Prayers needed

Ok another update from Tuesday ... I called the Surgeon's office, and had an appointment Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 pm. By 5:15 pm, that same day, I was in the OR, under general anesthesia for another operation.

He opened everything back up, and drained out all of the blood that had been accumulating (causing the extreme swelling/pain). Instead of cauterizing each area, this time he sutured every area he found bleeds. After recovery, I was admitted to the hospital. Thank God, Sara and Shanna were both with me.

Shanna came and picked me up on Wednesday to take me home. I have been resting quite a bit Wed. and Thurs. Needless to say, our Thanksgiving was a very quiet one, only going to Ruth's house where sweet Sara did all of the cooking. (Shanna got the chore of making the relish plate!)

So, today, the bandages came off, and I finally get to take a shower! YAY! That is going to feel good!

I'm feeling quite a bit better, though still tired.

Oh, the Surgeon told me that they gave me PROPOFOL to put me to sleep! I reminded him that this is what killed Michael Jackson - he said "Well, it's not like we gave you an overdose and then left to go out and have some drinks!"

Monday afternoon can't come soon enough ... I just want to get the news ...

Cathy, you sure have been through quite a lot. I'm sorry you had to do another surgery, but if it helped you I'm glad it was done.

Thank goodness they were able to help you so quickly....not that you wanted another procedure/surgery. Good Lord, enough is enough, huh? Continued prayers going your way.

Oh my Cathy ....... thank goodness you're on the mend again!

Sad to hear you needed more surgery WC.... Glad to know it went well and you are doing better. So happy you were home for Thanksgiving! Sounds like a lovely day with all your girls! Tell Shanna we are proud of her for tackling the all important relish tray!! :xmasclapping:

Thank you Potsie, for your sweet thoughts and prayers. Yes, I did have a Hemotoma, but am feeling a little better since they cleaned it up.

Sorry I didn't see your update here til now ~
Glad you got to spend Thanksgiving at home with your daughters, and happy that your pain was taken care of and has now subsided.

Cathy, the reason I asked about a hematoma, is because I got one after my hysterectomy in 1994. My fever went to 103 and I was in great pain. I also didn't have an appetite. They had to drain it. I had to wear a bag that was put in my side. I went to Christmas gathering at Troys parents and ate like crazy! They're very painful!

Potsie ~ Oh my ... Ouch! I'm glad they got you all fixed. I think the reason they did the second surgery so soon, was to avoid further complications. Thank God, I didn't have a fever ... Yes, they are very painful!

Prayers have been answered ..... BENIGN !!!

I saw my Surgeon late this afternoon (Mon), and he told me the wonderful news!! Thank You God!

He also told me that this abnormal/suspicious lump had some non-cancerous cells, and these kinds of lumps can come back at a later time, and could be cancerous then. But, he did get all of it out, so, we go with .... benign!!

He also said, now I have a 'marker' , and this will be used for preventative care ... more checks with my doctor, yearly Mammograms and Ultrasounds, and to keep close watch on things myself.

The news was all good to hear, and I am so Thankful to God for giving me this Blessing! I am also incredibly Thankful to ALL of you Ladies, once again, for your prayers, support and good thoughts! It Worked!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ....

I can't drink while I'm on antidepressants, but I like to drink straight tequila. Sometimes, I drank too much, and Troy had to help me to bed. I'm so sorry I put him through that. It was hard on him.

Lots of drinking going on in here!!!!

Prayers for Eric's day in court today would be much appreciated.

Also, he has a job interview this afternoon. Trying not to get my hopes up too high - but if you all could send some good vibes for that too I would be forever grateful!
