THIS IS US - BEST FAMILY DRAMA EVER

Such an excellent episode last!!!  Loved Kevin's dream!!!!!!!!  So so great seeing those two actors in a scene together!!  I teared up!

Damn this show is so damn GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Randall and soooo many episodes revolving around him is getting on my last nerve!!

I want more of everyone else! Looks like lots of Randall next week too!

The episode Tuesday was so good.

I am saddened to read this morning that next season will be the final season....  I am sooooo going to miss this show   In my opinion there is so much more story to tell they could have gone on for years!  As the kids grown up etc.

But the article says the creator/producers always planned on only 6 seasons.  I will be super bummed watching the series finale.  We already know it is going to end with Kate's passing....

Well, what can you.  All good things must come to an end.....

Oh man.... why do I have a feeling this wedding might not happen or if it does it's in trouble!!

I do really enjoy the episode even though Kevin can be a bit of a jerk sometimes....

I was glad to have an episode not focused on Randall!  I love him but I want more of the others.  There is never enough Toby for me!!

I think we got a hint at the future for Toby and Kate I am afraid....

UGH!!  Last night.....  so sad Kevin and Madison did not go through with the wedding...

NO!!!!!!!!  That ending!!! 

Oh I just knew Kate and Toby were going to divorce but I just didn't want it to be true......  I loved those two together so much!  What a bummer.....  BUT, Kate does look beautiful and happy in the flash forward and I do like her boss.  What can you do... 

Watching the actors talk about how next season is the last season made me tear up.  I am so so sad this show is coming to an end.  There was so much more story they could have told.  Especially with all the grandkids.  But it is what it is.  Six years with the Pearsons is a blessing! Such outstanding television!!

Looking forward to the new season!!

Oh last night's episode was sooo good!  Great to have so much Milo!!!  He is wonderful.  He and Mandy are amazing together.

Sad knowing it's all coming to an end soon...  I cannot believe it has been six years since the first episode.  Boy did that go fast!

FC how are you enjoying the final season so far? This last weeks episode made me cry but then that’s not unusual when it comes to this show.

Oh I always love this show! I am enjoying it but also just so bummed knowing it's all coming to an end.... I believe they said 10 more episodes and all in a row. That would be nice! This show has been so come and go my mom totally gave up on it quite some time ago....

I get really upset when I think about how the Emmy Academy is soooo focused on Cable shows that this show doesn't get all the nominations it deserves! Mandy has been way overlooked! A couple of the guys have gotten a few nominations for various awards. I know Sterling has won a few but only him. The others were also deserving of more....

A lot of people on ONTD guessing on who Kevin ends up with. Most are hoping not Sophie as that is too obvious. Do you have any guesses?

FWIW - I am bummed they put on limit on the seasons. I feel there was just endless stories to tell of this whole family. The new kids growing up and the Big Three getting old etc. It still has good ratings and a very dedicated fan base. Could have continued. Grey's is on season 19!!! We should have gotten more than 6 with the Pearsons....

The Randall episode was really good!!!  I have greatly enjoyed the trilogy of the "triplets".   The next episode looks really upsetting....  I guess this is when Kate and Toby end things.  I really am sad they messed with this couple.  I just adored them together in the earlier seasons.  What can you....

The last episode was so good and so heartbreaking....  I am so disappointed with the direction they took Kate and Toby.  They were my fave couple beside Jack and Rebecca when they were young.  They were special.....

I barely got to see any of it this week’s episode. I’ve missed like three or four episodes in all. I saw last week though. My plan is to go back and watch this season from start to finish once it’s all said and done.

I am disappointed too the direction they took Toby and Kate. They were wonderful together. They are wonderful together………

Glad you agree!!  While it is not as talked about as it was at first... which show is after 6 years.  It is still good in the ratings and still has a large devoted fan base.  I can only assume the creators, show runners, etc. just didn't want to commit any more time to it.  Or they feared it getting cancelled without enough notice to wrap everything up.

