Most of my shows do not get nominated either. I do not get HBO either and never see those mini series.

It is kinda bittersweet seeing Melissa get an Emmy when Lauren Graham has never even been nominated - a fact that has made every single Emmy snub list. Hopefully her day will come.

Overall I thought it was a great Emmy telecast!

FC, did you not see the spoiler list I had? Last night when you asked I posted it. I guess you passed right by it.

I don't watch any of those HBO shows or anything else of that variety. Most of those get nominated for the drama categories so when they're announced I have no idea what they're talking about.

Yeah. He's another one who really needs to stop winning. It's time for someone else to get the honor.

I am in the minority here I am sure but I don't like Modern Family. I like the Middle, the show that comes on after it. I thought that having Charlie Sheen on was a great surprise and I liked that he was on. Good publicity after a terrible meltdown. I don't watch much television so I cannot comment on the other winners.

My mom much prefers In The Middle to Modern Family too. She likes both shows but of the two that one is her favorite. She wishes it would get recognized and nominated. Even though she likes Modern Family she was annoyed they won so much tonight.

I don't have HBO nor do I watch most of the shows nominated. I do love Amazing Race though! Half the time, I have no idea who you all are talking about! I guess I know some for the show they are on but don't have a clue as to what their real names are! Watching TV isn't a biggie for me, I guess.............except for a few shows.

Maybe not network TV Sky but you do watch a lot of TV in relation to the Food Network.

I think Big Bang Theory is okay and I know Jim Parsons is an excellent actor but I am ticked that he won over Matthew Morrison that one year. I pray that Glee makes Will's Character better this season. For the most part season two was not the best year for Will till the middle part where they brought the Will back that people loved which also was two late to put him in running for the Emmys. Matthew Morrison deserves a emmy and I will just be heart broken if he never gets the chance to be up for another.

No neither Jane or Chris won in their categories for supporting actress and actor. I knew Glee would not win for comedy series but I had really hoped Chris or Jane could have pulled out something. The problem is overall (for many people) this past second season of the show was not the best and it didn't live up to how great season one had been. That is what really hurt them. I know the voters base their decisions off just ONE specific episode that being the episode submitted, but even so it still sucks. I really hope the third season improves and considering how many writers were added on I'm crossing my fingers it happens.

On the Food Network, I mainly only watch The Next Food Network Star and a few other shows, sporadically. I watch the HGTV network more. The TV is usually only 'watched' for maybe 3 hours at night, if there is something good or new on. You're right though, I don't watch a lot of network TV and lean more towards Reality shows.

I love Chris - but I do not think he deserved it over the guys from Modern Family. Their roles are just funnier and much more comedic and a much bigger part. Chris did not have as much screen time this past season when he was not part of the Glee club. Also, season two was not as good as season one and Jane's character this past season was horrible. I adored her scenes in season one and the writers ruined her in season two. Not her fault - but I'm sure that played a huge part in the voting. Plus, she did win last year so she has gotten her recognition winning several awards. Mathew is great - but his role is nowhere near as comedic as those on Modern Family.

It's called The Middle and here it is on before Modern Family. I do think that is also a great show and deserves more recognition.

I was surprised that the other guys from Big Bang Theory did not get nominated. They are hilarious and it really is an ensemble show. If any of them left it wouldn't be the same.

I think they should have time limits on winners. If you win, say, 3 times in a row, you can't be nominated again for at least a year. Jon Stewart winning for the 9th time was ridiculous. He needs to show some class and respect for the others and step aside. Others have done it.

I don't watch that show - but I loved Johnny since he was a child actor! He is awesome! And simply adorable to boot! I just can't get into the show. I tried a few years back. Not my cuppa I guess.

ETA: The thing about Jon Steward is it is THE SHOW that is winning - not him as host. Withdrawing means not just him - but taking it away from everyone involved in the show.

Everything about this look is just bad. As the article said (that was with this picture) "How can such a beautiful girl always get it so wrong on the red carpet?"

I guess she forgot that that girdle suppose to be worn as an under garment.

I just don't like the color on her either. Pull the hair straight back, don't part it in the middle........she looks better with her hair down anyway.

She looks better lighter blonde and hair down. I hate the dishwasher brownish look for the Footloose movie and her hair had some of that last night. I've never liked the parted down the middle pulled tight back look. So stern. Why would someone with beautiful hair ever do that?? I like hair loosely up with some curls falling. That is a very pretty look.
