

| There have reportedly been over 30 aftershocks. The 3.6 felt after 8pm was a foreshock to the 5.1. I heard something about a 4. something aftershock and a couple others over 3 but I don't know how many or the exact magnitudes. They've been reporting things so quickly I can't even process the information. In addition to the water main breaks and power outages there has also been lots of reports of glass breaking, things following off shelves, movement of furniture, gas leaks and more. There was also a rockslide reported in Carbon Canyon in Brea that caused a car to overturn. The driver is said to have suffered minor injuries. This is pretty damn scary. By all accounts after the earthquake felt here in the early morning a week or two ago I am so freaking glad I didn't feel any of these tonight especially that big one. On a totally different topic I just found this really cool picture of Manhattan from the NY sky. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bj2z3x-IgAA6CSX.jpg:large | |

| I saw my twitter feed light up while watching Enlisted last night. Many LA celeb were tweeting about the quakes. I hope everything settles down. We had one on Haida Gwaii earlier this week so the west coast is being very active.
It is 50 years since the great Alaska Good Friday quake. The tsunami was the worst the west coast as ever seen. I still remember feeling the earth move in North Vancouver.

| Good Saturday morning ladies! Teddy, figured you could use some hugs! Scary stuff indeed! But Cali is earthquake central so sadly these things happen. Ever since I was a little girl I said I would never live in Cali. Between the quakes, fires, droughts, smog and how expensive it is I just could never. But we can't help where we are born. I have lived here dealing with tornadoes and blizzards. Hard to find a place that is safe. Look at what just happened in Washington state Florida with the hurricanes and sink holes!! Scary stuff! Hopefully the worst is over and you guys will go a long time now without any quakes or aftershocks. 45 and partly sunny here today. Staying home and getting work done so I can be out all day tomorrow when it is 60 and sunny! Going to make a fresh salmon salad today. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead!! | |

| Well I finally dragged myself out of bed. Today is usually my day to sleep in but I have to keep reminding Hobo of that! Little bum tried to sneak out yesterday when I came home. As per usual he didn't go far! Think he has cabin fever.
Earthquakes are scary stuff! Stay safe on the west coast! So glad I live where I do. We seem to be in a bubble of sorts. We very rarely get any type of extreme weather. We get the normal winter and summer storms but that's about it.
Once I manage to get my butt in gear, I need to take my boss's laptop to the computer shop here. I had a virus on mine a while back and took it there. They fixed it very reasonably. She now has one on hers so she asked that I have them fix it as well. Then I'm having lunch with my lovely niece to get caught up on all the family gossip and such. I'm looking forward to that. After that not sure what the day will bring!

| Thanks I will! I don't get to see her all that often since she is so busy. They're at that age where they're on the go constantly! You have to book time weeks in advance. She's finishing up her Pharmacy degree this term so she will be starting work in Toronto in September. She and her boyfriend will probably be moving closer to Toronto for both their commutes so I will probably see them even less than I do now. | |

I have been in a Blizzard once but have never encountered Hurricanes, Tornadoes,Typhoons or some of the other huge things and I never want to. Earthquakes are scary enough for me I don't need the others to give me a heart attack. Shannon

| Bummer..... But it is so nice of her to visit with you! All my aunts always lived far away and didn't see them other than for family get togethers etc. My Uncle Tony (who was also my godfather who was killed by the drunk driver) and his wife (my Aunt Mary - the only aunt I still have) I saw the most as the visited a lot. Even after Rob and I got married we saw them a lot. Went antiquing together a lot. Then he was killed..... Still miss him so. My Aunt's health has gone down hill a lot since the unexpected death of her son, my cousin Tony, and she doesn't get out much now. So I think it is great that your young single nieces make time to be with you! | |

| Yes I am lucky Shannon! I don't plan on moving out of this area that's for sure. Perhaps out of this townhouse, but not out of the area.
I am very lucky FC.......although my other niece is still in England and will be until August. Not sure where she and her boyfriend will end up when they return. It is very difficult to land teaching positions in this area so they will quite probably end up elsewhere.
Toronto really isn't that far. We just have to make the effort. I hardly see my aunt and uncle or cousins either. Hopefully some of them will be able to attend my nephew's wedding in July and we can get caught up.
