CBS is presenting the 2011 Grammy Nomination Showcase tonight. There are performances by some big name artists and nominations in key categories will be announced.

The Grammys were never about sales Angel. And they shouldn't be. I hate that the last few years it was clear that sales had a LOT to do with some nominations and wins - like Taylor Swift and now Justin. The Billboard Awards are strictly about sales and the AMAs nominations are usually based on sales also. The Grammys were always supposed to be about the talent. I am sad that it's changed a bit. But it does look like there are still some nominations that are not based on sales. Some anyway...

I think it will be Eminem's night in whatever he is nominated in. The man is genius and it's his time.

BNA, for the mostpart, has been an iffy category. I'm happy for Justin. I doubt he'll win but I'm happy he got nominated ..... and equally as happy that Kesha didn't! Thank.God. Could you imagine that mess on the Red Carpet?

Well, I am sure he is a sweet kid - so in that regard I am happy for him. But I do not find him deserving of this nomination. Certainly not over someone with the talent and vocal ability that Adam has.

I agree about Ke$ha!! Lordy she has turned into a real mess for sure!! Did she get any nominations? Being off-line for so many hours I am completely out of the loop as to what is going on!!

I'm hoping Florence + the Machine will win the BNA category. I think they stand a much greater chance than all the others in the category with them.

The smart money has been on Florence and The Machine winning BNA for months and months now. If not them it will be Drake. I do not think Justin B has a prayer of winning.

I don't think he stands much of a chance either.

You never know ........ not many believed that Adam stood a chance at a nomination and look what happened ........ Biebs is Usher's protege and Usher has a lot of influence in the industry. I would never say never.

Most of the time this particular award goes to the more unique artist. Like Amy Winehouse beat out Taylor Swift and last year Adele won over others with big hits. You will be able to knock me over with a feather if Beibs win this one.

Awww, canear is just a proud Canadian!!!! And so she should be! Justin might not be the greatest out there, but people love him just the same.

Hey he's the hometown boy made good (or close enough to be that!) and my 7 year old niece is in love with him.......

It's time Beibs lets somebody else win something.

Teddy, I have never heard that song before. I don't listen to the 'pop' radio stations, I listen to the 'rock' radio stations, but only when I'm in the car and not playing a CD!

I am happy for Justin. I read about his life before he got so popular. It was and is only he and his mother and they had pretty much nothing. Canear weren't they sleeping in shelters at one point? There was a huge article about them in the USA Today paper a couple of months ago. Well Justin and his mom have been through a lot and to try to make something happen Justin went out for a talent contest and won. He started to get noticed and things started rolling in for him. He said he is finding a way to help out his mother for all she has done for him. I respect him a great deal. I may not love his voice but what he is doing to make a better life for himself and his mother is amazing.

Like I said before, I am sure he is a lovely kid. Lots in show biz have hard luck stories and sad backgrounds. Doesn't mean that should win awards. He is making a boatload of money and he and his mom will probably never have to worry about living in shelters again. That's great. I totally understand rooting for the hometown kid - I did for Lee. I still don't think he deserves all these awards because he is not popular so much for his talent as he is for being a cute boy that tweens love. That is fine - but not for Grammys.