Maybe they can do a spinoff with the children of the triplets     Would love to see a continuation of their stories.

Yes, so so sad about Kate and Toby.  They were just such a joy to watch in the earlier seasons.  Loved the chemistry of the actors. 

It makes me sad that Jack and Rebecca and Kate and Toby did not get the fairy tale ending....

I am really going to miss Milo on my TV.  He is special.  At least as Jack he was really special.

Well, as sad as I am that Kate and Toby were not forever.....

They did wrap things up very nicely.

They stayed good friends, and they both did get their Happily Ever After - just not with each other.

I am satisfied with the ending of that story. So well acted. It was a wonderful episode. Bravo to the actors. You do not get the recognition you two deserve....

Only 6 episodes left... Going to miss this show so much.

Wow, what a touching, sad, heartwarming, and yet kinda fun, episode last night!! 

Mandy was outstanding!  So good to see Jack!!!  Sad reason to see him, but still so good!  Love him!

Everyone looked so beautiful and handsome! Kids so cute!

Wish there was a way for Toby to be in the episode.  Missed seeing Randall and Beth's girls.

I cried last night when Rebecca was singing that song and I know I will need a box of tissues on the last night with the Pearsons...

This show the last few weeks………

I cried too when Rebecca sang the song at the reception. It was beautiful. Heartbreaking too.

I’m so happy Kevin and Sophie now have their happily ever after. I’ll tell you what though I sure wish they would have had kids! Or maybe they did and we just don’t know yet. The way it happened was perfect. I loved how she made him let her talk and he just listened. They both had the perfect individual talks with Randall and Rebecca respectively.

This weeks episode was just a heartbreaker.

I wish we could have had more backstory with Miguel. More time getting to know him. More stories. Even though he was struggling himself to be that devoted to someone. He loved Rebecca so much. She sure got to so lucky to have two great great loves. They were both different but they were both great.

I was so sad that he ended up passing away before her even though it wasn’t surprising.

It was wonderful to see the big three step up and have that talk with Miguel. It was especially great that Kevin went to see Miguel’s son making sure that they got that closure and fixed things between them before Miguel passed away.

I just feel like they have gone way too fast with some things. We have gotten glimpses but not enough with some stories and some characters.

Sighs.

I’m going to need a whole bunch of tissues for the last couple……….

The last few episodes have been totally amazing! 

I too was sad to learn that Miguel will not be with Rebecca through to the end of her struggles....  He was a rock. 

I do not know why they felt the need to end this series after 6 years and therefore kinda rushing some stories along faster than we would have liked.

It is also a bummer that we are not seeing more of Randall's girls this season.  We are not going to get a lot of the interesting teen years with them.  Not enough time this season to focus on that.

I too wish Keven and Sophie could have had a child together.  Oh well, it is what it is.... 

I cannot believe this has been on six seasons!  It has gone by so quickly.  I have never missed a second of this show.  Going to be really really hard to say goodby to this family/show/cast.  I have just adored it!

I agree. We have seen Randall and Beth’s girls older but we don’t really know where any of them are in their lives. It would have been nice to see more of them. They were an important part of the story tying in the past to the present day. We know about Kate’s son. We don’t know anything about about Kevin’s twins either.

Some stories they have just glossed over somewhat and not given them the proper respect or time they rightfully deserve IMO.

Miguel was always such a steady quiet supportive presence. I feel like he wasn’t fully appreciated or understood until much too late.

I hope by the final episode we get a glimpse into all the kids' lives! Or a wrap up of some type. I have seen some series end with a telling of where everyone ended up in life. I think we need that. For all the characters.

Man, it is going to be so hard to say goodbye to this family and this great cast....

This last episode I was a crying mess.

I know we both sound like broken records. This show always has us crying. And why why does it have to end???

