Hey everyone!!! What a day it's been! First of all I only got like two hours of sleep. I went to bed just before 1am but I laid wide awake for over four hours! I don't know why I couldn't sleep. I did get a little sick during the night too but it wasn't anything major. Got up around 8am this morning to start getting ready for my day. Today was the company picnic for quite a few stores including ours. (They do them in cycles.) I was due to meet up with a friend/co-worker over at the store and then go from there. Things kind of got crazy this morning though and I was running late or so I thought. I was originally going to take the bus, but my mom ended up giving me a ride. Turns out I didn't have to worry because my co-worker called me a quarter after 10 and told me she hadn't left her house yet. It was shortly before the call that I realized in my rush I had forgotten the little wristband thing we needed to get in and have handy for the big raffle. So you know what I did? I trekked it all the way back home to get it. By the time I made it back to the store to meet up it was already an hour over the time we were supposed to leave! One of the first things she told me was that I could have gotten an extra from our boss. UGH!! I wasn't stressing out about it, but it was a bit annoying you know? In the end though it all turned out just fine! The manager that was in at work bought me chocolate cupcakes!!! SCORE!

The picnic was a lot of fun. It was held in Redondo Beach at Seaside Lagoon. What a nice little private area right there on the coast!! It could not have been a more gorgeous day out too. Maybe a little muggy but other than that very lovely. The raffle was filled with so many amazing gifts. The things they had to give away were HUGE and EXPENSIVE. TV's, blu-ray players, iPods, iPads, PS3, X-BOX, bbq's, picnic baskets, bikes, coolers, gift cards, Dodger tickets, Angels tickets and just the list goes on forever. Sadly I did not win anything. That's alright because I have no idea how the heck I would have brought any of that home! I sure do wish I would have gotten that big 32" TV though. I would have given it to my parents.

I'm really glad I decided to go. It was the first time that I attended one of these events. I think I'll definitely be going again in the future. After telling my parents all about it tonight at dinner they said they would go with me next year. Sure hope they do!!

I just got back from dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant. It's usually where I always go for my birthday, but I do sometimes switch it out with other favorites every year or two. Tonight was a very delicious dinner. I had my favorite strawberry daiquiri, which was YUMMY!!! For dessert we shared a New York cheesecake topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Again YUMMY!!!!!

I've gotten so much birthday love today. It's truly made me feel very special. I even got sang to not once but twice at the picnic and then again later on at the restaurant. Thanks to everyone for your wishes!! It means so much!

Potsie it was New York cheesecake underneath all that yummy strawberry goodness. As you can see there was a theme going last night. I LOVE STRAWBERRIES!

We love strawberries too! I just got back from The Fresh Market and bought a few pounds of huge gorgeous dark red ones!!!
