I guess this is why the team competition is a good thing..........they can work the kinks out before the main competition.

Yes he is very good. As much as I would hate to see Patrick not win, I could live with that kid beating him. If Plushenko does I will not be a very happy camper. There is so much pressure on Patrick to win. Hope he can handle it.

Marty St. Louis is Stamkos' replacement. Excellent choice!
Glad you like it. With our openly gay Vancouver city councilman/United Church Minister and this new video Putin will wish he hadn't brought up the gay issue.

I was so sad Jeremy had such a horrid performance for the short program in the team event. I hope and pray he lets this performance go and can capture the same power and feeling he did at Nationals. I want this Olympics to be something he can be proud of, one where he finishes strong and does the absolute best he possibly can. I know that's a lot to ask and while I want him and hope for him to win, more than anything else, I just want him to do well.
Ashley along with Charlie and Meryl were just announced for Saturday's team event in ladies and ice dance.
Plushenko seriously grates on my nerves. He had a good solid performance but it lacked big time for me. The jumps were outstanding but it was everything else that I thought left something to be desired.
The Japanese skater on the other hand was magnificent all the way around. Kudos to him!!!

Very impressed with the Japanese guy. I have to learn his name. He has a great coach in Brian Order. I was watching youtube of Brian's 1987 World Cup performance and his Silver medal Calgary Olympics performance.

HBC did a great job again on the uniforms! I really love the red and black Hudson's Bay blanket cots.

I don't know why NBC has to just show the ceremonies in Prime Time on TV. CBC has already shown it twice today and will show it again tonight. I know they show it online but it really needs a big screen to get across some of the cool things.

Found the blog for Openly Gay Vancouver City Councillor and Ordained Minster Tim Stephenson. He is Sochi to talk with IOC and see for himself about gay rights in Russia.
