| I have the DVD - brilliant film!!! There is one bit though that made me (I used to know where it was on the DVD too) The females making their way back after feeding.....& it's almost as if one of them trips, although she is probably going to the "sliding along on stomach" mode...but as she falls you hear what sounds like a "Oh pftttttttttttttttttttt" Such an amazing & eye opening film though! It was sad though that on the back of that a baby penguin called Toga was stolen from a zoo here in Dec 2005, not old enough to fend for itself & the thieves wouldn't have a clue how to care for it.I don't think it was ever found | |

| Got these from Aunt Mary this morning:
While I sat in the reception area of my doctor's office, a woman rolled an elderly man in a wheelchair into the room. As she went to the receptionist's desk, the man sat there, alone and silent. Just as I was thinking I should make small talk with him, a little boy slipped off his mother's lap and walked over to the wheelchair. Placing his hand on the man's, he said, 'I know how you feel. My mom makes me ride in the stroller too.'. * * * As I was nursing my baby, my cousin's six-year-old daughter, Krissy, came into the room. Never having seen anyone breast feed before, she was intrigued and full of all kinds of questions about what I was doing. After mulling over my answers, she remarked, 'My mom has some of those, but I don't think she knows how to use them.' * * * Out bicycling one day with my eight-year-old granddaughter, Carolyn, I got a little wistful. 'In ten years,' I said, 'you'll want to be with your friends and you won't go walking, biking, and swimming with me like you do now. Carolyn shrugged. 'In ten years you'll be too old to do all those things anyway.' * * * Working as a pediatric nurse, I had the difficult assignment of giving immunization shots to children. One day I entered the examining room to give four-year-old Lizzie her needle. 'No, no, no!' she screamed. 'Lizzie,' scolded her mother, 'that's not polite behavior.' With that, the girl yelled even louder, 'No, thank you! No, thank you! * * * On the way back from a Cub Scout meeting, my grandson asked my son the question. 'Dad, I know that babies come from mommies' tummies, but how do they get there in the first place?' he asked innocently. After my son hemmed and hawed awhile, my grandson finally spoke up in disgust. 'You don't have to make something up, Dad. It's OK if you don't know the answer.' * * * Just before I was deployed to Iraq , I sat my eight-year-old son down and broke the news to him. 'I'm going to be away for a long time,' I told him. 'I'm going to Iraq ....' 'Why?' he asked. 'Don't you know there's a war going on over there?' * * * Paul Newman founded the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for children stricken with cancer, AIDS and blood diseases. One afternoon he and his wife, Joanne Woodward, stopped by to have lunch with the kids. A counselor at a nearby table, suspecting the young patients wouldn't know that Newman was a famous movie star, explained, 'That's the man who made this camp possible. Maybe you've seen his picture on his salad dressing bottle?' Blank stares. 'Well, you've probably seen his face on his lemonade carton.' An eight-year-old girl perked up. 'How long was he missing?' * * * His wife's grave side service was just barely finished, when there was a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumbling in the distance. The little old man looked at the pastor and calmly said, 'Well, she's there. * * *

| Am I bad? The training session I did with a woman from one of our other sites went well the other day, & as we were chatting about "things" she mentioned that the Financial Accountant at her office had a "favourite pen" & was so very possessive over it! Well she (the FA) is always at our office on a Wednesday - & when she went to lunch today...I pinched her pen, took a pic on my mobile phone & emailed it to my work address, added the text that the pen had been kidnapped & wouldn't be returned unless a bag of Maltesers were left in a certain place then printed the picture off & left it on her desk. I put the pen in an envelope & left it with the receptionist & asked that as soon as I contacted her, she would phone the FA to say there was a package in reception for her (all in a matter of 10 minutes...& rofl I WAS humming the "mission impossible" theme to myself!!!) After that I went for a ciggie break (I know...bad habit!!) & when I came back through the canteen I was relieved to see that she had finished lunch & gone back to the office - I wasn't sure how I would keep a straight face if I was in the office when she returned! Got further down the canteen & then spotted her at the vending maching buying 2 bags of Malteasers - I had to go back outside !!!!! I did get her pen back to her in the end but I had added a disclaimer at the bottom of the ransom note saying that the woman that had been there the previous day had NOTHING to do with it ! Hehehehehe how sus does that look ! Oh - it cheered me up for the day! (even if I did feel guilty at one point!!) Wonder how long I'll keep my job now ! | |

| LMAO ! I REALLY did feel guilty!!! Apparently when she rushed to reception to get it back, our receptionist Sam said all that was said was "Pen????????????????" in a really worried voice! I had originally planned to keep it for a while, set up a yahoo or msn email addy & send pictures of it to her super imposed on various landmarks around the world saying things like "Miss you mum, but having a great time in Paris/Athens/New York etc" but I couldn't do it to her! Just hope there isn't a "revenge" plan in place, coz my revenge to that will be given a lot more thought than a couple of hours | |

| I wonder why she is so attached to the pen?? I think you should have done that! You could have done a "Where In The World Is The Pen Now" series!! (we have a morning show over here where the host travels and does a segment called "Where In The World Is Matt Lawry) | |

| When I finished the " mission" & handed the pen to Sam on reception...she did say..."I hope her dying Grandmother or someone didn't give her it"...ummmmmmmmmmmm as you can imagine I was really at that idea. But I had been giving the woman she works with updates, & she would have known if it was for sentimental reasons that it was her "fav" pen. I have promised faithfully never to touch it again though Oh you should hear how I got my revenge on my fav aunt once after she thought it would be funny sticking a load of hairbrushes & things in the bottom of my bed....but that's for another day (actually my mum reminded me of it today, I'd called in to see her on my way home & told her the pen story...) Maybe a " best prank done...or heard of" thread should be set up! | |
