Thanks Kate!  I just talked to mom and she is unsure about what she wants to do today.  I am trying to get her to wait until her echo-gram tomorrow and see what they say.

The DVD sounds interesting.

That was yesterday at the Moscow Fashion week. Odri sportswear line. Yana and Evgeni are the face of Odri in Russia. It is an Italian sportswear line. Really nice jackets. Their son Sasha is so adorable. Evgeni wrote an article that appeared in Russia yesterday about his injuries and he wished he had waited to get the first back surgery until after this years Olympics and just skated with the pain. Sounds like he has had constant pain for years but didn't want to take any heavy meds in case of drug tests for skating competitions.

I hope you mom can wait until tomorrow. She just needs someone to assure her everything is fine.

The roofers now have propane tanks to that means heat will be here soon so shirtless time soon.

Such a shame about the injury and the pain..... 

It was a build up over the years of the landing of jumps. The screws on the first surgery were so big. Evgeni didn't know how big they were until they showed them to him after they removed them. If he had of known how big they were he would have waited. The miracle is the disk fused with muscles so now his back his healing very well. He is hoping he will be able to skate in the fall for the Kings On Ice shows that were cancelled in Russia and Europe.

The dvd is very cool. More then just Tommy. Goes through the history of the band and the background on Tommy being about English kids who went through WWII and the post war years.

The roofers have the tar paper ready. So after their break hoping for some t shirts coming off

Got home about an hour ago.  As I figured they found nothing wrong with mom.  She is such a drama queen!  So after 4 hours there I brought her home.  Tomorrow I take her back there for the echo-gram and we will see if that shows anything.  I have been through this with her sooooo many times.  Anytime she feels "different" or a new "ache"  she NEEDS to go to the ER.  Makes me nuts!

It's not that I am not happy she is OK.  It is just that she doesn't get what an emergency room is for.  It is packed with people who were truly sick or hurt and they can't even figure out why she is there because all she can say is she doesn't feel herself  

I'm glad she's okay FC but she just doesn't seem to get that when you are her with her issues you are not going to feel 'yourself' all the time.    It's too bad she is this way especially considering she is seeing a doctor tomorrow anyhow.

Exactly.  And I tried so hard to explain it to her.  She just doesn't care.  She will go to the ER when she wants to     Rob thinks sometimes she just wants attention.  Gotta wonder.

That makes sense.  Has she ever given any consideration to moving to a retirement home so she is with other people?  Does she have friends that she sees at all?  I know you and your family aren't that far away but far enough.

FC- Sounds that she wants and needs very badly attention. Even from the ER doctors!

Man what a crap of a day. Inventory, stuff everywhere, people everywhere, long lines, under staffed, rude people, not feeling well and I could just go on and on. I'm so happy to be HOME and off the rest of the week!

FC, I'm sorry your mom made you take her to the ER over not feeling right today. I'm glad she is OKAY though.

Sorry you had a tough day Teddy.      Yeah for having the rest of the week off though!!!  One more day for me and I have a 4 day weekend.    

Some people just need to have attention all the time.  My father was like that.  I was home in the evenings but during the day I think he was lost especially after we lost my sister.  I like being on my own but some people just can't deal with it.  Then again, I still go out to work and do things like go to hockey games.

It's going to be kind of a whirlwind of a weekend. I do plan to rest ALOT the next two days since Saturday my parents and I are taking a day trip to Vegas. We're doing one of those bus trips where you leave real early in the morning and get back real late at night. My dad just told us tonight that we have to be at the pickup spot no later than 5:30AM!    That alone made me want to go "WHAT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???" I almost wanted to say I didn't want to go anymore but the tickets are bought and paid for so I can't back out. It's okay I'll just sleep on the bus anyway!

That sounds like a fun day Teddy even though it is early! It's nice that you and your parents are doing things like that together.

I'm going to work on what I want to write in the card tomorrow. I want to try it out separately before I put it in the card. Hopefully I can get it done and give it to my mom Friday or Monday at the latest.

Well, not happy here.  First off it is pouring and thundering and lightening.  Second, I get to spend the day at Delnor Hospital again     I'd rather be working.
