Sky The Hobbit is a must to see. Having seen all the Lord Of The Rings movie The Hobbit was a must. Can't wait to see the next two,(yes it is a three movie trilogy just like the Lord Of The Rings). Shannon

| Sky, you're not the only one who feels Jennifer was too shouty. I've seen a lot of comments like that from others around the internet.
I do think she gave a great performance but it wasn't my favorite from her singing that song.

| It is the nature of the song from Dreamgirls. Jennifer sings it with so much emotion and feeling that you feel the pain and determination and desperation in the meaning of the song and what that character is going through. Adele sang that song with no emotion. I've seen that comment on other boards. I don't even get what the song is about and I couldn't even hear the words for half as she was not singing loud enough to be heard over the orchestra. She has a very nice voice and is pretty (well, a wee bit too much make-up and hair but I know that is her thing) and seems fun and lovely. But for me all the OTT praise and awards thrown her way just baffles me I enjoy many singers much more. I am going to see Argo and very soon. I think I will see Silver Lining Playbook soon too. I might see Life of Pi. | |

| Angel, I didn't realize that song was not in the play and was written for the movie. In that case it soooo should have won over Skyfall! I actually can not get it out of my head this morning and I can't even remember how Skyfall goes. It is certainly a more complying and emotional song that is for sure. But, anything with Adele's name on it wins right now so it just didn't stand a chance. That is a real shame.
Someone who knows the story - what is going on with and what happens to Anne Hathaway's character? You can spoiler it if you wish.

| I didn't hear any of the songs except the one Nora Jones sang.....but I do want to say it was wonderful to see and hear Barbra Streisand singing The Way We Were. That is one of my all time favourite movies. ....and don't they usually have ushers to help the ladies up the steps if they need help in those long gowns? You would have thought someone would have been there to help Jennifer up the steps so she wouldn't have fallen that way. She could have really injured herself. ....and why wasn't RPatz there with Kristen? | |

| They used to always have ushers standing there. I mean they have them, but they don't stand close enough or help all of them. Only nearby if needed. Maybe that went out of fashion You know, women's lib etc. But the poor girl's dress fell down walking up to get her Golden Globe and now she falls down going up for her Oscar. Goodness! I keep reading there are issues with Robert and Kristen. But who knows, could be he is out of the country making a movie or something. I tell ya that Kristen is one oddball. | |

| And the eyelashes! They don't look that bad in that picture - but giving her speech they were distracting. | |

FC for the Les Mis tribute they did a medley of songs from the show. "Suddenly" is the song that was nominated for best song and it was the first part of the medley when Hugh,(Jean Valjean), came out singing. Anne,(Fantine), came out singing next and started singing "One Day More" and then Hugh continued with One Day More then Anne started singing her characters main song which is "I Dreamed A Dream" then Amanda and Eddie,(Cosette & Marious), came out singing "In My Life" then Samantha,(Eponine), came behind those two and started to sing her big song which is "On My Own" Then Russel,(Jevert), and the others came out and were continuing on with "One Day More" and that is the song they all ended on... | I love the picture of Adele on the last page!!! She's got a beautiful face! Love her eyes.
I think Adele is worthy of all the awards and other honors she's received. I feel she's more deserving than some others. She might not be everyone's favorite but she certainly is one of mine! I couldn't be more thrilled for her.

I couldn't be more thrilled for her. I have no problem with her winning the awards for her 21 cd cause it is great I just feel that "Suddenly" is a better song that "Skyfall" and should of won the Oscar but with Skyfall being a James Bond Movie song I am not surprised it won cause James Bond Movie music and songs usually do win awards. I couldn't be more thrilled for her. Me too. She may not be the glitzy, dancie, pop diva but she's got mega talent and is so down to earth. I'm thrilled for her.

| She is down to earth. I just find her rather boring as a performer and I think there are several female singers who are better singers like Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Carrie, Xtina etc. let alone more exciting performers. So yeah, I myself will never quite get it. I think she is very good, just not that amazing to win every award there is | |
