| Go Kelly and Go Pink!!
I do not for one second think Adam will get nominated for anything. Not huge sales and no hit singles = no nominations.

| Fun has two really great songs out right now. Both have been used on Glee. One last season and it is called We Are Young and the newest one was used this season like two weeks ago. Shannon | |

| Did I call it with Call Me Maybe or what. Look what is nominated for song of the year: Song Of The Year: "The A Team" — Ed Sheeran, songwriter (Ed Sheeran) "Adorn" — Miguel Pimentel, songwriter (Miguel) "Call Me Maybe" — Tavish Crowe, Carly Rae Jepsen & Josh Ramsay, songwriters (Carly Rae Jepsen)"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" — Jörgen Elofsson, David Gamson, Greg Kurstin & Ali Tamposi, songwriters (Kelly Clarkson) "We Are Young" — Jack Antonoff, Jeff Bhasker, Andrew Dost & Nate Ruess, songwriters (Fun. featuring Janelle Monáe) ******** I am sorry the writers of Home were nominated in this category. I am hoping it is either Stronger or We Are Young that win this. Shannon | |

| I continue to be baffled on how Taylor Swift gets these nominations. How the heck did "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" get nominated?? If that ridiculous song wins Record of the Year over truly AMAZING songs like "We Are Young" and "Somebody That I Used To Know" I'm going to do more than throw something! Kelly is nominated in that category as well for "Stronger". So GO KELLY!!
Carly Rae didn't get nominated as a new artist thankfully but she did end up with two nominations just the same. Both are for "Call Me Maybe". It's in the Song of the year (writing) and Best Pop Solo Performance categories. She's up against some stiff competition including Kelly and Adele. I don't think she can pull either one off, but crazy things have happened before.
I'm kind of surprised Carrie didn't get a nomination for Best Country Album. I was really expecting to see that one. Still she got nominated for Best Country Solo Performance with "Blown Away. The writers of "Blown Away" got a nomination for Best Country Song too.
Super happy for Kelly as she got 3 nominations. It will be 4 if you count the Song of the Year category, which is for the writers.
I love Pink and wish she had been nominated in something more, but perhaps that will come next time.

| I won't be watching!!
When "Call Me Maybe" can be nominated for best song over a song that was used for the freaking Olympics it's a joke!! The Grammys now are ALL about sales and not artistry! Have been for a long time - and even many artists and critics have said so.
I could see it as Record of the Year, but for songwriting??? Total joke.
If Kelly wins something I will watch it on You Tube. Not gonna waste 3 to 4 hours on this show. Haven't watched it much for many years now so nothing different this year.
AND Carly Rae gets a VOCAL nomination and Adam doesn't???? Tell me it's not all about sales and radio play.
Teddy, Taylor will always get nominated as long as her sales are through the roof - and they are!
AND - Best POP Vocal Performance nominations the first year they lump male and female together = ALL females! Just as expected.... Wonder when a male with get nominated again considering single sales is pretty much owned by female solo artists.

| Brian May is wrong about the Beatles. They got several nominations and wins. List of Beatles Grammy wins and nominationsA lot are for technical type awards and they include solo work that was done after the group split up but they did win a few Grammys as a group too. | |

| Yes, I just read that at AWoP. Maybe he was thinking the big ones like Album, song or record of the year Point is, a lot of icons never did win or get nominated for an Grammy. I saw a partial list at AWoP and it is pretty sad how many greats never got the recognition from their peers. | |

| I pray this creep doesn't win any Grammys!!! - Quote :
- Kill them all slowly and painfully," the artist rapped at a 2004 anti-U.S. protest concert.
South Korean pop sensation PSY, aka Park Jae-sang -- might have won Americans over with his infectious breakthrough single, "Gangnam Style," but has America won him over? The singer will be forced to face those kinds of questions as several anti-American protest performances from his past have begun to surface.
At a 2002 concert staged in opposition to 37,000 U.S. troops stationed on the Korean Peninsula, Mediate reports, PSY took to the stage in gold face paint and a glittery red outfit, then lifted a model U.S. tank over his head before smashing it to pieces on the ground. The performance was a response to the death of two Korean school girls, killed in an accident with an American military vehicle, according to Korean website BusanHaps.com.
Then, two years later, a South Korean missionary was executed in Iraq -- a revenge killing for the country's support of the U.S. war in Iraq. During a protest concert, PSY rapped on the song "Dear American," "Kill those f---ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f---ing Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully."
PSY has appeared on Ellen and the Today show in support of his smash hit song, which has been downloaded 3 million times on iTunes, is the most-viewed video in YouTube history and has earned him more than $8 million, according to some estimates.

| OK you are right. There is an article out there (I saw the headline when I was on a news site) that read "Justin Beiber fans are made about PSY's Grammy Nomination! So I looked up the article and see that they are mad about PSY's Grammy nomination - even though he didn't get one. http://www.fuse.tv/2012/12/justin-bieber-fans-psy-grammy-nominationSo - glad to find out he wasn't. What horrible lyrics!! Cannot stand rappers!!! So much hate and violence in their lyrics! | |
