It is offensive AIH and he knows it. He Tweeted as much. He just isn't a very classy guy that's all.

Well it's not offensive to me because it wasn't directed at me. Sorry but I can't get worked up about something like this.

Canear- I am not worked up. But I am included in that group and it was very stupid of him to insult a large group of his possible fans.

You do have to be smart if you want to succeed in the music business. I am sure Adam would not have said something like that. It is what bought Clay down.

My take on it I think he is getting sick and tired of the people who instantly sit down when he comes on stage. I have not one problem of sitting at a concert cause many times I have to do it cause of my knees but what bugs is when people are standing and then someone else comes on stage and they suddenly sit down cause maybe they don't want to see the person and so on. People really do not think cause they feel no one will notice but the people on the stage do. They notice when a huge amount of people go and sit and notice when people won't get up.

I know people who call young people Old farts when they just sit around like bumps on a log so maybe he didn't mean it towards actual older people maybe he meant it as just as a overall thing.

Yes, maybe he should have been smarter but he's a young guy and they don't always think before they hit send.......look at Scotty last week and the grief he took about the Long Island Beach.

AIH Adam has never said something like that but he has said that his fans are stinky and sweaty. He said that during the Idol 8 tour. I honestly didn't take anything from it cause I knew what he meant. You have loads of people crammed together at the barriers trying to get to him and they do get sweaty. The stinky comment maybe he could of not said but he didn't mean anything cruel by it. He did say the stuff though so things slip out by everybody. Kris has said stuff that he didn't mean as a insult and that got him in trouble. Adam isn't perfect, Kris is not perfect, Stefano is not perfect, Scotty is not perfect, James is not perfect. NOBODY is perfect and say stupid things that are not meant to be insults but people take the wrong way.

I'm not really shocked, I expected such behavior like this. Heaven forbid should someone have a medical problem and have to sit down while he is on stage............ I hope everyone with sore feet, sore knees, or whatever remembers to rest during the concert and remember to stand for James...........or you just might get called an old fart or other some offensive name.

The thing is this is not the first time he has taking to both Twitter and the stage to chastise people who "Don't remember why they bought their ticket in the first place!!!!" He has been ungracious many times during this tour and in interviews. He has been rude towards Adam. For ME he is unlikable. To each their own - but I believe firmly there is a darn good reason Interscope (and other majors) passed on him and I believe his arrogance and disrespect is a major reason. That and that Heavy Metal ain't gonna sell.

Those of you here who are fans of James I know for a fact are not Heavy Metal fans so you are not necessarily supporting him for his music per-say. I assume that you are supporting based on something else you really like about him. I myself just don't see anything very appealing about him personality wise, voice wise, music wise or physically. He just ain't my cuppa.

He really needs help in the PR department. I hope he gets it.

People can stand and sit for whoever they want to stand and sit for and do not deserve to be name called or yelled at from the stage or Twitter. MOST people cannot stand for the entire concert for various reasons - so they stand for those artists or songs they are most excited about. There is nothing wrong with that at all. James needs to understand that. Not everyone at these concerts are into him or there for him. When he has his solo concerts and everyone there bought a ticket specially to see him then I am sure they will stand for him - as much as they feel like it. Until then he needs to just except how it is. He doesn't have much longer with this tour anyway.

Also, Adam didn't "call his fans stinky and sweaty". He was asked about the down side and stated having to hug/get pix taken with some people who were sweaty and stinky. It was an answer to a question. That certainly is different than getting on Twitter and/or the stage and calling them out. He took heat from that and learn from it and he has been damn gracious towards all ever since.

Yes, James is young and hopefully will learn along the way. But I do think a lot of this is just his personality and he just might not change. Not everybody does. There are plenty of arrogant artists out there. People overlook it if they love the product being put out. If James' music doesn't sell well and he is not endearing - then he could be in trouble for sure, because at this point he is not a media darling and good press may be hard to come by. I hope for the sake of his fans that his handlers/Wind-up can get it all together for him.
