| LMAO...well I usually only seem to have Holidays from work (well that's how it feels)
& btw - translation - Phrase for the day...(after seeing someone collect their income support from the post office) "Cor blimey ma'e, gizza pownee ta be' on thu geegees" In the Queen English.... "Oh Gosh, you couldn't possibly lend me, I mean, if it really isn't too much trouble, the sum of £25, from which I expect to make a tidy sum from a wager on a lovely equine beast"
Explained?
Oh wait til I do the next "phrase for the day"...... hehehehe

| So what no one has anything to smile about around here since August 12th ?? Ok ...so with some encouragement by some here .... my third post. Ya know when you standing in the grocery line waiting to check out and you see all those magazine’s in the isle whispering “read me“. Yeah... one caught my attention. On the front cover was a picture of a corn field with one of those crop type messages. Well, as I was thumbing to the page I came across an article about a newborn baby boy that was born without eyelids. Well through the miracle of modern medicine the Doctors were able to “create” eyelids by taking the very thin foreskin from his penis! I was absolutely amazed by this!!!!!
Needless to say I never made it to the crop field article as it was my turn to check out. Oh well … maybe next visit. But you'll be happy to know that other than being a little cockeyed the littel guy is going to be just fine.

| Ok....this made me smile last Wednesday! I had another f*cking sh*t day at work, demoralising etc & went to Mum's on my way home (it's the day I put out her wheelie bin...errrr...I suppose it's called garbage over there) I try not to rant to her about work...I don't like to worry her, but that day had been REALLY bad. I finished off with "it's not like I'm a rude person...I get on well with many people there, always polite..& where possible....adding a bit of humour"
Mum said...."You are my little ray of sunshine - I tell everyone that - if it wasn't for you I don't think I could have coped"
Believe me...I don't deserve her saying that to me - my sister does far far more for Mum than I do!
Well that made me smile bigtime...& has done since :D

| Oh how wonderful of your Mum!! I know how great a parent appreciating you feels. Sometimes my mom makes me feel like crap - but then she will say something super nice to me and it feels amazing!
You are OUR ray of sunshine on the board too!
I cannot believe people at work give you a hard time! What is wrong with them??
Well, at least the people that count love you! :D
Yes, we call them garbage cans - but your name is so much cuter!!
(dang, missing avatars and smilies! When will they get this server switch finished right???)

| Aw, Drifty, what a wonderful comment from your Mum! I can't think of a better one than for someone to say "I'm their ray of sunshine". Wow, just wow! But.......you know, you, are our "little ray of sunshine". I can't imagine anyone not appreciating you and your humor, it's infectious. Maybe the ones that don't, don't have a sense of humor! | |

| thank you FC & Sky Tis only one person who continually demoralises me at work....my boss! Believe it or not ..we are(were?) friends too.He was my boss for sometime there & chose to leave in 2004, he has popped back a few times to "help out" & in fact one time to sort out the office in the Netherlands & requested I go there to help teach them - which I did.Left the house at 4am - got home 10pm that night & then had to go to work the next day & catch up on a days work. He's come back now in a permanant position ( a year ago) & has treated myself & my "team" like we are nothing.I'm constantly being left out of emails etc that concern me & he's even changing things in the dept I run without my knowledge! Yet he is treating a trainee accountant like he is god - despite the fact the trainee keeps failing his exams!Ok - you support the staff under you...but not the one that fails all the time, ignoring all other staff! Oops - I should have put this in the rant bit! Ummmm...ok...joke... Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. :D | |
