I am happy for her! I think that lack of confidence in her smile might explain a lot about what some felt was an attitude problem.

If her cd is released in the spring then I know without a doubt that Jive is more than incompetent they are people who don't give a rats ass about anybody on their label. All the crap going on with Kris and Alli and then reading this it is just wigging me out. I pray for these three to be able to survive their label!

Spring?!

Spring time? Seriously? What the heck ever! I've never heard of anyone winner or runner up taking that freaking long before the album got released! The label has always pressed them to have it before the end of the year. Geez. I don't know what to think about this.

I just went to IDF to read the latest about delaying her CD and let me tell you - the lack of activity in her and Lee's threads is really something. Sadly, I think these two are really screwed I'm hoping for the best for them - but I don't think they are going into their album eras with much of a solid fanbase.

That really is sad. This was a hard season for all of them, being compared to season 8 and always coming up short. I hope that they can come out of this with enough exposure to give them a little career anyway.

I was just reading the "Other Idols" thread at AWoP and there is talk that Crystal may have been dropped already by Jive and that there has been problems with her and the label and her management and other Idols - especially Casey!!

That may all be crap (and I hope so) but WOW if any of it is true!!

She seems to be strong willed and have her own ideas of what she will do. If they are butting heads too much and with her not having that strong a fan base that might be all it would take.

I think she is been a little difficult to work with like not wanting to record during the tour............who does she think she is?............ besides waiting until Spring to put out her CD will be suicide, not many people will remember her by that time they will be to busy with the new season contestants.

Yep. Spring will be all about Season 10 contestants. And if the winner/runner-up are really exciting she is just going to get buried in their dust.

I can understand her wanting to put out a good product but you have to be resonable, without a label she won't be putting out anything.

It might just be better for Crystal if she goes Indie. I don't think having Jive is going to benefit her at all. We already know they're a crap label.

I think I figured out what happened. Crystal still has her record contract. However, there was a 19E employee named Gina Orr who I believe has been doing some work with Kris Allen- PR I believe.

Anyway, she tweeted earlier today that she is leaving 19E to start her own company and to manage Crystal Bowersox.

That might be a good thing?? Crystal has a wonderful voice. It always amazes me how much info you have, Badger.

Tell us how you really feel Crystal! Ha. Crystal needs to choose her battles with the label wisely, if she wants to continue to work with them. If she alienates The Powers That Be, they may not work so hard to promote her. If her album flops/and or there are no hit singles, it will be one and done with Jive

She said she wanted financial security for her son. It is tough to get record contracts now days. Sales are in the toilet. Indie labels and low sales have no $$$ for promo. No payola to radio. How do you put butts in seats at shows with no radio hits and no TV promo? No print promo?

You have to play the game or you just hit the road all the time playing little clubs for peanuts and either drag your little one on the road with you or leave them behind with grandpa.

She is blowing a big opportunity here. Most everybody has to work their way up in the world and they have to kiss some asses and bite some pride along the way.
