As you know Angel I've been wondering the same thing. I do really hope it does incredibly well for the cast. They've got a great group of people on this show.

Well, I never watched either of those shows so I am thrilled to have something on at that hour on Monday!

I was not a Kat fan at all when she was on Idol - or since, but I see why she got this role. Her acting is wonderful!

I read that the talk is there will be a different cast (or at least part of the cast) each season (assuming it is renewed). I can see that happening. I can see where it would be a different musical being started up and looking for new actors/actresses for the musical. I think that would keep it really fresh.

Well they would have to do something with it to make it different so I can see that happening. I do wonder what that would mean for Kat. If the show sticks around, and I hope it does, I'd be interested to see what they plan to do to keep things fresh.

I could see them getting new young people on the show to compete for parts in shows. That could mean Kat and the girl playing Ivy moving on or having a smaller role on the show.

I sure hope they'll keep Kat involved somehow.

Me too. Maybe let us see her next show or how her career and personal life are going while they also bring on new characters. It could work and if Kat proves to be very popular they will want to keep her. Both Kat's and the shows reviews have been extremely positive! Great ratings last night too. They are calling it "Glee For Grown-ups"! Well, I'm a grown-up and I love Glee!

That's great to hear about Kat and the show getting rave reviews. I know NBC was putting so much stalk into this one. Although, it's way too early to tell, it only being the first episode and all, the great start is definitely a huge step in the right direction. I hope it keeps up!

I, too, was shocked at how good McPhee was. The show itself bored me, but I kept watching to see her act and listen to her sing. The entire cast is good. I'll watch next week to see if it gets my interest. But I'm predicting a bright future for Kat.

I'm predicting a HUGE future for Kat! That is why I changed the name of the thread. Girl is on her way!! Insanely naturally gorgeous, incredible vocals, very natural acting. You'd think she was acting all her life. So impressed with her!

I loved it and I think it is just going to get better and better!

This week was good. We got a peek into the character's lives some more. It's interesting to see the direction they're leading each one. Oh and my gosh is Jerry, the soon to be ex-husband, an ass!!! He deserves every single one of those drinks thrown in his face and then some. UGH!

Yay - that part is funny. I think each week we will get to see a little more of their personal lives.

What do you think about Ivy and the director? His name is Derek isn't it? I can't believe she bought that story he gave her. I guess he could have been telling the truth, but I very much doubt it. I mean after all he did try to get Karen to sleep with him too.

I think he is your stereotypical sleazebag director and I don't believe for a second that load of crap he gave Ivy. He is just using her and doesn't want to soil his home with her trash. I'm not saying Ivy is trash - but hey, you are up for a part and you sleep with the director you know what you are doing. I thought it was horribly wrong and tacky of her to start sleeping with him right off the bat before she got the part. I thought Karen handled him perfectly that first night at his place.

Agreed!! He's a sleazebag for sure and not to forget he is still trying to go after Karen too.

I really do not like the character of Ivy. Megan herself is great but this character just bugs me. I realize she's probably supposed to irk you, but it's something more than that, that I just do not like.

Next week looks like it's going to be really good.

I was so super tired (I have a really nasty head cold) that I knew I was going to fall asleep (and I did) so I taped it. Look forward to seeing it - but yeah, I had a feeling they were going to make Ivy kinda the "bitch" of the show. Megan is really good though.

I only caught the second half so I'll probably watch it over again on my days off to get the whole picture.

I ended up off at 4:00 today so I watched the whole episode. It was really good and I am sooooo impressed with Kat. She dances really well and goodness her voice is soooo good!
