Allison-Iraheta-Idol_l And the record deals for American Idol season 8 finalists continue to roll in at a quick clip. After champion Kris Allen's deal with 19/Jive and runner-up Adam Lambert's deal with 19/RCA were announced earlier this week, EW has exclusively learned that 19 Recordings has also signed fourth-place-finisher, rocker Allison Iraheta, and that her debut album will be licensed to Jive Records, like Allen's forthcoming disc. And just like the the albums from her two fellow alums, Iraheta's is anticipated for a fall release. (Talk about an Idol-rific autumn!)

All week long, Idol fan sites like mjsbigblog were abuzz with rumors of Iraheta's signing. The 17-year-old singer sounds like she's barely processing the news herself: “I think I’m still in shock that this is happening -- getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!” Allison said in a statement released to EW by 19 Recordings. Notably absent from the recent spate of deal-making? That’d be polarizing third-place finisher, Danny Gokey. Says a rep at 19: "There’s nothing to report just yet."

I hope their aren't any die-hard Gokey fans here, because I could care less if he or Michael are signed.

I have to post these pics because I loved this performance.

Allison's studio recordings are awesome. I'm not fond of the country song, but I don't like country music but she did sing it very well.

Yay for Allison! They have a diamond in the rough with her.


The only other one I hope gets signed is Matt. I think he's pretty cool and could fit right in the genre with the likes of Buble and Matt Dusk. I'd be surprised if Danny gets signed for anything other than a Christian CD. I think the music business is too much for him to handle. He still needs to grieve for his wife.

Oh my God you have see this. Alli is freaking hilarious. I sometimes forget she is only 17. She cracks me up She has everybody in that room busting up especially Lil. To bad Adam and Kris weren't in that :)

Allison Iraheta revealed a little bit of her song choices for the summer tour on this afternoon’s chat at Eye on Idol:

“I thought people knew what I was going to do on tour! Something by Pink! And something by the first band I did in the Top 36… and something that made me cry like a baby… oh, geez… that’s so obvious!”

Okay so she’s singing “Cry Baby” which she sang on the show (and one of the best if not the best exit song performances ever), and “something” by Pink and Heart. Hmmmm… what could those be?

Haven't heard anything on Alli since the news broke confirming her record deal. I'm sure that will change though at some point!

I haven't heard anything on Alli either. I guess she is just busy with rehearsals and maybe gathering songs for her CD or writing some songs. I have no idea if she writes though.

I must say I am getting really excited about what her CD will sound like!

She looks beautiful in these pictures! I love what she did to her hair too adding the tiny streaks of blue, pink and purple.

I am so looking forward to Allison's cd and hope they let her show her 'rock' side like she said she wants to record because I'm not 'into' Pop music.

I really believe they will let her rock! They know she has the goods and Idol hasn't had a "real" rocker chick yet. Kelly has tried - but it hasn't really worked. Most don't see her as a rocker. Everyone knows Alli was born to rock!!
