| Sorry to say that I did not enjoy the Emmys. Probably because I usually don't watch many tv shows I think the Middle is funny but it didn't get nominated at all and I like The Good Wife. That's about it insofar as what I watch | |

| The Middle is also awesome AIH! Nothing like it on TV right now. The cast is perfect. They could not have gotten better kids and Patricia Heaton is funnier in this show than she was on Raymond! I was shocked she wasn't nominated.
I have never watched The Big Bang Theory so I know nothing about Jim Parsons, but I am reading a lot of really positive response about his win - so I guess he is really good.
I really didn't expect Mathew and Lea to win for Glee because their roles are not really that comedic like Jane's is. In fact they need to be serious a lot of the time. They are amazing as singers/performers - but when it comes to the comedy aspect I can see why others won.
I am thrilled about Claire Danes!!!

Oh me too, along with Michael Hall. As a sentimental favourite I'd love Kyle Chandler to win from Friday Night Lights. Michael didn't win but he sure looked fabulous! Do you watch Dexter, Canear?

I don't watch a lot of TV either, or at least not any shows that were nominated for anything. I do watch Dexter but have to watch online. It's my favorite show and last season was the absolute best! John Lithgow was brilliant. Matthew Morrison? I didn't even know who he was and had to google him, not my cuppa in looks.

| So thrilled for Jane!!!!!!!!!!! SHE DESERVED IT! I am bummed Glee didn't get anything else tonight other than the director win for Ryan. That was awesome! I do have to say the whole cast looked gorgeous! Not without a few WTH's but who cares! Everyone kept saying it was going to be a Modern Family night. Everyone in the business at least. The huge majority of the fans were rooting for Glee ALL THE WAY. As disappointed as it is though there's always NEXT year! | |

What is the difference between reality series and reality show? The huge majority of Glee fans were disappointed. I would not say the general public though. At ONTD last night there were over 300 pages of comments and it was overwhelmingly positive for Modern Family. Also huge thrills over Jim Parsons. So I guess it depends which boards you read. Glee is not your traditional comedy. It has lots of musical numbers and also drama. I think the Comedy Emmys will usually go to the shows that are laugh out loud funny. I enjoy Glee like crazy - but I seldom actually laugh out loud. Modern Family certainly makes one laugh out loud.

Once in a while. It's on at a strange time here and I never remember when it's on but when I do see it I love it!

| Well then they need to make a category that is more for shows like Glee otherwise things are going to happen like last night. People that are so deserving continue to get looked over. Yes they get the nominations but they don't win cause as you said FC their roles are not really comedic. I read in the US Today that Edie Falco really didn't get how she was in a comedy category cause she says her character is not comedic in the least. Also as I was saying if Matthew didn't win then Tony S. should of got it for Monk. The man is amazing and Monk when it was on was an amazing show that last a lot of seasons. Shannon | |

| Yes he is and he won several times in a row for Monk. Golden Globes too along with others. Tony did just fine in the gathering of awards during his run as Monk.
I know nothing about Nurse Jackie. Never saw a second of it.

| I remember reading somewhere that Ryan wants to concentrate more on the characters than the music this second season. There will only be 4 songs an episode instead of the 5-6 there usually were. So perhaps there will be more focus on the comedic aspect too. We shall see. I hope at some point Emmy recognizes Glee in those TOP categories. The whole cast is very talented and they deserve to be rewarded for it with an actual WIN not just recognized with a nomination. | |
