| canear, glad you got it alright! I was wondering when it would get there. It took just under two weeks. Awesome!
Well, my mom and I have talked about the event quite a bit. We agree that the majority of those who attended were women. But there were A LOT of men too. There were especially a lot of men over where we were and all around the outer edge of the crowd. Of course a huge percentage of the crowd was of the young variety meaning people my age and so forth. However, it honestly was a very good mixed group. People of all ages, sizes etc. Neither one of us could even try to estimate how many people were there. You've got to take into account there were other areas on the lot too. It was certainly crowded though, but not suffocatingly crowded that is for the most part. There was room to walk and move around if you wanted. Not necessarily when Adam was on the stage. It was pretty packed in then. Like I said many others got up on the stairs where we were and we could only stand still. We couldn't move or dance around. There was no space and take into account we were about 40ff-50ft away. Even as we were leaving we had to weave in and out around flocks of people.
I will agree that there was no shortage of bartenders. There were plenty of places to go all over to grab a drink. As far as food goes I have no idea. Remember my mom and I had a very nice big dinner before we went. However, I knew going in that what they would have would not be much. It specifically said on the site they would have vendor food and even named off chicken, hot dogs, cotton candy and all that sort of the stuff. So I knew it was nothing more than what you would find at a carnival/festival or at a theme park. That's exactly why mom and I decided to go somewhere beforehand. We also didn't want to eat that late and especially if it was just going to be a bunch of crap.
The bathrooms. We knew they would be those disgusting things too only because that's what there usually is at event like this. We weren't about to use one of those things. Gross. We did get a couple bottles of water and I also got a 7up. I drank that but neither of us touched the water. We didn't want to have to use the bathroom and we didn't want to have to separate or lose our spot by moving. So we stayed put for four solid hours.
As far as the total event goes as I said in my previous post it was pretty boring for the first couple of hours. Nothing was going on. Nothing exciting. Sure they had a dance group on from America's Next Dance Crew, which was alright. I actually enjoyed them. Then they had a few other acts on too all of which were TERRIBLE! The crowd was not very responsive to any of them no matter how hard they tried and even the radio girl host had issues getting the crowd going too. It was all pretty blah. So if you take the fact that my mom and I were only there to see Adam OUT of the picture we can honestly with 100% certainty say the event was a complete wash. Not a whole lot there to do. Not a whole lot to see. If anything I think the only good perk was all all free drinks until 1:45am, which again we didn't take part in.
I did mention in my last post too about our disappointment in the staging along with the lack of fireworks display. Again they did have fireworks, but they were not visible. Stage was too small and the area they set it up in was not a great spot.
Considering all of that I'm glad we didn't spring for any of the more expensive tickets. $150 was quite enough thank very much. I know I'm biased but that price alone with worth it to see Adam and I wouldn't change a darn thing. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

