I just read that Tommy's new sweater was his Dad's. In that case it just doesn't matter if it looks right. It is sweet and probably makes him feel close to his Dad.

Yes, it will indeed bring him comfort. I have several items of my Dad's around the house and they bring me comfort. I have his stapler and letter opener on my office desk. His watch near a picture of him. His rosary I keep in my purse. And so many more!

First of all let me say that since I don't know anything about him I am probably way off. Okay my thoughts on Tommy.

I have no idea when Tommy started wearing his hair the way he does, if it was back in '07 then I am completely wrong.

I think that Tommy watched Adam on Idol and got a big crush. He read about Adam as we all did. He read just what kind of guy Adam likes and he made himself look just like that guy. We have all seen pictures of Tommy from before, he looked like a different guy. I thought he was cute then.

Tommy hears that Adam is putting together a band and he goes to try out. He knows that Adam will notice him because of his looks and in his reading he knows what Adam's favorite movie is and surprise! that just happens to be his.... yeah right.

Tommy and Adam bond but Tommy is straight so Adam doesn't have to feel that Tommy is after him. I don't think Adam would have hired a gay guy and been doing what he is doing, it could have made things uncomfortable but Tommy is straight so it is all safe.

Now of course after awhile Tommy can come to the realization that he really is gay and by that time he and Adam will be such close friends that it is reasonable to just let things progress.

So, that is one thought. The other thought is actually more troubling. Someone said a while back that Tommy is a functioning alcoholic. I don't know if that is true. Someone else made the comment that all of the other members of the band will still have careers even without Adam but Tommy didn't have a career, so he would never willingly leave. I worry what Tommy would do if for some reason he were let go. He has experienced a life that only exists if he is with Adam, how would he react to losing that.

As I said I know nothing about Tommy and maybe I am being really unfair. If he was wearing his hair like he does now and wearing makeup even before '08 Idol and if he isn't an alcoholic and has had all sort of offers with other bands then I am just being mean and actually I hope that is the case

Honestly, I don't read anything at all about Tommy or the Adommy threads anywhere so I haven't a clue if he drinks or not I do know that he looks way different now than a few years ago. I have no idea when he changed his look though.

Wow Jaycee those are some big thoughts. I've kind of had similar thoughts too.

Thinking and worrying are what I do and when I let myself go it is no telling where I will end up.

As I said I hope I am way off the mark but when I read the comments I did it just got me thinking.

Your thoughts do make sense Jaycee. The change in Tommy was so drastic and he wasn't being successful with his other look.......then he lucked out, Adam hired him ...... then the AMA's and the rest is history. I'm just glad Adam doesn't seem to have to any more feelings for him than as a friend considering that he seems to be 'dating'. I just don't get a good vibe about him and that's why I really hate how the fans have latched onto him the way they have and that Adam makes him such an integral part of the show.

Jaycee I would not be at all surprised if some of your thoughts aren't too far off the mark. I'm pretty sure some of them aren't. I could weigh in and shed a little light on what I mean if I knew more than I currently do but even if I did I'd have to explain how I know. I'm not sure the person wants me to divulge the information so that's why I haven't said anything. Heck I'm probably saying too much now. LOL Better zip my mouth up!

It is what it is, is his life, he is cute as a pin.

I love him as part of the band and the rest is not of my concern.

I get what you are saying and I wouldn't want you to repeat anything.

I just want the best for Adam in all things. So, regardless of what the truth is, I just don't want it to hurt him.

Yep that's what it all comes down to. No one hurt Adam!
