Thanks. I think the cover is very Crystal. Looks like it is for a country album though.

Hold On plays kinda muddled for me. Seems very "Breakaway" like.

They sure played around with Farmers Daughter compared to her original way of doing it.

I will listen to the other song when the kids are at school and napping.

I like the co-write she did best of the three. I think it would have been a better first single. They did change up Farmer's Daughter quite a bit. I think it still sounds good though. She did say people would be able to get the original version too. Not sure how just yet.

I wish her luck but you all are right, she had better stop talking. It might all ready be to late, she has to have made some enemy's in high places. I would think that anything less then a hugh hit, which it isn't going to be, would get her dropped.

She already has one strike against her and that is that she is with Jive who has this uncanny thing about not promoting singles So yeah with the way she has been going she will be lucky to see anything from her cd.

The upside? In December, Crystal has a gig sponsored by a California AAA radio station. Is Jive pursuing a completely different strategy for Crystal than they have for past Idols like David Archuleta and Kris Allen? Is Jive eschewing the pop market altogether to market Crystal to Hot Adult and Adult Alternative?

If they are, the single switch could be a very good thing. Crystal is a gifted songwriter. Her blend of folk blues and country would be a perfect fit on Adult Alternative next to acts like Ray Lamontagne and Wilco.

Here’s hoping that Jive has decided to think outside of the box. Crystal isn’t going to be a hot seller coming off a weak season of Idol, so why not market her like a brand new artist? If the album is as good as I’m hearing it is (Critics have it in their hands as we speak), word of mouth could sell the record, in a way her American Idol background can’t

I thought she did very very well with Farmer's Daughter. I'm not sure I've heard the other song and coming from Kara, it might be a good thing to have a different song as her single.

Some songs I like and some are more country than I had hoped for.

Yeah, so far I am not jumping for joy. Looks like both Lee and Crystal's CDs are 50/50.

The overall sound does lean pretty heavily toward country but I think it really suits her. She sounds great on the song snippets.

She does sound good, I just don't think I could listen to all that much country sounding songs too much. I'll wait to listen to the whole songs before I buy it.

Apparently she's known Brian for a long time. I remember reading that they always wanted to be together but it was never a good time. Something like that.
