| It is on Lifetime, Sunday nights at 8:00 PM central time.
It has been on for several weeks now. It is where this gorgeous, 24 year old kinda airhead model dies in a car crash but her spirit comes back in the body of a 32 year old, over weight, kinda plain Jane who was a very bright lawyer and died the same time.
So now she is trying to live the life of Jane - be a good lawyer etc. but she is working at the firm of her old boyfriend and cannot tell him who she really is. He is pining away for Deb not knowing he is working with her - but she is now Jane. She is becoming a wonderful lawyer and has these great cases of human interest type stories.
The only person who knows the truth is her very best friend.
It is very cute, funny, and heartwarming! I simply LOVE it!

| I liked Fred, so I'm hoping that maybe the actor playing him is doing something else now but will be coming back in the future. You know, like maybe they wrote him out temporarily so he could do a play or make a movie, or be in another show.
Also, if you're a fan of Margaret Cho's, she's on the show playing Jane's snarky assistant. She's the creator of the show.
One mistake I notice a lot of people make about this show is that they believe Deb is being punished, that she was put into Jane's body to make amends for being shallow and only being concerned with her looks. Actually what happened is that when she died, TPTB up in Heaven didn't know what to do with her since they had no records of her ever doing anything good or bad. She got impatient and told them she belonged on earth, so she hit a button on the computer where they keep records on everyone, and that's how she ended up in Jane's body.

| I didn't know Margaret Cho created the show! Cool! I love her in it. She is perfect in the role.
I did not see the first episode. I actually missed a couple of them - the first one and I think the 3rd because I was busy and completely forgot. I see where you can watch it on-line so I am going to take some time to watch the ones I missed.

| The third one is really good. That's the one where she took on a case where a man had his champion Golden Retriever cloned only the clone except for how he looked was totally unlike Beckham (that's the name of the dog). It's also the one where she represents Deb's/her mom in a divorce suit against her father (who is being represented by Grayson). | |

| Subject: Paula on 2 episodes of DDD! Tue Aug 25, 2009 2:07 pm | |
| Paula Abdul To Host 'VH1 Divas' Tue Aug 25, 9:14 AM PDT Paula Abdul might not be on "American Idol" any longer, but the singer is still surrounding herself with some of music's best singers - and they're all divas! "Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's "Vh1 Divas"! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST," Paula wrote on her Twitter page Monday night. And this year's lineup includes a slew of hot artists - including two past "American Idol" champs. "This year's VH1 Divas show will honor Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus- I am so excited!!" Paula continued in her Tweet. For the first time ever, these leading ladies will perform together live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York. Continuing in true "Divas" tradition, the evening will feature a night of performances, presenters and special guests. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. And while Paula's "Divas" hosting duties will be her first project she has signed on for since leaving "American Idol," it will not be her next appearance on the small screen. Paula will appear next on another diva-licous project - Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva." The singer shot one episode of the series prior to leaving the hit FOX reality show and the second two days after she announced her departure. Paula's first episode of "Drop Dead Diva" airs on September 13, and then four days later she will host "Divas." Her next appearance on the Lifetime dramedy will be on October 11. http://tv.yahoo.com/news/article/tv.accesshollywood.com/paula-abdul-host-vh1-divas-20090825 You go, Girl!! :confetti: | |

| Sorry, but none of the girls on that list have earned the right to be called a Diva.
Aretha is a diva. Diana Ross is a diva. Tina Turner is a diva. Cher is a diva. Patti LaBelle is a diva. Whitney Houston is a diva. Madonna is a diva. Cyndi Lauper is a diva. Barbra Streisand is a diva. You get the drift.
You have to have experience to be a diva. It takes a lot more than just being the flavor of the moment or a radio darling which is all those young ladies are. Talented? Yes. But not Divas.

| Well, today Diva means a few different things and I think many see Divas as female power house sings. They called fanty, J-Hud and Lotoya the Three Divas. I think Kelly Clarkson deserves to be called a Diva in the music biz. Very powerful and respected singer and she has been successful for 8 years now. Jordin could be a Diva in the making. She's got the chops. Miley???? Not seeing it. Ever | |

| Yes I did! It was really good! I loved the storyline and it is soooo true!! Everything geared toward skinny women!
I was glad that her and Kim got a little better understanding of each other.
Paula was funny as the judge too!

| A lot of people online seemed to think she was being a big baby and that she should either suck it up or lose weight. I think it wasn't so much that the store didn't have her size as it was that they treated her so rudely.
And really, I think it was Deb that had the reaction. Remember she had been an aspiring model so she had to watch her weight and her figure and probably all the people she knew did the same thing. So it probably never occurred to her that people could be treated disrespectfully simply for being not a size 0. And notice that Stacy who was treated very well was also angry about how Jane was treated.

| Yes, Stacy is a great friend! Love the actress too. So good at the dumb blonde roles. She was on Two and a Half Men also.
True about the rudeness. Women of color are treated rudely at some stores too. But I think it was good to point out that the average woman is a size 14 - just so many of the really nice stores don't cater to that size.

| Brooke Elliott article - Quote :
- In a TV landscape in which leading ladies are almost always exceptionally thin, it’s a refreshing change to see Elliott as the protagonist in a show that doesn’t mock her for her full-figured frame.
But what’s really smart about the show, Elliott says, is that it’s not just about weight issues and body image.
"It’s easy to see the weight thing at first, but there is so much more to the show than that," she says. "The show, it’s a myriad of ideas. It’s about self-acceptance and identity and what happens when your life doesn’t go the way you thought it would go. It’s about finding self-worth and about finding love. I thought it was neat that she said she sees the show as being in part about what happens when your life takes a different turn that you didn't expect because that's something I've thought of too in regards to the show. A lot of the show is about Deb learning to let go of some of the things that she had as Deb and learning to live as Jane.

| I finally got to watch my tape of last week's episode!!
I sooooo love this show!
YAY for Fred being back. Cool he is human again. SO love the actor playing him. I am going to have to look him up because he is just so familiar to me!
Same with the actress playing Kim. I just feel I have seen her before.
I really enjoyed Rosie, Delta and Liza. They all played their parts really well.
I am glad to see Jane is trying to move on as far as dating is concerned.
I see it only has a couple episodes left. I so hope it comes back. I wonder if we will have to wait until next summer for it though???

| No, I taped it though. I have 4 shows to watch that I taped and that is one of them. I will try to watch it during the day today or tomorrow.
I watched Desperate Housewives and taped Drop Dead Diva. I watched Mad Men and taped Brothers and Sisters. I watched Dancing with the Stars last night and taped One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl! I tell ya my TV schedule is getting killer!!! Last weekend I had 12 hours of shows to watch!!!
I did flip the channel at the commercials so I do know "Jane" met her mom and had a date. Looked really good!
