I downloaded mine, but it says the file is invalid..............

How did you do it FC................. I saved it to my music, went to unzip it (extract) and it says there is nothing there????

Maybe it is the default music program you use

All I have to do with the program Rob has as my default is to double click on the download icon and it opens and plays. I have it playing right now in Windows Media Player.

I have Media Player as my default. I did manage to get it, but it was weird. It came in as a compressed zip file, so I changed it to 'all files' instead of 'compressed file' and when I double clicked to open it. It was weird for me. Wonderful song, and I like the others on his site, especially "Proud".

Glad you got it to play!! It is a wonderful song! I think all his songs are wonderful! I love his voice so much and his piano skills are awesome!

Eli has a new CD that you can get from his store. Actually, I would call it more of an EP since it's only 4 songs; it costs $7.

It's 3 original songs plus "Walking in Memphis".

I wonder how much technology affects the whole idea of "fandom". It's like when we were kids, the popular teen idols like David Cassidy, Donny, etc. were all over the teen fan magazines, but they only came out once a month or so. And if you saw someone on TV or in a movie that you thought was cute, unless some magazine did a story about him, it was almost impossible to find any information. So after a while, you probably forgot him.

Now, all you have to do is google someone's name and you can find out all about him or her. I think it makes it much easier to be a fan.

Aw..........I had the best conversation with my neice yesterday and she asked me what I thought about the whole Adam 'thing', and she felt the same way as I do! What a sweetie she is, because I doubt Adam's music is her taste.

I was delighted to find this very old thread. I, too, loved Eli. Walking in Memphis knocked me for a loop. I thought he would go far, but then I never heard any more about him and don't think he got a recording contract. Anybody know what he is doing? Last I could find out, he was back to playing local clubs in his hometown.

I find it a travesty that Eli did not go on to real success after the show He is amazing!

I bought the first CD he made - I think he and his dad literally made them! His dad mailed it to me. I love it! Love his original music.

There had been so many rumors going around that he was signed with a major label - but it just doesn't seem to be true.

I so wish he had gone on Idol instead! He could have gone so far on Idol and probably would have gotten a contract for sure. I don't think AGT has any prestige. I can't even watch it as it has so many freaks on it that it is laughable.

If I find out anything at all I will put it here. I believe he is from around where Badger lives - so she might have more info than anybody else here.

I am one of his Facebook friends (fans really) but I haven't seen much from him there. I'll check today to see if he has had any updates.

The last time I checked, he had posted pictures of some things he had built out of Legos. He also posted pictures of his kittens.

Eli is such a serious MUSICIAN that he seemed out of place on that freak show. At least he is probably earning more than enough for his bus fare now.

Out of the hundreds of talent shows I have watched, I have only cared about Clay, Eli, and Adam. I guess I like runner-ups.

Okay, I just went over to Facebook and lo and behold I saw an update for him. He says he just got back from L.A. where he did a reality show. It sounds like he was a judge or something. Didn't say what the show was, but maybe he was a guest judge on "America's Got Talent."

You're welcome. I'm curious to find out what the show was. Like I said, I'm guessing it's "America's Got Talent" but who knows. He didn't really drop any hints either way.
