I've been trying to find out what hotels are participating in the concert promotion. Still waiting to hear back from CofC or Tourism Bureau! Certain hotels are giving guests free concert tickets. I don't mind buying them ($14.95 or $20 for both nights...super cheap!), but if they come with a hotel stay, I'll go along with that!

I've been trying to see Marc Broussard for years, but he's never performing anywhere I can get to easily! But now, with both Marc & Michael performing in the same place on the same weekend, I can make the effort!! If DH is willing, so am I!

He's so freaking cute!!!

It's not looking good, people! Didn't hear from anyone I e-mailed about hotels yesterday, so DH and I looked on Google last night. We checked the customer reviews on all the hotels we thought we'd be interested in staying at in the county, and very few people had anything good to say about any of them! Little things like musty, smelly, damp, rude, moldy! There was only 1 bed and breakfast that got good reviews! DH doesn't like BnB's much!

Anyway, I was so discouraged this morning that I decided not to go! But after thinking about it, I thought I'd try one more time to find a hotel a little further away...say Gulfport. When I sat down at my computer and checked my e-mails first, I found 2 from the Tourism Bureau, both from the same person. One gave me a website to check out (one we had been to last night), and the other gave the specific name of a condo complex. I checked out the condo, and it was nice at $100 a night. I thought if we had to, we could spend at least 1 night there anyway.

So I went to Ticketmaster for show tickets, and, though I knew it was GA, I did not know that it was "festival seating," and you know what that means! Those 3 little words, SRO, are an instant "NO!"

So it's back to Plan A, which was to wait for Michael's headlining show in Vegas! Hopefully, as I've read, it'll be a year-long contract, and we can pick and choose the best time for us to go.

Anyway, it was a lovely idea! It would have been a nice little vacation, but it ain't gonna happen this time around! But I'm cool with it!

It just seemed too perfect, FC, to have both Michael and Marc under the same roof at the same time! Oh, well! Their loss! Someday...sometime!

Too bad they couldn't have the concert in a better venue. I think they could have drawn people from far and wide! The whole purpose of the concert is to draw people to the Gulf Coast, for pete sake!! We just weren't about to go so far just to STAND in the BACK!!
