SALES DATA FOR IDOLS

This is always a terrible week for CD sales. Everyone got what they wanted for Xmas!

These are the numbers from Monday. Of course they are only 36.20% in so I wonder what will be the outcome for later on Tuesday. Susan is in the lead as expected with 47,572 units sold. I bet she will hit 100,000 for sure. Carrie and Adam,(for Adam I could see his sales being in the 18,000 to 15,000 this week), are both in the top 50. No Kris and Alli which doesn't surprise me cause they haven't been in the top 50 the last few times they have done the numbers,(If Kris could at least sell 10,000 to 11,000 then that would be okay since people know January sucks for sales. His single sales should be a lot better and that will be good for him. For Alli I am hoping for at least 10,000 also). Another long week of waiting

Thanks for the info!

Here is the final list I believe. Susan Boyle sold around 132,000 copies Dang that woman is just going and going with this cd. Adam is on the list at around 16,000,(that is rounded off). No Kris and Alli in the top 50 yet again. The number 50 cd was at 13,000 rounded off so praying Kris can be in the mix for about 10,000 or 11,000. For Alli same prayer. Now I need to go find the singles sales list cause on that list at least I know Kris will do pretty well.

For the love of all that is good who in the freaking heck is still buying Susan B's cd It is still number 1 on Amazon and I don't see it changing any time soon especially cause she is also doing Oprah.

Adam's cd is #26 on Amazon

Kris's is in the 100's and Poor Alli's is sitting in the 200's

Yeah, the Susan Boyle thing has gone beyond bizarre to me. I know for a fact there are people buying it and not even listening to it - some not even opening it - because of her backstory and wanting to help her out. I know this because I have read it. I have read posts on other boards of people buying it and thinking it is the most boring CD ever - and yet it just keeps on selling like hot cakes!

The numbers are pretty much half in and ugh not looking really good for the idols except maybe Carrie,(though even at this point the sales aren't what you are used to for Carrie). Susan Boyle just unfreaking real and same with Justin Bieber . Kris and Alli not there and I just pray that their cd's sold in the 5,000 to 6,000 area this week. Adam is at almost 4,000 now so maybe he will be at 8,000 or 10,000 in sales,(hoping he doesn't fall out of the top 50 like the other two). I feel bad for Katharine Mcphee; her sales aren't that good right now. The cd may sell 20 to 25,000 or less for first week :( I still can't believe her label chose to drop her cd in January which is the worst month of the year

Well at least SuBo's sales dropped more compared to the last few weeks. I do still wonder why she keeps selling like hot cakes and how on earth is she still #1????

I could see SuBo's cd selling like 75 to 80,000 when all 100% come through. Just amazing.

Sorry but I am just getting myself prepared for this. Also thinking about her is keeping my mind off being depressed for Kris and Alli :(

The number 50 cd at this point has almost 3,000 sold so when the numbers come in at 100 % that cd may be at 6,000 or 7,000 possibly. Not much breathing room for Kris and Alli there. Allison only sold 4,000 when they did numbers last week so I am really afraid to see her numbers. Kris's was at about 9,000 so i am hopeful for at least 5 or 6 thousand if possible.

I know it all worries every week Angel and you have always a number in mind based on the particularly week. As low as it might be or even as high as it might the fact is that it's selling and that's good. I just can't allow myself to get so down in the dumps and worry myself sick all the time. I know it's sad and it does pain my heart too, but for the time being got to keep the smile on my face!

Numbers are fully in and Susan Boyle did better than I thought she would do this week; her cd sold almost 100,000 the only thing that did happen is she got ousted out of number 1 position. She got ousted by Keisha Adam came in at #41 with about 11,000,(that is rounded off I think his numbers were 10,900 or something). Poor Katharine sold about 14,000,(rounded). No Kris and Alli!

That list is rather screwy when you consider some of those CDs were only for sale for about 5 weeks of 2009 compared to others which where out for many months of 2009.

His cd should of sold a lot more. I went to show many stores to get it and none had it I finally found it on a store on ebay. it is so good and no one is really hearing it cause you can't get it unless you have Itunes or a credit card to get from amazon and not everybody has those. Poor George :(

Plus the fact that there is no promotion for him. I never see him. I never hear him. I had no clue he put out a CD. People can't buy what they don't know exists. There are people out there who aren't on the internet (hard to believe I know ) and they wouldn't have any way to get it or even know what he is up to.

This is true.

Another reason it makes me mad. He has three cd's out. His Christmas ep, His cd "Miracles" and his new cd "George Huff"

I have all three and they are all amazing. This is what I have mentioned before when it comes to the Idol Alums. It is like they freaking get ignored by some even if it is even the labels. It is like they don't remember to even promote these people and I believe this is because they feel cause of Idol all the people know the person anyway but like you said FC not all have the internet and they do know the person but it doesn't mean they know they have a cd out.

Numbers are in and Jeez to Susan Boyle 81,276 unfreaking real and just imagine her numbers coming out next week since she was on Oprah. I am just gobsmacked. Congrats to Carrie and Adam. No top 50 for Kris or Alli yet again So Kris's numbers are either 9,000 or less but hoping they are better than 5,000.. Kris and Alli need something HUGE for promotion!! Oh ugh to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga having so many cd's out. Those two alone are taking up most of the top 50.
