| Next Thursday, Hubby and I are leaving for a road trip to Arizona. We plan on driving down through Utah, see a few sites and then head to Arizona. On the way back, probably around May 2, we'll drive back through Nevada and stop in either Vegas or Reno, then head home and possibly stopping in Oregon to see my bestest friend at least for lunch or something. Lots of packing to do before we leave.........I can take more stuff! We'll actually transport a couple of things down for our son that he never took with him when he moved down there. Funny how attached you become to an internet connection as that's what we check for at hotels before committing to stay there. It's surprising to us that some of the hotels we looked up for Utah and Nevada don't have free WiFi! We'll be taking the Netbook and Laptop so we both can get online! No sharing here! | |

Drive safely! Sounds like an awesome roadtrip. It's great you'll be able to check in since I suspect we'll be getting tour news before much longer! | |

| I am thinking of suing my dental surgeon for giving me this awful pain in my jaw since I had the implants done. I went to my regular dentist who found nothing wrong, according to the xrays. But ever since I had this implant done, I have had pain nonstop. Has anybody ever sued a dentist? What was the result? | |

| No, I haven't........ Not knowing exactly where the pain is........on/in the implant area or in the jaw? I'm only asking wondering if you could have TMJ. TMJ is very painful and it's in the jaw joint. | |

| I have never sued anybody I am so sorry you are in constant pain. That must be so very upsetting. I do not know anything about TMJ except that Clay had it and had surgery for it and it didn't work. Maybe you should Google TMJ and see if it sounds like something that is a possibility. | |

| I do have TMJ but this pain is different. It is below my chin and the inside of my mouthis swollen, although the xray shows nothing. I wish I could pull the implant out | |

| That sounds just awful. Do they have any clue as to why? Maybe a nerve? | |

| Yes, they think that a nerve is nearby and that the dental surgeon hit it when he injected the area to numb it. Meanwhile, I am left with a pain that goes on and on | |

| Do they know if the pain will go away? What do they say you can do? Is this a common occurance, To hit a nerve? If it was negligent, then maybe you do have grounds for a suit against him. You'd have to have professionals willing to back you up, I would think. I hate that you have all this pain........... | |

| Sky- It is a long shot. The three teeth next to the affected area are compromized in that one of them has half a root and the others share a root. But the pain is near my chin. I was told that it will subside in time and the dentist that did it is written up as one of the best dentists. I do not know who would testify against him. I just hope the pain goes away. Obviously, I would never rcommend this guy to anyone except to Clayscience The last time I had this pain was when I had an implant there and the pain stopped when the implant fell out , also unusual. So they said then that it must have been the implant. I was very reluctant to do it over. Now, again. The implant goes in and the pain starts again. | |

| Oh goodness - that is all just so sad and upsetting. Have they given you anything for inflammation and pain? When I had some dental nerve issues they had me take 4 Advils every 6 hours around the clock for 4 days. It did indeed help. Why don't you give that a try and see if it helps at all | |

| I would think the Vicodin or Darvocet would have helped...... Can't the Dentist prescribe something else that might work? | |

| Vicodin makes me Remember - both my docs stressed 4 at a time every 6 hours round the clock! Set your alarm they said. I had to do this for both dental problems and when I sprained my lumbar vertebrae. Hope it helps! | |

| FC- I did try Advil today, but I am afraid to take 4 every six hours Especially since there is a warning regarding high blood pressure which I do have. It said not to take Advil if you have high blood pressure. Well I took one and I will see what happens. But the most I can take is 2. The pain is unrelenting. I will go to another dental surgeon and see what he says. Thanks for your help. | |