| A really good review by a lady from TALC who was at the concert. So now we know that the girl Tommy was kissing was his girlfriend, not a stranger! - Quote :
- Well ok, from the beginning. As you all know I responded to a fellow Adam fan who had an extra VIP ticket. After much coersion on her part, and wrangling airfare, I decided to go. Then right before I went, Candy put out an sos message about needing people for her table due to some liar's horrible joke or whatever( this resulted in the two tables not being sold and the people who had bought them sol). So I ended up being at the table with her and some other cool ladies and that turned out to be awesome. Great group of people. One of our group was HeartNsoul! The fan who saw Adam at the Gaga concert. She is a very cool person. So was her hubby.
We arrived at the venue at nine, and I swear, this lady, Vaneesa, who we had all been talking to ALL DAY, was the most disorganized person ever. You would think they had never run this event before. Anyway I tell Vannessa who I am and give her my ticket, ID and credit card. She looks at my stuff, gives them back to me with out doing anything with them, and gives me my tickets and armbands. I am confused but OK(I thought I was supposed to pay more money)! Then we get escorted to our table. When we get there, this security guy says that we can't go back with out a backstage armband. And we try to tell him that is wrong, so our snow bunny escort has to go back and clarify for us or get the grean BS arm bands( now we knew this was wrong because you had to pay 1K for one of those armbands to get the chance to meet Adam) Finally we got to get to our couch.
I will skip to Midnight since we spent the evening taking advantage of the free food, open bar, and people watching. So Midnight comes and Pamela Anderson and Fireworks. And then ADAM! OMG I was screaming and jumping and laughing as he kissed PA multiple times. He looked so good! Ya'll have seem the pictures I know but really, that first time I saw him on stage with the band was just aweseom! And he was in high spirits. So happy and excited. As you know, he opened with Music Again which was perfect. By the way, I was pretty much standing front row center. Well maybe 1 or 2 people were in front of me but you all who have met me know that I am tall so I had agreat view of him. and the stage. Not the best view for taking wide angel pics of the whole band but I thought being so close was more important than full stage images! But the man was on fire. Actually, the whole band was really into it. He trully just lit up on stage. Even more so then while on tour. Ya'll know the entire set list by now but I will tell you my personal favorite highlights. Sleepwalker. Adam KICKED ASS on that song. Rocked it out hard! Oh man it was incredible! AND he did DTRH! Oh that was so cool! It was funny because I was shouting for it and that was when they played it and Monte laughed and nodded and pointed at me. I was sooo happy that they did that song! Its my fave up there with Fever. Which he did. And Strut was great and boy did he work that song. One of the girls said he was as gay as she had ever seen him and it was great. Really, there were no missteps. I think he got his set list off at one point but who cares! During WWFM, he and Tommy did their move a little differently, front to back instead of back to back and it was really hot that way. Kinda sweet. He and Tommy gave lots of fan service by the way. A lot. It was great. The crowd went pretty nuts for them! And of course by now you know he came back for an encore and did WLL! Wow was this a crazy performance! The guys were all over the stage, just crazy with energy( and maybe a little drunk LOL). Monte and Tommy and Adam just were jamming up there on stage. They were awesome. Oh And you know they did Soaked. That was cool. I had wondered how they would do that song with out all the orchestration but they pulled it off. SO finally the show was over, and I was hanging with Eileen who had been lucky enough to catch Adam and Tommy. I wanted band pics. So we headed back stage like we belonged there. And on the way ran into Leila and Danielle. I didn't get a chance to take a pic with mombert but I did get on with Danielle and had a chance to talk to her for a few moments. I told her that the fans loved her because she seemed to be such a great and authentic friend to Adam. SHe was sweet and gracious. So we continued back to backstage area where Adam was doing a private meet and greet. Of course we couldn't get in but we met plenty of cool people just hanging out. There was a group of pretty gay boys out there. We chatted with them, asked if they were friends or family. They answered friends. They were heading over after the concert to Adam's house for an after party. Sorry guys, I tried to wrangle an invite but the boys said no. I am pretty sure that the one we talked the most was Colton and the other was that Kitrick kid maybe. If I am right, Colton is really cute and friendly. I liked him a lot. We also ran into Lisa D'Amato. Didn't recognize her because she was wearing this mask. But she wanted pictures so I took one of her. She was sweet though too. Saw A guy who may have been Brendan but not sure. Longineu was the first band member who came out and graciously let me get his picture. He seemed sort of eager to go but he was nice . His voice is really high and sort of nasally! Not as tall what I imagined! LOL! But I did congratulate him on his engagement. I think Joan was there too. Found Lisa next. She is really cute and sweet and has a little girl voice. She said that Adam was such an amazing talent and that she was enjoying being in the band. I told her she didn't tweet enough and she said everyone has told her that but she is new to it and all. LOL! Finally Tommy came out.. And guys, he is super cute in person. Even cuter than his pics. He is polite and well spoken. I did ask him for his pic and he said, Of course! And he put his arm around me and pulls in really close and says "I am so Drunk right now!" ANd I told him that was ok. So he snuggles in for two pictures. And I said Tommy, can we take you home with us? ANd he said, you could put me in your pocket. He was hilarious really. He actually hung out for a while because everyone decided that they wanted to to get a picture with him. And since he was drunk and amenable, I asked him all sorts of stuff, like what made him audition for the band. I think someone got video of the reply! But essentially said a friend told him to check Adam out and he thought he was amazing. Then he got a call to audition and he and Adam just hit it off. I also asked him to give a shout out to the Adam Bombs which he did! Finally I asked him for another picture since one of mine didn't come out. He was talking to his gf, so I was waiting, and the girl holding my camaera just said to get him. I said he's talking to the his gf! She had just laid a major kiss on him minutes before in front of everyone. LOL! Finally when she was done I tapped him on the arm and asked for the photo. And he said "Sure!Just say Tommy, get the fuck over here!" Yeah, he cracked me up! And yes, i think the boy really is straight. LOL! Finally I got to meet Monte. Nice guy. Also very drunk. He was super amenable to pics. I think I got stuck in several with him! LOL! Then Adam and his entourage were escorted away with no chance for fan interaction. So the night was over. It's after 3 by now. I had a 6:50 am plane to catch to TX so I didn't sleep, just packed and headed for the airport. I really thought I was nuts to go to LA for NYE but it was sooo worth it! really the best NYE I have had in years! Gang, when I get home, i will clean up my pics and post tons. I think I have some great shots that you all will enjoy.

Not if the name sounds stupid! This Adam and Tommy stuff is all for show on stage and it's getting old. I hope if Tommy is the band when Adam tours they don't continue with it being as Tommy is straight. It's ridiculous.

| I think it's that way for you canear because you just don't care for it. More particularly you don't care that everybody is running with it and making it more than it is. I don't think there's anything wrong with them having fun and messing around. It's adds to the show, but that doesn't mean there's nothing out there that can top it or be better in overall terms. I think that's just because I'm not taking it the same way many others are. The difference is I've actually got a brain and can put aside fantasy and reality. | |
