That is too much blood thinners! And that Countimin is dangerous stuff. I can't understand why they've got her on so many blood thinners. That's ridiculous. Sorry, I just don't understand.

Because her heart is so weak and because she had blockages and a stent put in. I mean that is why they put her on all that. Now if that is too much - I just don't know enough. They feel they all are doing something right because for someone with such a weak heart she is doing great as far as energy and getting out and about. I swear she has more energy than I do. She would be out every day if she could be.

I'm sure the Dr.s are doing what they feel is best. I've just never heard of anyone taking that many blood thinners, especially Plavis with Coumadin or more so the Plavix with aspirin. Just sounds like a dangerous combination, but what do I know...I'm not a doctor. My sister was on Plavix and got an ulcer.

Well, I talked to mom this morning - I am leaving soon - and found out she is not on Coumadin anymore. They took her off of it when they put her on the Plavix. But they said the 4 baby aspirins were a MUST!

That's good. That stuff is so bad.

Good to know she isn't on Coumadin along with the Plavix. Because of the danger of a bleeding ulcer, my sis was not to take aspirin with the plavix, but as long as her doctor is monitoring her, she should be fine. It's still so scary for all you with this latest problem.

Oh FC, how frightening for all of you! Has she given any consideration to having someone stay with her until this all gets sorted out? Does she have one of those alarms (sorry I'm not sure what they are called) that you just have to push a button and help comes right away? You must worry so with her living alone.

Thanks everyone. She doesn't feel she needs anybody there. I've talked to her about selling her place and moving in with us and she doesn't feel ready for that. Honestly, if you met her you would think she is healthy as can be. Looks great and feels good.

She doesn't have one of those button things. I will check into that.

A person has to be ready to make a change like that, you can't force them. I don't know alot about those things FC, but I think if she has a home alarm system there is something that can be hooked into that or there is a bracelet or necklace they can wear.

Phew FC I feel for you it is TOUGH to go through stuff like this. Hopefully everything will get sorted out.

Thanks Aerwin. Yes, it was just 3 years ago we went through all that hell with my dad. Hopefully things will get better for mom soon. She was in good spirits yesterday and we had a nice day out.

Hey guys sorry I wasn't around the last two days. Since I have been sick I have been trying to get more sleep. I went to the Dr. on Monday and I do indeed have a throat infection. I am taking antibiotics for the next ten days.

If I am not on tomorrow it is because I am really trying to rest as much as I can.

Today I had a dental implant done and boy does it hurt now. I have been dealing with upper and lower dental implants for a year now and I am tired ot it. For those of you who do not know, dental imlants are ground into the bone in your mouth so that you can have "teeth" implanted into them. Sounds terrible So now I am going to take my pain medicine and try to rest. Again, I won't be able to participate with you all again but I am trying to keep up with Adam news. See you soon

Oh I know about dental implants! I almost got one - but my insurance wouldn't cover it and I got a bridge instead. Sounds like I was lucky the insurance said no!!