When Randall and Zevin were brushing her hair and putting cream on her hands………the way Kate take her out for the walk. Kate telling her brothers they needed to really see their mom the way she currently was. Oh man…….

If Mandy Moore does not win an Emmy it will be a crime!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness... one of the most touching, beautiful, heartbreaking hours of television I have ever see!

While not as brilliant and amazing as last week's episode, it was still fabulous. Just a totally amazing series and amazing cast, amazing storytelling, and just not sure there will ever be a family drama that can top this one....

Goodbye Pearsons... thanks for the everything..... You were/are/and always will be loved.

Last weeks episode was so beautiful. It was thoughtful, heartwarming, heartbreaking, touching and everything else in between. The whole thing was one of the best hours in television there will ever be.

This weeks series finale episode was the same but in a much different way. It was subtle. It was a warm hug just like the creator and cast said it would be. I did enjoy the episode. The quietness. The simplicity of it. While I understand at the core of this show and the ending in particular it was about this family and time, the time you have with them, which I appreciate greatly I also felt a bit of emptiness. I felt empty because I feel like there could have been more. I wish there had been more.

I wish we could have had more of a glimpse of what the future looked like for the Big Three and for their individual families. Of course I know this show could have told so many stories and gone on for a long time. Of course I know that’s not what the creator wanted. BUT to take the time to tell specific stories throughout the series and have them be so prominent with specific characters like Deja, Jack, Malik, etc. Could we not have gotten a little more about them?

Then we have other stories that were literally on speed like Kate and Phillip, which obviously was never going to be concentrated on like Kate and Toby. We didn’t have to have their whole love story, but there could have been just a little more.

What about Kevin and Sophie? I understand this one too being how it took so much time, so many mistakes, so many tries. We could have seen something of what their life was like once they met at the right time!

Then what about characters we didn’t even get to know?? Franny and Nick who were Kevin’s kids. Hailey who was Kate and Toby’s daughter.

Sighs. The finale left a lot to be desired. I wish we. Luke have had more Kevin and Kate. The finale really should have been two hours. For a show that is loved so much I think they dropped the ball some.

I loved it. I respect what they were aiming for. I loved and enjoyed it as I always do. I just wanted more.

Saying all that I loved that Jack and Rebecca moved on together.

Their entire talk was beautiful. Perfect.

I loved how excited Randall was when he found he was going to be a grandfather to a boy!

I loved the very last Big Three speech Jack created for them.

I loved Toby’s speech to Kate.

I loved the through the years montage with the Big Three childhood memories and moments shaping into moments and memories for the expended family through the years. Things that had lasted and carried forward through time and generations. Things that just stick with families. That was really special.

I loved how Kate’s sentiments as she sat looking out at the rain as a kid reflected the same as her mom.

I’m everything was done wonderfully.

So I’m happy, sad, disappointed and grateful all at the same time.

I’m really going to miss this show.

I agree with all of that...

One, really hate that they felt they had to end it after 6 seasons - even though still so popular and good ratings.

Second - absolutely should have been two hours!!  You just cannot end such a beloved show in a one hour finale.

Third - that is what bothered me most - the lack of story for the kids of The Big Three.  Another hour and maybe they could have explored that more.  We know Jack gets married and has a child.  We know Deja is with Malik (sp?) and having a little boy.  We really do not know anything else.  

Maybe if they had one more season after this all of that could have been addressed.  We were left with so many questions....  

But other than that, the last two episodes were amazing and I am so grateful to have had six fabulous seasons with this amazing story and family.

Yes, going to miss this show something awful....     Tuesday nights are not going to be the same for a very long time....  Oh how I wish there would be a spinoff with the children of The Big Three and every now and then one of The Big Three could be on!  But I know it will never happen...  I am sure they feel they created something incredibly special and so loved that they do not want to do anything to take from that.  

But maybe every now and then a made for TV movie??  Like each Christmas or something!  That would awesome.  Christmas with The Pearsons!!  Oh, I can dream can't I
