| That is the plan.
Doesn't even give the little girls time to save their allowance for the next movie! I mean two films less than a month apart!

| Again I might get tomatoes for this but so be it.
I know Justin might be 16 but that doesn't lessen his struggles to get where he is or not make them as important and significant as somebody else's who is older and has probably worked at it longer. Yes it might have taken him a lot shorter time wise compared to most people but that's because he ended up being one of the lucky ones. I don't know a lot about him but I know there's got to be something incredibly special about him for two of music's biggest stars to be after him and want to support him. Yes the hype over him right now is OTT and he is highly overexposed but that can't be blamed on him. You got to look at the people who are running his show. As I said last night I have recently grown quite an appreciation for him. I'm not a big fan by any means but I can see what so many other people see in him now. I say good for him. I hope as the years pass and things change that he can work the business to his advantage so that he keeps making it work appropriately.

| I don't know everything on Justin but there was a big article on him in the USA Today a few months ago. He and his mom lived in shelters, his dad was no where to be around. His mom entered him into a talent show and he won it. Winning that got him noticed. I have no clue when he got signed but now with the money he has he has been able to help his mom and to better their lives. He can play three different instruments, he can dance and his voice is not horrible. He is 16 and if he is doing things right he is working with a vocal coach so when his voice does change he still has a singing career if he still wants it. Justin is a good kid who I respect for what he has chosen to do with his life. He could of turned to drugs and alcohol and bad stuff cause of how his life was but he didn't he and his mother did her best for him and now he is giving back. Shannon | |

| What?????? I am not a Justin Beiber fan and do not own his cd's but I do respect him for helping his mother. There are too many people out there that are me me me centric and wouldn't lift a finger to help anybody out but Justin is helping his mother and trying to make his and her lives better. That should be commended. ETA: I forgot to say if Justin is smart he will put some of that money away so he can have money for College if he decides to go. He isn't a bad kid his handlers are the ones getting him out there so much to where it is overkill it is not his fault. Shannon | |

| OMG! Can somebody PLEASE direct me to the post where one of us says he is "a bad kid"?? Or that we blame him for any of this?? Can you please? Because I know for sure I never said that! I made it a point to say I am sure he is a good kid and that it is NOT his fault!
Many, Many artists who make it give to their moms - Elvis, Beatles, Clay, J-Lo, and on and on and on. You read it all the time. Yes, it is wonderful - and Beiber is not the first or last who will do this. Heck I know many people right now helping out their aging folks who don't have near the money or success Beiber has. It is actually quite common to help out your family.
As for growing up poor - sadly thousands, and thousands of kids are living that same life right now. Many who are famous and successful right now have virtually the same story as Beiber. All the kids deserve a break and people helping them. Nobody here said or implied anything different. However just because he has a sad backstory (much like we see every week on Idol auditions) does not justify the insane OTT hype on this kid. And I promise you hundreds of these poor kids in the streets and shelters have better voices and can probably dance just as well.
This kid got very lucky getting some successful hip/hop guys pushing him. But trust me - those same guys wouldn't have touched him with a 10 foot pole if he was overweight and ugly. One look at Justin and they saw hearts in the eyes of millions of little girls and great big $$$$.
I am not begrudging this kid's success. I have never blamed HIM or said a negative word about him as a person. The issue is the talent and only the talent not being anywhere near the hype and the INSANE amount this kid is being exposed.
Adam said it completely right the other night - the vocals were "eh". And they were and always are with this kid. Adam didn't say anything that wasn't 100% true and a LOT of people are saying the same thing about this kid.
That kid Ellen signed has a voice that made my jaw drop to the floor and his music is very mature and not all cutesy bubblegum like Justin's. Jackie from AFT has a talent that is worthy of the hype. What has bothered so much all along is that once again a kid (and very often women in acting) gets a huge success based mostly on physical appeal. I'd love to see that kid Ellen signed get the same type of respect/promo/success even though he is not "as cute" .
Nobody here said one negative thing about Justin B as a person or blamed him for anything.

| I think Grayson Chance is way cuter than JB and he definitely can sing! | |

| Well Sky - Grayson is cuter in my opinion too! But I don't think he has "the cool factor" that JB does which makes him more appealing to the young. Also Grayson has a mature sophisticated about him for his age. BTW - is his full CD out yet? I need to check it out because I am probably going to buy that one.
Bringing this back around to the Grammys - I think what bothers me the most is I find it rather a joke that JB gets a BNA nomination over Adam and others clearly more talented.

| ....and that's why any of these awards aren't worth the hype. The noms are based on success not talent. The Grammys aren't all they're cracked up to me because of that. Remember these are the same people that gave one to Milli Vanilli . These are the same people who never gave one to Freddy Mercury, for example. I'm out of this discussion now. I'm going to focus on thinking of Adam and Sauli on their romantic getaway. | |

| That much seems to be true now. I read an article that said the academy had no choice but to nominate Susan Boyle because of her huge sales. That it would look wrong to ignore those sales. I guess I just wish the awards that say "Best" really went to "Best".
It is indeed shocking some of the amazing Icons in music who have never gotten music's "most prestigious award". Really stinks.

| OMFG!!! What a damn gorgeous man!! Head to toe baby!! SO perfect!
I'm glad he loves Bruno Mars because that probably helped losing out to him. It helps me because I really like Bruno a lot and if it couldn't be Adam I am glad it was Bruno!
So smart of them to get MTV to go along for the ride!
