NO JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE

Pathetic thing is people will buy that book. There should be laws. I hope the State of Florida comes up with a bill in the millions that she has to repay. I hear they're working on the figures.

It would be a real shame if she slipped in the shower before next week and never saw the light of day again.......only not.

You know all the major news shows and morning talk shows are probably bidding to do the very first interview with her too. She won't get paid per se but they will pay her for any new pictures and videos.

To be fair, I'm sure her parents will also be fending offers.

One thing I find interesting is that apparently one of the reasons the jury chose not to find her guilty was because they didn't know how to punish her. The thing is they aren't supposed to be discussing punishment during this time. Also, when you are in a capital case, you have to be willing to impose the death penalty whether you agree with it or not. That's why they ask you if you can do that and why people who say they can't are not allowed to be on capital murder juries.

I think what has the people who have been covering this case a bit baffled (and in some cases concerned) was that this was a very complicated case with a lot of circumstantial evidence. Yet this jury took very few notes and generally during the defense presentation. They asked for no clarification of anything, never asked to see anything, etc. How was it they were able to make a decision so quickly?

I've heard there were a couple of very dominant, very pro defence jurors who took control of the jury. I've got the feeling there was a lot of bullying going on in the jury room and sadly people went along with them to just get the heck out of there. I think the judge needs to take some of the blame as well. His instructions to the jury seem to have left some confusion with some of them.

I am afraid she will be heading for California after her release expecting to hit the jack pot with the Hollywood producers. ugh

I just read a statement from Vivid the porn movie company and they have withdrawn their offer to her for nude pix and vids. He said they underestimated how much the public would hate her.

This whole thing truly just makes me sick. I cannot even comprehend how she's getting off scott free. That jury is going to have to live with this for the rest of their lives. God forbid If something ever happens to another little girl because of that witch well regret won't be the only thing they feel that's for damn sure.

Anderson Cooper just reported that the FLA Dept. of Corrections recalculated her days served. The NEW RELEASE DATE IS JULY 17.

Well woo hoo .............. she gets an extra 4 days.

That SOB seemed very unhappy this morning with the judge decision not to release her today, she probably already had plans.

That smirk on her face made me want to throw up.

This morning on Access Hollywood Live with Billy Bush he addressed viewers questions about why they never covered the trial or featured it at all. I think it's pretty clear as to why they never did. He did mention something very interesting. He said a lot of the media who is going after Casey searching for some kind of deal to cash in is just unacceptable. It's sick and no one should be trying to make money off a little girl who was murdered. He also said when people in the media say they didn't pay someone for an interview they're usually lying. What they will do is buy off any pictures or other kind of personal things that might be featured and use that as an excuse when it's really just a cop out. That person is essentially being paid for the interview. I guess anyone who is trying to cash in on this story is getting serious flack and so they should be. It's simply wrong.

He makes a very good point. If the media hadn't made such a circus of it there wouldn't be the public demand for information. Our justice system (based on the British system) does not allow cameras in the courtroom and in many cases there are publication bans which prevents any information making it to the public. The trial can be reported on but specific information or pictures cannot be released in these cases. One has to wonder if this should have been the case in Casey's trial or any high profile case.

The company from Texas that searched for Caylee is suing Casey for the time they took to search for the girl and didn't help other people who were actually looking for their children. I can no longer listen to anything about Casey, as I spent an enormous amount of time listening and watching. It still makes me sick.

It makes a lot of people sick.

I don't think trials should be televised. It turns the cases into a media circus instead of the serious business that it should be. It turns lawyers into rich superstars. It turns unbalanced people into "fans" of the accused. We begin to treat it as a competition, a sport, and forget the true meaning of the justice system.

As for Casey, I can think of no scenario other than guilt that would explain her lies and actions in the month after Caylee's disappeared. If there were an explanation other than murder, wouldn't it have been an excellent time to come forth with that explanation before she went on trial for her life? Wouldn't she have taken the stand and EXPLAINED if she had an explanation? Scott Petersen was convicted with much less evidence.

My heart breaks today for Caylee. The person who threw her away like she was garbage has walked out into a free world - one which might even make her rich. I am both sad and sickened today. That is why the theme of the board today is to remember a beautiful little angel who was not given the chance to walk free and have a life rich in love and happiness and joy. All taken from her by the person who was SUPPOSED to protect and love her above all others.

My heart also breaks for George and Cindy. They will forever feel they failed Caylee (George said that.) They were dragged through the mud, having done nothing wrong themselves, and their life is hell. I hope they can somehow find some peace of mind.

Yes, I feel bad for them too.... I read they are not letting Casey come home to their house. I hope they never have anything to do with her again. I know it's hard but......

....and they snuck her out under protective custody. She should have had to walk out the front door with no protection. Caylee didn't have any protection from her.
